The Bivvi is an awesome place to stay. It is clean, comfortable and staff were very nice. Location is great! The grab and go breakfast in the morning was awesome too.!
The pillows were lumpy.

Drunk guest was extremely disturbing and they have placed additional charges on my credit card

It was clean. The bed itself was comfortable. The dorm was quiet after lights out.
The parking lot looked like it hadn't been plowed all winter, same for the sidewalks. The snow was indented in some parking spots, with the car sitting down in a depression in the unplowed snow. Dangerous getting out the car. The snow on the sidewalk was slightly mounded, also making it slippery to walk on carrying luggage.
The beds were comfortable, but I was in a bunk bed, that was slow low between the bottom of the top bed and the mattress, that I got claustrophobic. It was very hot and stuffy in the dorms. They are way understaffed, with only one person available for guest needs. I stayed two weeks back-to-back. The first stay the light in my bunk didn't work. The staff asked me to go get the light bulb, so he would know what kind to get. When told I couldn't open the light fixture, he said he would fix it while I went out for dinner. He didn't. I also had to wait about 10 minutes when I arrived to check in. The next week was slightly better, though the staff member seemed more interested in chatting up quests than serving them.

The Bivvi Hostel was dirty with crusty carpets in the room, which caused a major reaction to my wife allergies.

lots of character. great communal spaces. good breakfast and coffee to start the day.
the room was very warm and the sink is not in the bathroom, which is ok just different. slightly too far to walk home from the slopes.

the decorations and the host guy was amazing

The breakfasts that included eggs were very good.
Happy hour was short ending at 5 pm with the slopes closing at 4 pm. It would be better if it lasted till 6 pm.

Breakfast! Views! TV area, hot tub, fire pit. Nearness to bus stop for free bus into ski resort area. Great restaurants and bars short distance.
Height of bed, kept hitting my head when trying to sit on the bed. Dorm rooms were small for the amount of people

The location was good
This is a hostel. I realized that the people giving the great reviews are people who have been hiking and camping for weeks, so yeah this place is great for them. Our first day breakfast was sausage links and hash browns, we ended up going out for breakfast the entire time we were there.

The room had not been cleaned. Hair in the bed, linens did not look clean.

location, chill vibe, no one there due to Mud Season
poor shower pressure

Location was great. Hostel is very cozy. Russel [front desk agent] was an excellent host. View of the mountains from hostel was breathtaking.
The following are minor issues- Fireplace in main living room was never lit. Hot tub was always busy. It was tricky to temper the water temperature in the shower due to changing pressure of hot/cold water.

Room was pretty nice. It was quiet, comfortable and clean. Good bus service to the slopes and town. One of the two staff members we interacted with was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful; unfortunately other one was the opposite.
The breakfast, which we were eagerly anticipating as it is promoted as being so good, was a big disappointment. The first morning we went into the lounge at 8:00 (breakfast is from 7-9) and there was nothing left! No coffee; one tiny pancake, 3 dried up sausages and a couple pieces of melon. When we asked for more, we were told there were a lot of people early and that was it! The next morning we went earlier and it was slightly better, but hardly what I would call anything special.

Atmosphere is amazing. Beautiful place to stay. Many common areas to meet people and hangout. Restaurants within walking distance. Great experience overall
Bathrooms in each room would be nice.

Stayed here with 2 other friends, & we enjoyed the light, 10 minute walk to reach shops, restaurants, and bars. There is also a bus stop right outside to take you to the mountain. We loved the common areas, friendly people, & free breakfast. Would definitely come back here, even with a larger group to book out one room.
Our only complaint was that the hot tub was not warm enough when we tried to use it, and some of the kitchen ware in the common area wasn't entirely clean. But those are definitely minor drawbacks.
4.5 / 5.0
Bed was comfortable and clean, though the pillow is terribly thin (though folding it over worked well). Common space is somewhat limited but very cozy and cute. Kitchen space is small but has everything you need. Breakfast was good, two hot items changing daily (ex: pancakes and sausage, or eggs and hash browns).
Location isn't ideal. Walkable to main street for a night out, with sidewalks the whole way, but too far to walk to the lift. Have to take the free bus instead. Dorm rooms and lockers are a bit small as well.
