Clean, budget stay with pretty views

The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The view from the room was amazing - right over the dam. Staff was kind and helpful.

Breakfast was only so-so, and was being brought out only a few items at a time, so there were a lot of people waiting in a very small space. We ended up leaving and eating at a local restaurant (The Riv - really yummy!). instead. Our room door had trouble opening with the key card and required the desk clerk to come open it. The shower was small. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay.

It was an Ok stay.

The room had a very heavy smell of disinfectant. The bed seemed quite short, I'm only 5' 8" and my toes touched the end of the bed (a bit uncomfortable to sleep in).

The staff and the sunset view of the river added to the comfort of my peaceful overnight stay.

Great staff at front office, very friendly. Great view from my room Even better view in lobby where breakfast is served, nice cold breakfast

Bathroom fan not working, no separate soap for shower, no overhead light in room, just lamps in 2 corners and one by bed

Unique, locally-owned motel with great character. It’s obvious the place is loved.

Wonderful welcome at check in. Great hot breakfast eaten on plates with real silverware- no styrofoam and plastic. Lovely room. Parking spot right in front of my room.

Cello Inn is comfortable and welcoming. The view of the river is beautiful.

Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Rooms are comfortable, extremely clean and quiet. We enjoyed free upgrade of our room on two separate occasions because the motel wasn't busy on those occasions. Appreciated this very much! We like this motel very much!

On one occasion when arriving to our room for the first night of our stay, the room was extremely cold. The heat was set very low and it was a very cold night. It took a long time to warm up to a comfortable temperature.

Great view!

Breakfast was good - love those cinnamon rolls! View was spectacular. Room very comfortable.

Shower 1st nite was not very hot... And the $25 daily fee for our dog (who's really well-behaved) seemed a bit excessive. But guess there are some puppies who are more rambunctious, and you can't discriminate.

A relaxing respite from the road.

The view was excellent. The room was very clean, comfortable, and beautiful. The staff were very friendly. The pool was clean and well stocked with towels.

Exceeed expectations adn we will make this our go toplace when in The Dalles.

The rooms are very nice and clean. They were recently remodeled to a very high standard, much much nicer than we expected for the price.

The TV needs to be much higher on the wall. It's almost impossible to watch while laying in bed.

Perfect Bliss

We absolutely love this motel!! We have stayed two times now the view is spectacular the breakfast amazing!! It is quiet and out of the way we will be back.

The view of the city and the Columbia was awesome, from every place in the complex and our room view was fabulous!!! The room was very comfortable and the front desk was sooooooo nice !!!!

Lovely place to stay

Lovely location with an amazing view of the Columbia River and The Dalles dam. The staff were always pleasant and more than willing to answer any questions we had. We had an excellent 2 nights and a super comfy room. Thank you, hopefully we will be able to visit the area again and of course stay with you.

Grateful for great deal from Booking. Recommend this motel.

Excellent view of Columbia gorge. Room was very clean and it’s location was quiet(rm #31). Staff was efficient and helpful with suggestions. Good water pressure for shower and we both slept well in bed. Excellent pricing.

Only negative for us was heat/ac unit was noisy. Not excessive and possibly normal, but noisy. We both use effective ear plugs, so we slept fine, but without it could have been an issue.

It was as expected after reading other reviews. Staff were friendly but didn’t give us the wifi password at check in, I had to call and ask for it.
