We had a cozy room at this really old place, was a fun experience!
It was a bit loud in the morning, but that’s what one has to expect of a property in town center.

No complaints.

This is overall a nice inn. Very reasonable price on a Saturday night. The shower is very nice. It is hot and the water pressure is high. It is one of the best showers I have ever had recently.
This place is not easy to find at night. It is actually called Sticks Coffee. In addition, a faucet knob was partially broken before I came in.

very comfortable room at a great price

First off, Stephanie, the owner was very hospitable. We arrived a day early and she was able to accommodate us and even allowed us to check in earlier since there was no previous guest staying in our assigned room. The room has a nice, clean, vintage appeal as it's the oldest motel in Mariposa which we loved. Though it's an older motel, it has absolutely NO smoke or musty smell to it, which was more than pleasant. The heater worked great and the shower had great pressure. It's equipped with a mini fridge and coffee maker but better yet, there is a coffee shop that seemed to be a local hot spot right at their main building called Sticks Coffee. Guests and customers have nice seating arrangements from inside the shop to a nice patio outdoors with a fire pit that was nice to sit at since it was a bit colder out. Staying Guests also, recieve a discount, I believe 20% off. We absolutely loved our stay and highly recommend it as it's a great value for the price as well.
Not a biggie but it does not have a microwave and I prefer a softer mattress. My husband really loved the firm mattress though.

The gentleman who greeted me when I arrived was most helpful. He got me set up in my room and I was very appreciative. No other hotel staff were present. All went well, so I have no issue with that. Loved having Sticks Cafe on site!
The bed was great, but the pillows! I usually travel with my own, but neglected to pack it. It was a little weird being the only renter on the first night, and one of two on the 2nd. It was quiet, until the 2nd morning when there was roadwork going on just behind me.

Spacious room. Very clean. Staff lady doing laundry was super nice!
The gal in the restaurant across from my room could show some friendlessness to customers so I did not eat there. Went to the Health Food store instead. Also, was a bit worried about being able to park near my room with all the people coming to eat at the cafe across from my room. No signs telling them to park across the street.

Great location in this quaint little town of Mariposa. Fast check in and out. Good coffee shop, Sticks Coffee in the property.

Just that wifi is only available at the lobby, and when visiting from other country being connected from your room is pretty much appreciated. Everything else was perfect!

location close to Yosemite
There is no management onsite. room facilities and plumbing in serious disrepair. room doors in poor condition with cracks in the bottom that could allow bugs or vermin to enter the room. room cleanliness was poor and there was a strong smell of deodorizer as if to try to mask moldy smell. room lacked basic amenities like no microwave so my wife had to use the coffee maker to heat water for her tea. the bed spreadsheets had stains and my wife refused to use them. the shower enclosure was tiny with a poor quality curtain that allowed water to leak out on the floor. hot water flow would come and go making it very uncomfortable to take a shower . the worse part of our stay happened after my wife took a shower and the could shut off the water. I contacted the manager by phone and to her credit she was responsive and moved us to another room which was a little better but not acceptable for a hotel that charges $200 per night. I am a reasonable person who usually overlook minor deficiencies but this hotel needs a lot of upkeep in order to offer the most basic amenities required for a comfortable stay.

It is pretty close to Yosemite valley
The room is dark and out of date. I feel the hotel has not been remodeled for 100 years. The bathroom is so small that you cannot even turn around for your shampoo. The bed is hard and uncomfortable.

Good location - in walking distance to shops and restaurants. Could park your car right at your room - no steps or elevators. Comfortable bed, mini fridge, no microwave but when we asked she did give us a microwave for our room, excellent water pressure when taking a shower, nice soft towels.
No ice machine on property.

Good choice for families. There were 2 beds and a daybed. The coffee shop and outdoor seating right next to the rooms were awesome.
My family had two rooms. Room 5 had a really tiny bathroom with a leaky faucet. It was very outdated and dark. Room 2 had a nice bathroom with more updated furniture. So overall, I would return again. But I would avoid Room 5.

Nice accommodation, room was quite spacious. Opposite to it there is a cafe that serves food and drinks in the morning which is great place to have breakfast.

My partner and myself visited this hotel as a stop for Yosemite. Both of us loved it. It's an old property but with good internal modern standards - which both of us love. The car we were driving developed a problem and we needed to stay an additional night (with our dogs) and the staff was able to do that at short notice. Simply excellent service.
I cannot really fault the property at all. You need to be aware that the town is a little quiet off-season but that is nothing to do with the property.

Location, quaintness,, small overall, nice big room.
TV instructions in room.
