Cheap hotel that delivers by not being dirty or uncomfortable.

The mattress was very good (and covered with several layers to ensure cleanliness), so we slept well. The cost and value was our big variable, so we ended up in this place--cheap. And for what we paid, we got more than we expected. Clean, simple. Everything worked fine, including the hot water in the shower. So it got the job done.

The breakfast was simple and low-quality (the yogurt, the breakfast cereals, the waffle mix). Bad coffee, too. At least the bananas were good. And you're in an area with many fast food places (McDonalds, Wendy's) and Perkins for alternatives, so that wasn't a problem for us. There used to be a swimming pool but although the sign says it is just closed for inspection, the amount of stuff stored in the swimming area suggests otherwise. Although we got a no-smoking room, the overall hotel smells like there's been some smoking in the building.

Cheap and comfortable stay.

Recently renovated, clean, nice bed.

Didn't have a door chain or secondary lock. But there was a rubber door stop to block the door. That was a little cheesy.

Top notch for the price

Got in super late. TP was there to let us in and was helpful and very nice despite it being 1am. Would stay 1000x again.

Hotels and buildings around this hotel are a little sketch, but this hotel is in good condition and appeared to be newly remodeled. Was nice for what little time we spent there.

The area in which it's located. Was a little nervous what we getting ourselves into, but turned out to be a good hotel and it was comforting to see the cameras they had on the parking lot, etc.

If travelers want an excellent bargain with a good night's sleep at a clean, quiet motel, stay here!

I was quite surprised with my experience here. I had thought I was reserving at another motel. When I got to this facility, I thought, "Oh no! I made a mistake. What am I in for now?" What I discovered was a friendly, helpful, courteous man at the reception desk. He offered to let me inspect the room and then even offered me a more quiet location. It was clean, neat, quiet, with an excellent bed, great shower, adequate towels, all I could have asked for. The bonus was the price, a full $50 under the motel at which I thought I had reserved! Yeah! KY Guy

The breakfast was very modest, but certainly no deal breaker. The overall positive experience more than compensated for a modest breakfast.

Breakfast really not what expected. Dissatisfied. The joining room was the only good thing with family!

The discrepancy between American Inn and Americaninn is very misleading. I booked first with American Inn , then turned around a minute later booked American Inn for my sister. I arrived from Des Moines to Cedar Rapids with my family for church in 1 vehicle thinking we’re at the same American Inn to my shock 2 totally different locations . I needed us to all be together, he would not cancel me, because it was already booked up. While talking to him at the other location he pushed the payment through said it was too late to cancel. He wanted to argue, I was trying to tell him it was a honest mistake, I’m not from Cedar Rapids!!!!! He would not cancel. The other Americaninn was gracious enough to have mercy cancel my sister with full refund so we could all stay together! It was my birthday as well! The hotel manager wanted to continue to conversate but not accommodate the more he talked the more the tears came, so I felt like no body cared, tried to call booking.con help no answer for an hour! No help😭😭😭😭😭 Room 205 smelled like some urinated in the bath tub! The smell came from the shower curtain, not very sanitary. I did not want another encounter with the manager. I had to pray calm down and get ready for church . I had to forgive, let it go go and shift my focus!!!
