Ok place to stay but no more free cruise parking

Nice room. Nothing fancy for breakfast. Packaged rolls and coffee mainly.

My main complaint was that when I reserved the room, cruise parking was supposed to be free for one week. However upon arrival I was informed that the practice had been discontinued. I was not notified of this change until I was in the front office. The only good thing was that the attendant told me about the cruise parking business just across the street. Therefore I booked a spot for $16 per day which I should not have to have paid. I had even called the motel when I made the reservation to confirm the free parking. I was assured that it was included in my room rent. That was not correct.

The location was convenient and the rooms were clean.

The location was close to the beach. There’s a gas station next to the property, restaurant and Walmart are about 2 miles away.

There was not a pool for the kids.

How close it is to UTMB where I go to Dr.

There isn't enough plugs within reach of the bed for 2 phones and 2 tablets. The ones in the night stand table between the beds do not work

Price compared to other hotels in the area,and the breakfast was good !

I was told it was within walking distance to the beach and it was like 15 minutes in car to the beach,there was no swimming pool,washer in laundry room was broken,(the one time l needed one) for some reason they put me in a smoking room without asking me if it was ok,so when l got there,l asked for a none smoking room for l don't smoke and don't want to be around people that smokes,and they charged me $15 dollars more for a none smoking room,l would have think that a smoking room it's more expensive since your damaging the property and environment than a none smoking room anyways.

No frills but certainly adequate for a short term stay. Great for the night before or after a cruise

The location is not near the beach but we were not there for the beach or the crowds on a holiday weekend. The room was clean and had everything you could need. We did not try the breakfast. We had two comfortable queen beds and three pillows on each bed. Air conditioning worked great. The sink faucet were brand new.There are outlets in the night stand to charge your electronics. Counter staff were friendly and helpful. The location is easy in and easy out with direct access to IH45. Price was reasonable.

Some of the metal surfaces in the room (clothes closet rack) were rusted, but this is typical for a waterfront location. There is a train track that runs right behind the motel. I did faintly hear the train a couple of times during the night but I quickly went back to sleep. The train was not exceptionally loud.

disappointed with policy change on cruise parking cost.

when I booked said we got free cruise parking. April 1st policy was changed and charged us $60 for 6 nights without notice of this change.

Weekend stay

It's in a new area to where a lot of restaurants can deliver to your room. I had a problem about one of my rooms and Todd Overstreet took care of the problem and gave me a better solution on the room.

The only thing I didn't like is the toilet is too close to the ground but other than that I had a good time.

Exceptional

The gentleman at the front desk was super nice and helpful. We asked for a late check out and they gave us an extra hour.

We thought it was by the beach but it was not. Not their mistake ours. Only thing that did bother me was all the stores within walking distance closed at even though they claim to be open all night.

not worth $200 A NIGHT

nothing really caught my attention positively

it was unclean. the beds may have been made but the floors were not swept and it stunk in the room. the door didn’t close all the way so you could constantly see sunlight and rust in every corner from rot. also forgot about the black mold above the a/c
