The staff and mgmt were wonderful and all the issues were related to the renovation

It’s a beautiful property but they were renovating and is caused some issues

Just inconvenient when no elevator. No microwave. No trashcan (but they did bring one)

Nice hotel perfect location staff was very friendly breakfast was good

The property is under renovation, so I think it’ll be a lot better once they finish. We heard no noise during the construction process. That was definitely a plus.

The pool was great. The rooms were nice and clean. Breakfast was great. Location was perfect. Definitely would stay again.

The showers need a nonslip mat in them. When they are wet they are very slippery.

I will return. The room was very cool, nice pool area and very well maintain landscape.

The staff was very friendly to me. I enjoyed my visit. The hotel was located very close to Grocery store, shopping centers restaurants, Airport, new laundry mat, car wash, all you need and more for long stays.

Add a larger guest cart. (Bellman cart), with top hanging rack. Touch up in certain areas, paint and woodwork. I'm being Constructive, helpful and not negative.

Amazing Trip

The location was great and the staff was very friendly and courteous. We loved the swimming pool and hot tub. The breakfast was good however need to see about adding a little more to the breakfast menu example biscuits, gravy and bacon. Also we really enjoyed all of the Amenities however need to have propane for the fire pit. Thank you staff for a wonderful experience.

What I DIDN'T LIKe - The staff were not trained on procedures for 3rd party bookings - they did not inform me when I checking in that I had to contact booking to cancel the second night reservation. I would have done so when I checked in. When I checked in I was told a credit was going on my CC but was not told an amount! There was no credit received. So I paid for 2 nights but checked out after one thinking I was refunded ! Also after I checked in the receptionist found me in the hallway after to sign a paper which had no account info regarding my refund it was blank- she said the manager would explain it the next day !

We didn't realize it was pet friendly. Barking dogs kept us awake most of the night. When we said something to an employee the next day, she didn't seem to care at all. A young man brought his large dog in to the breakfast area during breakfast hours. 🙁

Putting the PLUS in Best Western Plus

We were greatly impressed by the wonderful friendly staff and the general welcome feeling of the hotel. We had a medical emergency, and the response and caring assistance we received were top notch - such a blessing! We are grateful to everyone who came to our aid and showed extra consideration to our party after returning from the hospital ER. As for the hotel itself, its setting in Plantation Village was just beautiful and peaceful. St. Simons Island is well worth the detour off I-95! Our rooms were immaculate and despite the temperature, we were able to make use of the hot tub, which was a welcome relief for weary travelers. The breakfast room was on another level as far as style, comfort and ease of use. It was a little haven on our road trip and we'll definitely be back!

The perfect place to stay on the island!

I visited in the winter so I liked coming back from the beach and going in the outdoor hot tub each evening. The outdoor area is a nice setup for relaxing and in a quiet area while still being central to everything on the island. The pet fee was reasonable and they have a outdoor pet area. I was able to do my laundry at the hotel nextdoor because it's the same owners. There was always someone at the front desk that was friendly and helpful. All the staff I interacted with were welcoming. Everything about the room was great - bed, furniture, bathroom - they were all clean and comfortable. They offer the standard breakfast of scrambled eggs and a meat, waffles, yogurt, cereal, muffins. I liked that coffee and tea and hot chocolate was available 24/7.

They could include a list of channels for the TV in the room because I couldn't find the guide. A heated pool for the winter would make it even better. They could use a better coffee brand because I found theirs not strong enough. Also I was looking for herbal tea but all the teas were caffeinated.

The hotel seemed to be newly renovated and had a nice pool.

The shower had a dip in it where it didn't drain all the way and had residue in the bottom. My son was playing in the room and found a bottle of dip spit that wasn't ours by the bed. But to me the worst part was two weeks before I canceled one day of our trip through booking received confirmation that my day was canceled and was given an updated balance changing our bill from $551 to $286. On our last night My wife checked our account and we had $551 pending I went to the front desk and the lady was very nice and told me she normally doesn't work the front desk and told me it would be better to come back in the morning. The next morning I went down and explained my issue to the woman at the front desk was told I'd have to go through booking to fix any issues with my payment it went through them and said she couldn't even pull up my booking to see what I was charged. Booking is now looking into fixing it. Went to check out and the woman at the front desk (after she looked up from texting on her phone while I was standing there) says it shows here that you are supposed to be checking out tomorrow (I thought you couldn't pull my booking up hmmm) so she called her manager who was at the facility and never even came to assist the situation even though they had already talked about the matter and she made it seem like I canceled the night while I was there but still never saw the manager which is insane I see where the employees get their customer service they should all take notes from the woman who was running the breakfast bar on how to treat someone. Needless to say I'm out $265 for the time being until booking.com does whatever they have to do to get my money back all while I was treated like I didn't matter and they didn't care if I was out money or not.
