Too many steps for room F3C. Although we had no real trouble, others were having considerable problems

The visit was good value, but the three floor walkup was a challenge for one of our guests. Because of the hotel's location it was important to enjoy the evening meal and breakfast there. The evening meal offered no family-friendly options. It was delicious, but specialized
The three floor walk up to the room and the fact that there was not even brewed coffee available at breakfast.

Joann at reception ruined the entire stay with how rude she was

The staff was outstanding. They made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. Joan at the front desk was super helpful and Nina the bartender in 1910 was a pleasure.
The suite was large and comfortable for our group. The only item would be a second bathroom but that is a big ask.

Location and scenery were excellent.
Size of the room was very small, and overpriced for a view of the parking lot instead of the lake. Much of it taken up by a 1980’s kitchen. Door locks were very poor, from out of the 1950’s.

the charm and outdoor look as well as the friendly staff
outdated kitchen , one AC in the room which leaks water inside the Deluxe 1 bedroom; doors were kept open and hallways were full of bugs ; poor outside lighting

The setting is very relaxing, the staff are wonderfully helpful and friendly! Although pricey, the food was fantastic!
The cost of food and beverages was a bit high, but you definitely get what you pay for! You can't walk to town, but the drive is easy.

Lovely location. Well kept property
We left our phone charger behind but John the night manager actually arranged to have it delivered to us at our next destination. All in all a wonderful stay.

My breakfast of Eggs Florentine was delicious and the portion was very generous - my husband's granola was fresh and tasty. The view of the lake and grounds really added to our dining experience. Many thanks to Noah and to Andrew for excellent service.
Nothing.

Property could be awesome, but is dated and lacked the charm I expected for a once prestigious lake front property. There was a refrigerator in the room that constantly whined and kept me awake. Not what I expected which was a completely renovated, beautiful shinny new facility. The check-in area was totally underwhelming. The woman who helped us to purchase a bottle of wine was very warm and friendly, but overall the trip was disappointing.

We loved the hotel and the grounds and the service overall. The staff were all more than accommodating and always available. They even were available to help set up the outdoor heater when our friends and we brought our dinner and wine to the outdoor to eat outside one evening.
Most of the three of us were disappointed in our dinner there. The dining area is lovely; the staff were terrific; and the piano player, in the other room, was quite pleasant. The ambiance was perfect. The food and prices for same, unfortunately, were extremely disappointing. The prices were at least $20 (on average) above those for similar items at the Belhurst Castle nearby, and the food there was far better. Not fabulous but better. My salmon at your place was nearly inedible it was so dry; it was like crispy bacon throughout and actually sort of broke up into cracker-like pieces on eating. Others at the table thought their steaks and other item were fine--not memorable but simply fine. I would have settled for a meal that was edible at least. The prices were incredibly and, seemingly, unnecessarily, high. We had a much better meal overall in town at a restaurant--something like Halsey--where we enjoyed much lower prices, a terrific atmosphere, excellent service, and a varied and fine menu.
Another concern, though minor in some respects, was that the room, while quite serviceable and comfortable, and well stocked with very useful and much appreciated items, was quite dated. Antique and period-piece settings are one thing; old and faded is another. We did appreciate having the kitchen stocked with paper towels, sponges, cleaning items generally, coffee, and the appliances for our in-room breakfasts.
Also, we were not told ahead of time that we'd be on the third floor --we gave out friends the second -floor option because of walking issues--and are fortunate that we don't have walking or other issues ourselves. The stairs are quite steep and would be very difficult for anyone with a mobility concern, even minor one.

Should offer at least minimal breakfast for the fee.

Grounds beautiful, positioned right on the lake. It’s charming and historic. In the style of an Italian villa

The location. It was right on the lake and beautiful from outside.
The townhome we were in was not very clean. There were cobwebs, the furniture and appliances pretty dated and smelly.
The beds were creaky and the mattress was so old that it gave us backache. The carpet was smelly.
Obviously it was not cleaned and maintained very well.
Overall pretty uncomfortable stay.

Beautiful grounds, nice space in the townhouse, gorgeous views of the lake and conveniently locates.
Townhouse had alott of gnats, spiders inside.

The property is very nice and the location is good. The staff was friendly.
For what it cost per night the bed was very stiff and uncomfortable..There was no maid service and the room and restraunt were overpriced for what you get.

A beautiful property on Lake Seneca. It reminds me of the mansion in the Great Gatsby. We had one of the larger rooms. It was really a one bedroom apartment with a great view of the gardens and lake. The location is great if you plan on visiting the wine trail.

It was beautiful. Well maintained. Clean. There were activities on site. The dining room and outside patio were open. The staff was accommodating and friendly.
There wasn’t anything to dislike!

Everything. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The room was spacious and clean. We had a two bedroom suite with one bathroom and it was very clean. The kitchen had a full size refrigerator with freezer and a dishwasher. Keurig coffee pot was provided. We had a king bed and two twins in other room. Living room had a nice couch chairs and TV. I only wish I had more time to spend there.
Nothing. Everyone and everything was incredible.
