The included breakfast was delicious. There were plenty of options. The pool and hot tub were clean. The rooms were all clean and updated/modern but all the common areas had Hotel California vibes.
The staff was nonexistent. I couldn’t find anyone when having a question about breakfast or when checking out.

Needs work. There is duct tape holding the mirror in the elevator together and several other cosmetic issues needing addressed.

. The location
There is a lot of work needed to make the hotel comfortable. Only one out of 3 elevators worked. No racks to hang towels. No holder for toilet paper etc. Attention to details was lacking
Could be an outstanding hotel but would take more work and investment

The room was great. The air worked well, and the room was quiet, clean, and comfy.
The TV was not hooked up, and there was no controller. The toilet was so low that I needed assistance to get off it. When we checked out, we were disappointed to not get breakfast ( the main reason we booked this hotel) because it didn't open until 7. We thought it was open at 6.

BEAUTIFUL BATHROOM
VERY nice staff
Yummy breakfast
Close to a lot of things
Cute decorations in the lobby
3 dinky pillows and a questionably washed sheet.
There are crackheads I think.
Disclaimer: not sure if they are true crackheads I think they are just true Bloomington people
Bring your own blanket and you are fine !!
I’m staying again so the benefits outweigh downsides.

Location was fine
Beds were uncomfortable, bedding was not very good looked dingy. Air-conditioning was poor at best looked to be from the 70s, put out little air not comfortable temperatures at all in the room.

Easy to access location, nice pool area, over all "chateau" astatic was a nice design choose. Staff was always helpful. Room was updated and generally nice and clean. Smart TV in room. Breakfast was better than most.
Over all appearance shows the age of the building. Ill fitting doors; alignment issues, cracked/broken glass in the leaded glass doors taped over to stabilize them. Bathroom door wouldn't close due to apparent settling and shifting of the building (common with age). Sun faded front doors, front entryway wood, poor quality restaining on the wood with stain over applied onto the wall. Interior wood panelling feels old, like it needs a good refinish. Making things just feel a bit tired.
Many small examples of wear and tear not being repaired, or repair being completed. Noticed a number of small to medium surface cracks in the plaster, some had been patched, some not, some partly but not finished. All showing various signs of not being a "fresh" repair. A number of corner edge protectors; ones used to protect the plaster/drywall, were missing and showing the damaged wall behind them. A few of the wall mount light fixtures showed sights of maybe being replaced, or updated, but the wall behind parts of them wasn't patched making them look not so nice.
Room has no side table power options for charging devices, and is kinda sparse on outlets, probably due to building age.
"Remodelled" bath room had the biggest issue. Bathroom door wouldn't close all the way due to the old metal doorjamb having shifted over time, bathroom remodel was nice but problematic. Not towel hangers at all. Shower stall was half open, splashing a lot of water out of the shower. Stall looks like it was supposed to have a glass door, trim looks like it didn't get installed. Tile wall work was a bit hit or miss, some areas were well grouted, others had none(very few but...). Floor tiles, 2in hexagons, were not fully even with each other leading to a "low"spot. Grout lines weren't sealed. Shower surround was pulling away from small parts of the wall, showing very visible gapes.

Location was very accessible and employees were friendly
We've stayed there several times in the last year and only one "slow" elevator has been in operation for such a large hotel. There was no closet to hang clothes even though the room was large and could have easily accommodated one. Breakfast was ok but couldn't find salt/pepper or napkins and the few tables were occupied. Our bathroom was nice but toilet wobbled.

Breakfast was very good! Room was clean and comfortable!
The Chateau is an older facility that needs some upgrading! But I like old stuff, so be careful how you improve the facility. You could replace the carpeting, make the elevators more appealing/modern, and put a TV somewhere in the lobby. Think about how you could retain the old feel of the Chateau while improving it to appeal to the modern-day costumer.

very clean
Television didn’t work. hotel was so massive it didn’t have a welcoming atmosphere.

close to everything and we were able to have conjoined rooms.
Out dated, room smelled like smoke, and was not suitable for disabled. You can only use stairs to get to the dining area for breakfast. Bathroom wasn't the cleanest nor did the phone work. The tv didn't work either but after an hour I was able to get it working. Also only 3 small pillows per bed.

The breakfast was excellent and the location was great. It felt like you you were out of the town but actually right around the corner.
The only thing I didn't like was that I didn't have more time to spend there and enjoy the beautiful indoor pool, hot tub, and gym.

The hotel itself was absolutely beautiful... absolutely loved the antique furniture
The showers should really have doors and the blankets were extremely thin... also the scramble eggs had so much butter they made us all sick

The drive in front of the hotel was terrible.

The breakfast was good, the pool and hot tub were the highlight for my 6 and 9 year olds.
The hot tub was open but we couldnt use it for a while as they were doing some maintenance on it during use hours and my kids were sad then.

appealing. Beautiful decor. Comfortable room
The heating in room 301 seemed variable. it would get comfortable and warm and then the air would start to blow real cool for a while. It was kind of a noisy heater. but it did not keep us awake and we slept quite well

Easy check in process.
Shower didn't work unless you only used hot water and the room was not very clean.
