The pool and water view was absolutely stunning!! We used the kajacks to paddle along the beautiful bluffs along the lake. The room was beautiful and cozy and nicely lit. The full breakfast was in a beautiful venue overlooking the water. Recommend Highly and will return !!✨💕

Always like your breakfast.
Had a king deluxe, refrigerator leaked, it was warm in the room, batteries needed replacing, told woman at desk, they were not replaced. The sink is an eyesore and should be replaced. It would be nice to have a desk with mirror in entrance hall, or by closet to put on make up, etc. It would have been nice to have bed made too, but I realize staffing maybe an issue. I do like this lodge!

This stylish midcentury lodge is sophisticated yet gives you access to all the fun of the great outdoors - a private beach for swimming, kayaks, paddle boards, and bikes to use, 4 miles of beautiful hiking trails that are well groomed and well marked, a pool and a hot tub (both outdoors looking at the bay), and gorgeous views of Lake Michigan and the North Bay. They offer a great breakfast buffet (eggs, bacon, pastries, fruit, etc.) and it's served in a huge event room so you can space out from fellow travelers while eating (there's not really a good space by the breakfast area to take your food outside to eat, but I suppose you could if you want to stay totally Covid-safe). There's also a cute bar/restaurant with great (but pricey) food and a few outdoor tables. The bar/restaurant opens at 3pm and is closed Tuesdays. The property has lots of space to hang out on benches or chairs, or to walk around the gorgeously landscaped grounds. There's coffee/tea in the lodge lobby throughout the day. The rooms have a coffee maker and a mini-fridge. No microwave. I don't know what the cabins are like, but the lodge is very nice.
Some staff wore masks, some didn't - since we are still in a pandemic I feel that mask wearing in common indoor spaces is a courtesy. The front desk staff has a large shield between guests and where they sit, so not masking there seems ok, but I think food staff should wear masks indoors when they are serving guests. Also I should say - we stayed in the "Deluxe King" and I think the huge space of this room was unnecessary. It was nice to have a couch, but the other king rooms have two comfy chairs so that's what I've booked for my next visit. Also the "Deluxe King" room (there's only one) is right behind the front desk so there is extra noise there.

The grounds were kept up very nice. View was very nice . We had a very good selection for breakfast.
The room was disappointing. The bathroom was outdated and extremely small. I’m a small person and can’t imagine someone tall or heavy being able to comfortably use the bathroom. Our room also had an odor.

Amazing place!!! We loved the complementary kayaks and paddle boards!
