i would definitely come back and maybe ask for specific rooms or areas

my room was a little too close to the road. the floor was very slanted, a little disconcerting. otherwise very very nice! the cozy fireplace was a nice surprise.

there were comparable rooms empty around me but further from the road, it would have been nice to put me in one of those instead

It was extremely expensive, but delivered as promised.

The overall stay was calm, relaxing, and beautiful. The room was clean and upgraded.

The cost of food was 20% higher than expected. But that seemed on par for the area. Everything was more expensive than elsewhere in the country.

It’s not worth it the cost.

Room + view

Customer service before the travel/ lacking of elevator/accessibility/ parking is limited and also the “resort” doesn’t even have cribs for babies.

The view and location…just stunning.

The view and location just can’t be beat! Absolutely Stunning!!

We had booked the last two rooms available so we ended up with a GORGEOUS 2 Queen Ocean View Room and a tiny out-dated cabin. The bed was comfortable and linens were clean however the carpet was still damp from cleaning. No AC in the cabin.

We like Ocean Crest and restaurant

We like views, restaurant and beach access. Waiter Ryan at the restaurant is exceptionally good.

Pillows were not comfortable.

Price. Location.

Fish / clam cleaning under room starting at 0700. Not the best way to wake up. Mattress should have been retired years ago. Like sleeping on bare springs.

Room not up to expectations, or as the pictures posted.

The restaurant was lovely. The view was amazing, and the food was exceptionable. Even though we did not use it because of the weather, there is a beautiful wooden walkway that went around the property and to the beach. There was also a large recreation building across the street.

So shocked to see how run down and the disrepair the outside of this hotel was in. The room was nothing like the pictures on the web. I stayed in this hotel when it opened over 50 years ago, and this room looked like it hadn't been updated since then. The room was extremely small. Furniture was old, marred, water stained, etc. No table or counter space anywhere. Power bar and wiring attached to the wall was next to the small TV that did not work often. It was a rainy day and the stairs up to the 2nd floor were slick and the handrails were slimy.

I had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend!

It was on the ocean and beautifully decorated. The fireplace was wonderful and cozy. The kitchen area was well stocked with all anyone would need. very nice. All staff were wonderful and nice.

There is a wonderful restaurant on the property but very few options for a takeout type/cheaper option for those with animals or leaving early.

Unique location above the sea the sunsets were like Hawaii

The Pool! The beach of course the views but most of all the FOOD!~!

Crossing the road to the pool is odd but who cares its a pool!

The people are the best thing about our stay, both in the dining room (our dinners were outstanding) and at the front desk. They took care of our every need. It was fabulous.

There is no breakfast included. Great location. Nice staff.

The rooms are in serious need of updating and maintenance. Stairs to the beach are rickety, probably don't meet any codes, and all maintenance seems neglected.

The location is great and the views!! Room was nice sized. The pool was pleasant enough.

Had issues with check in as their computer system Wasn't connected properly with booking.com and was overcharged and assigned wrong room # ....issue was resolved though. Food wasn't worth the cost at the restaurant.

Absolutely adore the location, the walk way down to the beach is glorious.

The place is definitely mid century, I think if they updated it, it would lose some of its charm. Having said that, it could be less expensive for what you're getting

My dinner cost more than my room.

I really enjoyed the hot tub and pool. That was a nice surprise. I wasn’t aware of that amenity. I arrive too late to really enjoy the ocean view not that I had one from my room.

I thought the restaurant was really expensive. I thought that was the only place to go around there to eat. I arrived later and was starving. I just wanted a burger and some fries. I didn’t want to pay 70 bucks for food. Unless you feel like paying a lot of money for dinner, I would probably drive into Pacific Beach which is the next town down. I think they might have more options for affordable dining.
