I was very disappointed, I expected more since I have stayed in Hampton properties on many occasions

The bed was comfortable. The location was fine because it was easy for my son to pick me up.

The pillows were too hard. The noise level was bad, you could hear doors closing, people talking in the hallway and walking around in the room above me. Check in was not exactly friendly. It would have been nice to have been offered a bottle of water at the front desk since none was in the room. Since there's no breakfast, as in Hampton Inn and Suites, a muffin or a piece of fruit would be most welcome. Finally, the position of the TV was poor, it was too high up the wall.

I was a little unsure after reading reviews but this place was great!

The bed was SO comfortable, the shower/bathroom was huge and so was the room in general. The location was located perfectly for our reason for stay. Shanna and her staff were amazing and when I asked about additional parking (previous reviews mentioned the small parking garage) and she gave us a card for the city parking garage next to the facility. Parking was 12$ which I didn't think was too bad. Overall our stay exceeded my expectations considering some of the negative reviews I had read prior to our stay. We attended a show at the Metropolitan, which was literally around the block. Close to the bars and a few restaurants which was perfect for after the show. Definitely will stay again next time I'm in Morgantown!

The only issue we ran into was the hot/cold nozzle was backwards in our shower, but no biggie we figured it out and it was the hottest hotel shower I think I've ever taken.

I paid for a larger room and king bed but was told they don’t have kings beds so I was giving the smaller room with double beds.

Clean and convenient but Disappointing

It was very close to the bars and student Union location. Bed was comfortable and room was clean

The pictures on here aren't accurate. The Junior Suite's bathroom doesn't have a spa tub, and it's very small. I was disappointed when I arrived. The elevator was SKETCHY. It sounded like it was falling apart when you walked in. The parking was horrible. I have a small car and it was so tight coming and going. DO NOT drive a big truck here because the overflow truck parking is also awful.

Good, spacious room and excellent location and very friendly staff.

Spacious rooms, very close to WVU downtown and all the action.

Being in the city the drawback was that noise from outside revelers could be heard late night, so a high floor is recommended.

We were visiting WVU and enjoyed the property close proximity to campus and restaurants. Ideal for our campus visit.

The hotel was very clean and the staff was excellent. The room was nice sized and super clean. Breakfast was great!!

It is a little pricey. I know you get what you pay for, but I have stayed at other places that were a bit cheaper and still offered the same quality.

'l will be back, for sure.

Location is great for our Maryland trips. Good restaurant selection, easy interstate access. Rooms are a good size. would like to see microwave, but not a show stopper. Have stayed several times now and will continue to use the Scholar on my Maryland runs.

Will save thoughts as it's apparent upgrades are still taking place. The common area would be better served if there was someone tending the bar area for drinks or coffee.

Could’ve been better, could’ve been worse.

Visually appealing and good location.

Sound. Could here the people above us running around their room and fighting in the very early hours of the morning on multiple occasions. Woke our baby.

When we booked, the website said no pets. A dog has been barking incessantly since yesterday, keeping us up. We spoke to the front desk who informed is dogs are allowed. We are paying a dog sitter for our dog or would have brought him. When I called about the dog again today, I was told they would try to find the dog & talk to the people, but there is nothing they can do. The man I spoke to was rude. what a shame the staff allows someone’s dog to ruin our stay. I’m so mad I paid for this and a dog sitter, based on misinformation on Booking.com & Scholarly’s websites.

Disappointing

It was very convenient if you were doing things downtown. It was also only 5 minutes from our daughter's apartment which was nice.

It was confusing getting into the place because it was on a one way street and you could actually turn into the garage before you did your check in which we did not know. I had to wait around for a staff member before I could check in. There were stains on the bed sheets. The jetted hot tub in our room was dirty. It also came out too fast which got all over the floor and there was no way to turn it down as the control did not work. The water pressure in the shower was very low. The mattresses seemed very old. They were so soft you literally sank into the bed which is not good for someone with a bed back. The television did not work and I had to literally reset the entire system to get it on. Overall, a big disappointment. There were no curtains No, only screens. Not good if you like it dark.
