Everything was good. It's nice to have the availability of breakfast on site.
The list of restaurants was helpful. Many places were closed. The list needs updated. The train is disturbing especially at 12AM with a blowing horn that seemed unnecessary since there is little traffic at that time of the morning, plus the gates close off any traffic.

Front desk service was Outstanding. The room was way beyond expected. Just excelled in every facet.
Quality way above the price line.

I was attempting a solo drive from Northern Virginia to Florida for the first time and didn't anticipate my knees giving me so much grief that I had to break the trip up into two days instead of one. The Best Western in Florence was perfect for my needs. My room was very comfortable and clean. The thermostat was responsive and quickly adapted things to my comfort level when needed. I used the little coffee maker in the morning before I checked out which was a nice little perk. The Ruby Tuesday right next door was perfect for dinner that night; I just walked right over.
It was my own inattention to detail that resulted in this, but I hadn't noticed the railroad tracks running right in front of the property until about midnight when a big ol' train came through and startled me out of a light sleep...but then I started to enjoy the sound of the cars rumbling by. It's one of my favorite sounds. I unfortunately didn't get out in time to sample the breakfast in the morning, but I'm going to to try and book a room on my way back home on the 11th and will hopefully catch the breakfast then.
As motels go, this one was one of the best I've encountered. I've stayed at many others in the past that had leaking ceilings, questionable plumbing, mold, bugs, etc. This Best Western had none of these. In fact, I'd say my room had everything I've ever had at a 3-star hotel except for room service and maybe an indoor pool which I don't much care about anyway. The room was impeccably clean and the front desk manager was just as friendly as she could possibly be.

Close to I-95, great price.

It was clean.
We were approached twice in the parking lot and asked for money before making it to our room. People slept in their car in the parking lot. People were playing music late which I could hear through my pillow.

They charged us a $200 deposit that we were NOT aware of prior to our visit that will take 7-10 days to be returned.......very disappointed with booking.com for not making us aware of this.

The room was clean, pretty quiet, and comfortable, though the bathroom was quite small. The beds were surprisingly comfortable. Breakfast was good and about what one expects at hotel lobby breakfast bar.
Parking was difficult because of many large utility trucks taking up several slots near my room as well as a BBQ party going on in a corner of the lot. The pool was unusable. I think the trucks were utility crews on their way to repair tornado damage in the region, so inconvenient parking is understandable.

hotel was clean, room comfortable and spacious.
1st) breakfast could have had a much better choice, eg. fresh fruits, regular oatmeal, grits, pastries, pancakes, bacon etc etc. not at all satisfied. 2) I was there 3 nights and not once did someone come into room to clean, make bed and leave fresh towels. I even put up sign to make up room. 3) attitude at front desk was not the the best, you need to put a better reception. 4) we had to leave our room to enter the outside and proceed down side walk back into building to get breakfast. I did not like it. Building was designed that way. Bad.

didnt eat
the room had a weird smell. not really bad but not good at all. the lady at the front desk was rude. she wore a mask and got irritated because we couldnt understand her. made me pay a 30 dollar deposit after i had already paid in full with a credit card which was ok, but i should have been informed when i booked rather than when i got there.

The beds were comfortable, the room was clean and smelled good, the water pressure was superb, and the breakfast was great.
There wasn't anything I didn't like. Everything was great for the money.

location
night clerk was not friendly. was charged a deposit, which I believe was uncalled for due to our age.

Beds, breakfast options, the price, the location
pet fees should be listed online (they were not), floor and carpets could have been cleaner, shabby furniture (table/chair), light bulbs out/not work

location
pancake machine
heat only blew cold and barely warm air. we were so cold. empty tissue box. unhappy looking staff who were begrudging when we asked for something. (except morning girl who was delightful)

The room was comfortable and quiet. The heat/AC system worked well. The bed was a bit soft but comfortable.
There was no working ice machine on the property and when I asked the attendant at the front desk how I could get some ice, no advice was offered. I had to get in my car, drive around and find somewhere to buy a bag of ice, not what I wanted to do after a long day of driving.
