Our room was clean as it could be. Staff was very nice
Curtains in our room were old and torn. Looked like someone had ran over one and left black tire tracks. Couch and chair were old and dirty. Pool was very cold. Hot tub was drained and dirty. Pool supplies were at n the sauna so unable to use. They were remodeling. Expected perhaps a discount or at least coupons for dinner places. Breakfast was not good. Out of milk and butter. No eggs. Felt bad for staff. Management should be doing a better job of accommodating

The location was good and it was nice to have shuttle service to bentllyville
We were supposed to have a king suite and upon checking in we found out the room was not available and we were put right next door to a banquet:meeting room it was very loud until 930-1000

Absolutely nothing
We checked in around 3pm and the lady at the counter said that she wasn’t sure if our room was cleaned yet, which I thought was odd since check in is at 3pm. So we drove up to Grand Marais to visit with some of my husband’s family. We got back to the hotel around 11pm that evening…7 hours after check in….and we went up to our room and it still had not been cleaned! The beds were a mess, the TV was on, the bathroom had garbage in the trash and there was a towel on the floor.

The ambiance ot was cute and quaint
They charged us at checkin instead of check out. I reserved the room with my debit card. My sister was going to pay so I changed the card online to hers, but since they charged us at check in the payment was still made from my card and now I have to wait for the reversed charge.

Location and hot breakfast were awesome.
Hot tub was closed for maintenance. Pool was open, but was cloudy with little green pieces of something floating in the water. We did not swim.

Room wasn’t ready when we checked in at 5pm, they kept saying they would come finish cleaning it but never did. Ended up just asking for clean bedding to make it ourselves. Room next to us was filthy with someone’s belongings and beer cans when those people checked in at same time as us.

I though the room was great and the front desk staff was super friendly!
I was pretty sad when the jets in our tub didn't work, even after following all of the instructions on the wall. I was disappointed just because we did pick that room for the spa bath. And the next morning, my partner and I were still in our room getting ready to leave and check out (it was around 10:15am), and there was a knock on the door. I hadn't gotten the chance to get to the door before before a key was being used and an employee entered the room, I am assuming to start cleaning, even though it wasn't after 11am.

Room was spacious
Ground floor, people and staff had table and chairs outside our room to smoke at all times of day and night. Train track too close and very noisy. Room needs a massive update!

The king suite was a pretty big room. We didn't need all the space, but it was the only room still available for our dates. There also were enough parking spots for cars all around the hotel. The hotel itself had a nice vibe.
The room still had spots on the walls and was beside a railway, so you could hear trains pass by very loudly in the middle of the night. There are only about 8 tables in the breakfast area, so if the hotel is a little full, there won't be a spot for you to eat breakfast. The assortment of the breakfast choices is also minimal and the area is also quite dirty later in the morning. The swimming pool was broken during our stay, so we couldn't try this out as well.

The room was disgusting! Dirty furniture I wouldn’t even sit on it! Bed was ok…hopefully they renovate soon!
