Nice and spacious apartment, great location!
We couldn’t really use the oven as stuff had fallen to the bottom from other people cooking and it was creating a lot of smoke and unpleasant smells.

Fantastic place - very clean. Staff was excellent and helpful. Room was well equipped. We enjoyed our stay
Although this is outside the control of Sanctuary retreats, the street was a bit noisy at night.

Beautiful space in a great location. Outdoor terrace and kitchen were helpful. Feels calm and peaceful in NYC. Would highly recommend.

We were looking for a room for a few nights after staying in another hotel in midtown manhattan, and we were lucky to find availability at the Sanctuary NYC retreat. The area (in lower east end) is awesome: it is very lively with a metro station very close with a big choice of options for good food (restaurants and take-away, some of them even available quite late). The room was very clean, comfortable, and convenient for a family (the children could sleep on the sofa bed). We enjoyed the unique atmosphere of the hotel. The assistant manager, Kaileigh, was very kind, helpful and accommodating. We really appreciated our stay!

Clean, spacious room in a great location. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The best hotel we’ve stayed in NYC. Will definitely be back.
nothing really

What a fantastic surprise! The room (suite? apartment?) was very large and had a bunch of amenities, including a full kitchen, which was very useful to have to store food and just feel at home when I needed a cup or plate. Did I mention the room can with a large patio balcony? This became a little oasis with the hustle of NYC! The vibe of the place was also quite zen. Staff were very friendly and welcoming! Bed and bedding were comfy, and I was able to do work effectively on the desk in the room. Also, excellent location! A fantastic stay for unbelievable value!

Great location, very helpful staff. It was so lovely to have an apartment and kitchen in NYC. Very spacious and clean apartment close to great bars and restaurants for local NYC vibe.
The plumbing in the building is loud (think there’s an air-lock that need fixing)
10.0
the location and hospitality of the personnel. we needed some help and they were very open to help us!
I would suggest replacing small bottles with shampoo etc. with larger ones that can be refilled by your staff. In my opinion it’s more environment friendly :)

Beds were very comfortable. Extremely quiet at night which is amazing for NYC. Full modern kitchen and patio area to sit outside is fab.
Furniture needs a little love . Bedside locker missing.

The hotel is incredibly quiet for a NYC hotel and it's very convenient if you are visiting the Lower East Side of Manhattan. Check-in was efficient and Sable showed us to our room, which was a nice touch. Lots of restaurants within walking distance if you are dining out.
The optional stairwell is very dark and should always be illuminated.

the place
non-existent staff, dilapidated bathroom, a lot of noise, no breakfast, and no yoga atmosphere

we love the room and facilities as well as the area (LES).
some noise from the street, not a big problem for us though.

Very comfortable room with good amenities. The employees were kind. Comfortable checkin, we left our luggage earlier than checkin time and it was taken to our room. There was also an elevator, which was very important to us since we had a stroller. The area was easy to reach.
We had asked for a crib twice but they didn't answer if it would be available. When we arrived they told us that the room has an extra bed. Since we have a 7-month old, a bed is a fall-risk but still, we said OK and that we would put some pillows, so she doesn't fall. When we went to the bedroom there was no extra bed and we found out there was a foldable bed in the closet, which they hadn't set up for us, so we did it ourselves.
In terms of cleanliness, there was some hair in the bathroom and a lipstick stain on the pillows. The sheets did not look fresh.
The area although easy to reach was quite shady at night.

Spacious, clean, smells great, staff was friendly
The door locks are a nightmare. A tap and go security key would be more convenient

Location is great, close to eateries and shops. SoHo Chinatown little Italy. Less than 10min walk to metro which can bring you to places. Overall experience was good. Clean and clear communication with staff with self check in and check out. Good morning run down south along the pier to Brooklyn bridge.
Sadly due to covid there isn’t breakfast and free yoga lessons. Was thinking of catching yoga lessons but maybe next time.

fantastic space, very big for NYC, and easily fit our family of five people. loved having a kitchen and outdoor space; the beds were comfy too. fun neighborhood to discover.
the air conditioner was very loud and not super effective; I would stay here at other times but not over the summer. we stayed 5 nights and do wish that we had had housekeeping service at least once during that period, to clean out trash, bring fresh towels, etc.

Mario & Selma are professional & courteous. Beautiful room that gives vibes of living in a studio apt on LES

Huge room with a patio, nice size bathroom, kitchen fully equipped, nice decoration throughout the hotel and a wonderful host. Clean, quiet and conveniently located.
I am not sure, we had everything turning out perfect for what we need it.

even being in the city it was a quiet sanctuary!

Spacious room (for NYC), fun local neighborhood, lovely room artwork, nice in-room kitchen, comfortable bed, storage space. Very clean, quiet (some street noise but running fan created nice white noise), easy to communicate with staff. It felt like we had our own apartment in nyc. Enjoyed nearby Ludlow Coffee, Heaven’s Hot Bagels, and Punjabi Deli for a simple and cheap dinner. I would stay here again.
if I had to pick something, the TP and sheets were thin.

The staff were exceptionally nice and helpful.
The room was immaculate! The bed was a
Little too soft for me but I found a firm spot
And had a great sleep the 2nd night. The
Location great. The energy - wonderful !
healing- very unusual to feel so great
Vibes!!! Sorry yoga classes aren’t running
Due to pandemic- but strong yoga vibe
Anyway. Found keys a bit difficult to use-
But did get hang of them by 2nd day.
The TV was unusable for me- because it
Required subscriptions to various accounts.
I would have preferred regular TV that was
Free and just worked when you turned it
On with plenty of channel options.
Overall a very good experience.

Loved having lots of space and 3 beds was key for us - couldn't find that in another hotel.
I was a little unsure about how it would work with the late self check-in but all worked out fine.

The Sanctuary NYC Retreat was communicative, hospitable and lovely. Every time I walked in the front door I was hit by calming energy that let me unwind and move forward with a more peaceful sense about me. The kitchenette is something I wasn't expecting and will be sure to use the next time I stay here in April. My spot even had a very lovely outdoor patio. Water pressure and heat was also great in the shower. The tv easily connected to my Roku account and all my content was ready to pick up where I left off. No local cable so don't expect it.
There is nothing I would have improved. All of my expectations were met or exceeded during my stay.
