The room was alright for a family room, and the check-in experience was very smooth. Sadly we didn't meet the receptionist but online interaction was very smooth and fast. The area looks a bit dodgy especially around the station, but this is Harlem and those people are minding their business. So, if you are looking into this property, don't listen to those people who caution you about the area and remember it is not far from the metro station. Only three minutes. It was not noisy either. I went for a run to the central park in the morning.
As always the check-in and billing with the hotels in the US is a bit dodgy even through this platform, the hoteliers should work to build trust. Other than that the shared bathroom aspect was a bit unclear about this property, which is not a hotel but a flat turned into guesthouses. Nothing is wrong with that and in fact it worked fine for us.

It was very cozy, clean, and comfortable. I loved that there was a refrigerator, microwave, and television.
The a/c was nice during the hot bawmy weather, and the bed sheets and comforter were crisp and clean. The bathroom was super clean, and the shower was also clean. There is a key lock and chain on the bedroom door, and it feels very safe.
For the price , I felt the stay was great! Easy accessible to transportation, great food,(many vegan options) central park, and a short walk to the world renowned Apollo Theater. The neighborhood is safe and clean, and outside property is well kept.
The receptionist was pleasant and helpful. Check-in went smooth
I loved the stay, highly recommend, and will stay again soon!

Pretty quiet. Bus and train stations where near so you can move yourself without mayor trouble. Everything was clean and neat.
The only thing I didn't like, is that the bathroom and shower is outside the room, but once again, for the price paid? It's not a big deal.

nice room.
beds were way too hard. location isn’t great, some dodgy characters after dark.

The location was not good, the bed for two was full of wires you could barely sleep in, I travel to relax but this location made me regret the trip. 1 shared bathroom for several guests from other rooms is disgusting.

The room was small but clean, the guy at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. I couldn't fault the staff, they answered my emails really quickly and were fabulous.
The shared shower and bathroom facilities were tired and tatty.
The room next to me left the TV on all night and it was really loud and meant I got very little sleep.

I’m hesitant to rave about this place as much as I want to because I’m afraid the next time I travel to NYC it will be booked. The Central Park North really exceeded my expectations, it was a really great stay! I’m not a picky traveler, so I was fully expecting it to just be ‘a bed and a shower’, which would have been fine but man was it comfy. Yes the room is small, you’re in New York City; if you want a large room you’re gonna pay $$$ for it. It was perfect for me, and I loved that the window opened because I tend to run hot and it was nice to be able to get some fresh air in. My room also had a fridge and a microwave, which I’m used to needing to pay extra for, but no it was just included! My favorite part was that it was CLEAN. Again, I’ve been to NYC many times, I know bugs come with the territory, but I didn’t see a single bug during my whole four days. My sheets were clean, my room felt and looked clean, and the shower on my floor was clean as well. Please read the description and note that this facility has shared showers/bathrooms- it’s very obvious in the booking but I’ve still seen people in other reviews being surprised about it so make sure you’re aware if that’s something you don’t like! I personally don’t mind it; I’ve stayed in boarding houses and hostels before and it’s pretty normal and the bathroom on the floor below me was pretty darn big! I really loved the location because it was close to two different subway stations and multiple buses, and it was close enough to the city without being in the thick of it. Lots of good food nearby too! Really enjoyed being walking distance from Central Park as well! All in all I really have no complaints, and I will definitely stay here again!
The radiator in my room had a small leak, not a problem for me but something to keep an eye on! It was freezing cold while I was there so I’m sure it was working overtime to keep me toasty and warm.

1. The staff is very friendly! They let you put your bags at the reception desk while you wait to check-in.
2. Location is great! Easy access to subway stations.
3. Great price for NYC!
Apartment next to room 311 had the volume quite high on their TV at all times of the day.

It was really cold. Therefore my appreciation for this hotel was not that high
The lack of a proper heating system
