I love that this very historical hotel located right on Main st. in the Fort Worth stockyards It has so much character & charm, & is so warm & cozy too! It's very refreshing from the modern hotels we are used to stayingI at. I love the grand staircase in the lobby when you enter!, Its like out of an old western movie! The location is so perfect! Right across from a wonderful western style boutique called The Maverick; I love this store! it has both ladies & mens apparel, lots of fancy cowboy boots, interesting home goods, art & a huge bar! There is also a cattle drive on this street every day I believe; lots of fun bars a restaurants nearby, all within walking distance too! We were considering staying at the infamous newer Drover Hotel near by; We chose This hotel because it was about half the price, + I just really wanted to try this old landmark hotel, & we are so glad we did! It fit all of our needs; I like this location because you are right in the middle of everything! Our room was great! I loved the lace curtains & the window that looked out over Main st. I love the grand hallways & sitting area outside our room. I also enjoyed taking the stairs to our room & not an elevator. (we were on the second floor) I also LOVE the bar & restaurant connected to this hotel! You can sit in saddles at the bar and sip your favorite cold beverage! & they have the BEST chicken fried steak ever!
Thanks to Booking.com for giving me reward points from our recent travels (that were about to expire). I used these points towards our stay at The Stockyard Hotel!
The bath/shower could use some professional sprucing up. It looked like a handy man had attempted to do it. But this was not a deal breaker. 1 or both of the sofas in the lobby needs replacing. But I love that style! they have just seen their better days!

the cattle baron suite was fantastic
the room was great, staff was very nice. Restaurant had issues with a vent or some thing so we did not go.

The location was great close to everything down in the Stockyards. A lot of nice restaurants and saloons were all within walking distance. Easy access from the I35.
We liked everything!

Old fashioned living up to the period it was representing
Was right next to the Main Street so loud exhaust and bikes at 03:00 were annoying.

Location! Front Desk Staff were great! Great Historic Building!
Remote was dead. Had to go downstairs to get batteries. They had to change our shower curtain because there was mold all over the bottom of it. Front desk made sure it got changed. Tv didn't work. When they got it fixed, we still couldn't get many channels. It kept saying No Signal. Shower didn't work well.

We enjoyed everything from dropping our car off with valet parking to the close proximity of fun and a quiet and comfortable room. The holiday charm in the lobby was nice and the bar fun even though it closed at 10 which we thought was a bit early given that we had just left the rodeo and needed a quick bite. Overall a quiet and comfortable room.
We would have liked a fridge and even some creamer for the coffee. The coffee machine was great if you like black coffee but we used the hotel minibar M&Ms to make it mocha. For the value, I would have thought these amenities and tea would have been in the room. Still - a fun place with charm close to all the activities.

We checked in for the first day for our anniversary trip. No one mentioned there was no hot water for 2 days. Then at 6:30 while sleeping the water turned on and off while the noise were turned off. We had to call down to front desk, the clerk didn't believe me. He came up saw for himself and had to turn our water off completely in our sink, with no answers. 2 days with no hot water, very disappointed.
No HOT WATER and they were in no hurry to get it fixed.

First time in town. Perfect location to walking the area, food, music, shops steps away. Restaurant was great for dinner and breakfast, I didn't eat lunch there. Staff was very helpful. I had a pickup and trailer and they had parking for it, they even offered to valet it.
A bigger shower? I'm a big guy.

Our room was on the street and was SO LOUD with people talking very loud, yelling, cars racing and gunning their engines and honking their horns. We couldn’t sleep until after 3 am~ never again.

Location and staff with the exception of one of the valets..He was rude, didn't hold door open, help with luggage and he changed the radio in our vehicle to what i am guessing was his choice (rap)
The valet mentioned above..
I get this is a historic hotel but historic should not be an excuse for not maintained. Cracked tile floors, gross shower tile, drywall repairs not finished.
