Wow the bed sheet were so soft and the mattress was firm yet soft, honestly a dream. The pillows were perfect. There is a light above the bed, a sizeable closet, plenty of blankets and the AC was pumpingggg. The veranda was lovely, and the widow's walk was to die for. Claire is super nice, friendly and helpful. She has really great food tips! The place is just around the corner from downtown, only a five minute walk to all the main attractions.
I didn't like sharing the bathroom with others but in the end it wasn't terrible. It was fine for two days.

Breakfast was very basic-same thing each day. Fresh bread slices to toast, bagels, coffee, orange juice and breakfast pastries like zuchinni bread and blueberry muffins. There were bananas and small bowl of yogurt with granola toppings. The location was very quiet, felt really safe and close 3-5 min walk to historic town square and many restaurants. Someone did keep the shared bathroom stocked with towels and kept it clean.
Never saw the host of the property. Keys were left in your room so no one to greet you. Breakfast only served from 8-9am and coffee ran out. My room was small (which I expected from the pictures) and shared bathroom (also disclosed). It was fairly dated and the twin bed slanted to one side. Ceiling VERY short (did not expect). If you were 6ft tall your head would hit the ceiling. The hairdryer kept setting the fire alarm off ceilings were so close to standing and drying hair. Walls need painting and looked worn. I felt it was overpriced for what was provided. I can't speak about other rooms...maybe they were lovely. Lots of other choices so I would probably stay another location next visit.

Great location and beautiful rooms! Delicious breakfasts and delightful porch. Allowed to check in early and leave bags after checking out - this was a big help!
Very expensive but competitive with other locations.

Our room had a nice porch and the continental breakfast was nice in the updated dining room. The manager who checked us in was very nice.
The stairway carpet going up to the rooms and in the hallway is filthy. Our room had a funky smell. We asked the cleaning person to spray the carpet but we couldn't identify where it was coming from. The bathroom doesn't have a fan.

The location was perfect! The inn was very cozy and quaint. Delicious breakfast. Lots of places to sit outside - on the deck and in the garden.

location very good.. enjoyed the walks and the surroundings. easy access to the downtown but far enough apart.

The breakfast was good. We loved how there were freshly baked cookies daily for an afternoon snack! We loved how cozy and intimate the bed and breakfast was. The owner seems to work very hard. She needs to have a cart to bring everything into the dining room. Poor thing kept making many trips back and forth to bring things!
We do suggest adding cereal to the breakfast buffet. Perhaps adding another small table to accommodate everyone at breakfast.

The location was great. The walk into town was less than five minutes and we wound up renting bikes to access other parts of the island that were further away. Although we didn't spend a lot of time in the common spaces, they were recently renovated, which was appreciated.
The actual room that we stayed in was not worth the cost that we paid. I understand that everything on the island is expensive, but we paid a lot of money to stay in a closet with two twin beds, a low ceiling, a shared bathroom, and no room to maneuver or open our suitcases. We were prepared to share a bathroom, but it would have been helpful to know how many rooms we'd be sharing it with since accessing it was tricky.

My room was VERY nice and comfy. Even though I picked a shared bathroom, it was also very nice and clean. I also liked that they had a covered area for my bike that I brought over on the ferry.
Breakfast was kinda disappointing as it was just a bunch of carbs (pastries and such). It would be nice to have some meat even if they charge a bit for it.

The location was good and sitting on the veranda was very pleasant. Nantucket is a beautiful place but is expensive
The rooms are very small and as the house is old, there can be problems.

Cindy made a wonderful breakfast consisting of many choices ranging from fresh fruits to baked goodies. Such as bagels, breads morning glory muffins, scones, and turnovers. Tea, coffee and cocoa.
The inn is just a few blocks from the ferry landing. We walked everywhere.
Saying goodbye.

An absolute gem! I've stayed at many hotels in Nantucket but had the best stay at Martin House Inn. Everything exceeded my expectations. Room had everything one could possibly need , want, plus more. Very comfortable bed! I shared a bathroom with other guests, and it was very clean and well equipped. The best breakfast I've eaten at bed & breakfast Inns. I can't get over the fact how beautifully it was spread. Delicious and pretty with so many choices, what else can you ask for. There is a porch and an outside sitting area - both very inviting. Most importantly the staff is very nice, friendly and accommodating. The location is fantastic. I only stayed one night, but for sure, I will return.
Nothing. Everything was absolutely awesome!

The lady said that my stay could not be extended because some guest comlained about me exercising in the room.
Howevever, I was not doing that, I was actually just working in laptop, I thought That was extremely intrusive.
What comfort Do I have if I cannot go to sleep whatever time I want to.

Amazing house from the 1800s with great atmosphere. The host was very nice, the breakfast was excellent and water/hot beverages are always available.

We stayed on the third floor (attic space), and it was so cozy and sweet. We loved the decor and traditional quaint feel. The beds were very comfortable and having a sink in the room was great. Amazing traditional breakfast of pastries, great granola, Greek yoghurt and tea or coffee shared with a lovely group of people. Charming lobby and dining area.
Nothing, it was pretty perfect actually.

Century home. Cozy spacious common living room. Coffee all day. Freshly baked cookies on evenings. Well lit up room with very comfortable beds and couches. Clean and very spacious shared bathroom with premium quality towels. Property is with in walking distance from Steam Authority ferry terminal. Good quality continental breakfast.
Ongoing construction in front of the property, so there are all kinds of noise through out the day. Most street lights on the street do not work.

Location to downtown completely walkable
The beds were so comfortable
The proprietor was so nice welcoming and the breakfast was great
We were off season so cost was excellent

Nice, small historic property. Simple home feel. Good location under normal circumstances.
Unacceptable customer service: My wife and I selected this small inn for its historic charm but found the place with a row of earth moving equipment parked in front and the road torn open. The dining area was blocked off from the lobby with plastic tarps, and the carpet was covered in plastic. The manager should have informed me when I booked the room a week earlier. Her excuse was that she mistakenly thought I was a worker (Was that supposed to make me feel better?!). She offered to refund me and to help me find another hotel, but we were tired and felt it was too late to move somewhere else (We did not bring a car to the island and the evening's experience was already ruined at that point). We feel that it was dishonest to let us book the room without disclosure, and if it was indeed an honest error, the manager should have discounted our stay.
