Room and breakfast

The towels were soft and since we were traveling with food for a family get together, the large refrigerator was nice.
The woodwork was dirty, there was dirt in the bottom of the shower, there is no "grab and go" breakfast as advertised on their web listing. Was very disappointing for the money charged.

Stare was genuinely courteous
The fat that I was passing through and could not get enough rest because of timing

The proximity to restaurants and stores
The bed could have been a little more comfortable other than that it was good stay. I would still recommend. Thanks. All I have to say. Oh and easy access off and on 95.

The location right off I-95.
Very disappointing...from the sullen receptionist to the very odd room smell to splattered paint jobs and a feeling of the room being not so clean. There was no breakfast as advertised.

The rooms seem like drug users and women who is selling their sex stay there.

Location. Easy access to my room
Shower was disgusting. I had to clean it again to my standards. My first assigned room was filled with flies & had dirty sheets.

Staff was friendly. The bed was comfortable.
It was just off the interstate.
Very dirty floors. It hadn’t been mopped in some time. Gritty and dust all over the floors. Our feet where black. We had to ware shoe in side the whole time.

Didn’t get breakfast
Cleanliness!!!!
2.5
It was adequate for my needs. I spent one night at the facility in conjunction with a fishing trip.
The downside was we didn’t get a wake up call that we requested and they don’t serve breakfast.
If you’re not real picky and just need a place to spend the night it’s adequate.
Nothing jumped out at me to make an over the recommendation.
It was fairly clean and cheaper than most of the other sites in Santee.

Close proximity to the highway. Staff was polite, even though fairly incompetent. Cost low, but not low enough for the level of sleaze and actual grime at this place. There was outdoor parking right in front of the rooms and no hallways, which I prefer during the pandemic. There were multiple easily accessible ice machines. That was the best feature of this absolute dive. The accessibility of the ice machines. Let that sink in and don't book a room here.
The area is not safe and the conditions at the motel itself are disgusng. There was an open air drug market on one side with many cars and people in and out all night. Then was woken at 6am by a shrieking puppy on the other side of the room. Sounded like a human baby was being tortured. Multiple other guests were up and out in the hallway discussing whether to call animal control or 911. Called the front desk and that employee was very slow to respond and quite unhelpful. Asked politely to speak with a manager and am still waiting for any response. The animal in distress was extremely disruptive and upsetting to multiple guests.
The power was flickering so badly I didn't dare try to charge my phone, and the bed felt like sleeping on a hay bail - scratchy and hideously uncomfortable. It was also the only piece of furniture in the room that wasn't built onto the wall like a jail cell.
The surfaces in the room were sticky, there were hairs on the floors and in the bathroom, minimal towels, no toiletries were provided at all, it was as if housekeeping left halfway through the job. Had no choice but to clean it myself. What did I pay for?!?
Literally go anywhere else and you will regret it less than paying any $ at all to stay here. I would have felt safer sleeping in my vehicle.
Needless to say, you don't want any extra issues while traveling. So steer clear of the Econo Lodge in Santee. Terrible experience all around.
1.5
The location, close to restaurants and the highway
Very bad the attention of the staff, the lady appreciates with anger. When the bed was unmade, the sheet and blanket were dirty, hairy and smeared with dirt. The toilet was dirty, with hairs, the mirrors dirty, the nightstand dirty, the room smelled like cigarettes, the coffee maker did not work
