Beautiful view from my very nice room. The staff was very nice and the location was perfect for dining in the downtown district. First time visitor in Norfolk, will definitely come back for a vacation spot.
Nothing to put here except maybe a little pricey. But it was well worth it! Escalator down from 4th floor meeting space was not working so you had to wait a short time for elevators. No real complaints to be given.

The man that checked us in took extra precautions to make sure our room was right after having a hard time finding the reservation because of the booking.com ref number not lining up. We got in late (almost midnight) and very much appreciated the extra care and consideration.
The hotel and local city was lovely. The beds were so comfortable and the hotel was close to the airport and our destination. We liked everything.

The hotel had a lot of wasted space----we paid $600. for one night and was charged $10. for the internet!! I don't understand why this hotel was soooo$$$$$ I also found the room noisy and the noise came from inside the hotel.
The breakfast I bought with the room was shameful. I had what seemed to be a day old stale croissant that was inedible. I asked for strawberry jam not wanting grape, apple or mixed berry (always the leftover flavors) and was told there was none. The eggs were hard. The seating was uncomfortable and in the lobby area. It was one of the worst experiencews I've ever had at $600. hotel and I've stayed at plenty of them. Look it was a nice overpriced hotel. The staff was excellent and Saltine the night before was wonderful. I wondered how a hotel with such a good restaurant had such a bad breakfast.

Didn’t receive the room I paid for. Took over an hour of waiting in the lobby to be relocated to another room

Chose this location based on prior solo stays as well as staycations as a couple and a family. I love the restaurants. Building always has great vibes with friendly and helpful staff. Lots of places to take photos. 3rd floor has conference rooms and great decor. I made special request during the booking- all those request were honored (which hardly ever happens no matter how far in advance I book). Incredibly accommodating front desk staff. Loved the pool. Room was spacious and looked just as advertised. Couch was very dirty though. I refused to sit on it or even put my clothes or suitcase on it. That couch should definitely be removed immediately. We paid for the breakfast that comes as an added fee when booking- I could’ve done without it. It would be better to just pay a la carte when dining in for breakfast. The prices are reasonable and selection is slightly better than what was offered as their continental breakfast. Paying for parking was the only downside. Parking was the standard daily price but I think it’s just too expensive. Definitely paying for convenience and security of your vehicle though. I wouldn’t recommend parking on too many of the streets overnight in the area.

The bed was very comfortable and cozy. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone. Only thing I would have an issue with is the parking options
Parking should be free for the amount you pay for the rooms. The street parking is slim. Valet parking too high and the garage parking is also

That they had me in the wrong room at first

My room was very comfortable and the floor to ceiling window made it seem even more spacious. The attached parking garage was a huge plus. Staff was all very polite and friendly.

What I loved was this dinner I had at Saltine. The fries, shrimps, crab soup, beer and oysters were simply great.
That room facing mine, it was noisy all night long, I could hear all sorts of noise, shouting, laughing, screaming, there was also a noise like fireworks popping. it went off twice and made me open my door to check if it was an electrical short circuit.
There was no view to mention. At the price you pay, least you would expect is an acceptable view.

The staff was friendly, courteous and helpful. The public spaces were beautiful. Our room was spacious with a beautiful view. The coffee bar was wonderful. We ate at Saltine and Grain. Both restaurants served delicious food. We were even fortunate enough to watch fireworks from Grain.
One of the valet staff spoke impolitely to our bell hop in front of us. It was embarrassing to the young man to whom he was speaking as well as to us. We asked housekeeping for towels one day and did not get them. The front desk made sure we got them the next day after I called about it.

The hotel was nice and a nice location
I didn't like the fact that we couldn't have a late check out after spending $600 for one night We could at least had a late checkout.
The staff was not very friendly It seemed like they didn't really want to wait on you especially the young lady that was at the front desk on Saturday doing check-in She seemed like she wanted to stay on the phone for about 30 minutes I don't even think she was talking to anybody to be honest she just didn't want to wait on us seem very snooty

I loved the view and the size of my room. The surrounding areas were interesting and pleasure to have the opportunity to explore them. The battle ships was amazing.
I was very disappointed 😞 that it took over an 1hr for me to get a room when I had a reservation. Check in was at 4 and I didn't get a room until after 5pm. Very disappointing.
