Great place to Stay in Durham NC

The staff and hotel were great. I believe the hotel is being remodeled. It's beautiful. Staff were very friendly and made us feel welcomed. The view from our room of downtown Durham was great too.

There was nothing we did not like.

2nd stay in 4 weeks. But improvements listed above would be a plus.

Close to DPAC and adjoining restaurant. In room safe.

No glasses actual glass for drinking in rooms. No ice on 6th floor. Better lit hallways to view room numbers.

Great Stay! Clean Room! Wonderful Staff!

Staff was so friendly and helpful. Always said hello when we entered and exited the lobby. Location was excellent! We stayed to go to the DPAC and it was so convenient. Room was very clean, spacious, loved the view! Also, lots of restaurants within walking distance.

Furnishings, carpet need to be updated. There was only one ottoman in front of the sofa (that served as a table) and it was very worn. No table to eat at in room, with all the extra space, it would have been nice to have a small table with two chairs.

Excellent location and super friendly staff!

Excellent location and easy parking. Great area for walking around. The staff was so unbelievably friendly. Can't say enough good things about them.

Breakfast was limited for people with dietary restrictions.

The property was clean and well-maintained.

The booking stated that breakfast was included, but there was no free breakfast. Also, I had requested adjoining or at least neighboring rooms. I was told that adjoining rooms did not exist, but this wasn’t true. The room that we were given did have an adjoining room, but we were not given that room, or even a neighboring room. Our second room was down the hall. Also, the front desk clerk made multiple mistakes when programming our room keys requiring me to make multiple trips back downstairs to get it corrected while my family had to wait in the hall locked out of both our rooms late at night after a long day.

Close to depac

The pool had lots of hair and bugs. A bug guy almost came into our room.and a cleaning lady stopped to see if we checked out so she could clean. Also, I had to ask what time was checked out and was not told when we checked in.

I felt safe, it was clean and in the middle of everything so never had to drive.

Signs about where the pool a s fitness center are would be good and a sheet of what the hotel offers would have been helpful. Also, i had an issue finding the light switches and couldn’t turn on the bathroom light without turning on all lights

Very enjoyable!

Great location near the Durham Performing Arts Center, as well as the baseball stadium. Also near lots of restaurants and bars. Room was spacious and pretty clean.

It was not cheap.

We really enjoyed our stay!

The kind and helpful staff, modern clean feel, close proximity to DPAC, ease of parking.

Complimentary breakfast would have been nice for the price, but otherwise everything was wonderful.

Location can’t be beat

I stay at Alofts all over and this one shows ALOT of wear and tear, looking dated , not cleaned properly, no hand towels, tired mattress, and poor bed linens. For how much business this location brings in, it’s time to reinvest in this property. Next time we come, we will walk a little farther to our venue and pay elsewhere for the ‘basic’ details that guests should receive. I was really disappointed in this location, expected more from the Aloft brand.

location was fantastic and very convenient for our night at DPAC for a show

front desk wasn’t overly friendly -room was adequate but the furnishings had obvious wear and tear and the room didn’t feel super clean. was disappointed with the attitude at check in (felt clinical and rushed) and the room. just not the evening we had hoped for.

All in all it was a good experience. I would stay there again.

We could not get our heat/air regulated. The system ran all day/night and never shut off. It would blow out cold than hot. It didn't matter what we put temperature on. The furniture was outdated, uncomfortable and our ottoman's leather/fabric was torn off

The only hotel bed I have ever slept in that didn't make my back ache! The next door location to DPAC made seeing our show so easy. The staff were very friendly and efficient. It was also helpful to have the shampoo, conditioner and soap provided in the shower.

Would have liked a hot breakfast included for the price.
