Сozy apartments with a great view

We were in the same block (2 rooms) with friends. The block had a kitchen and a bathroom. The rooms were comfortable. One of them had a balcony with a great view. All rooms and things in the block were clean. I would stay there again. Recommend this apartment

Location is excellent

Aparyments are not Sound proof isolated so noise was spread all the time from above apartment. Kitchen was not good equipped. Parking was 300m Far away. Too expensive

Really good place close to Trolltunga

I don't understand the really poor reviews of this place. It has almost everything you could wish for. It's clean, the beds are comfortable, the bathroom is big, there is everything you need to cook a homemade meal (pots, pans, cutlery, plates, glasses, dish soap etc), it's super close to the Trolltunga hike... It''s true that it's really expensive, but that's the standard in the area...

The place has no noise isolation. You hear everything your neighbors are doing and vice versa. It needs to be remade completely. We sleep with earplugs so once in bed it was not too much of an issue but if you want to go to bed early before hiking trolltunga and don't use earplugs, go somewhere else.

Superb

The picturous view from the window is amazing. Spacious apartment is quite comfy and children liked it a lot.

Sound isolation is a nightmare. At 3 AM I had to make a round trip around the building to find a noisy neighbouring guests and kindly ask them to stop by knocking on their window.

I’d skip it if I knew it had very little amenities

Good size bedrooms

Rooms are a bit sparse. There is ZERO space in the shower room to put toiletries. Not a single shelf. It was a bit odd to have to walk from the toilet room across the kitchen to the shower room to wash your hands. There should be a sink in the bathroom. Would have liked to see coffee for one morning to get you through if you arrived late in the evening and didn’t have time to grocery shop. In fact, an actual coffee maker instead of a hot plate would be nice. Kitchen was sparse. Not even salt. Should be noted on website that amenities are slim to none at this place.

Staff were very kind and helpful. Localisation was perfect - close to Trolltunga area.

Great for a short stay with the family.

The apartment was fully equipped with all you need for a night's stay. It even had a full kitchen with an oven and refrigerator. Dining table with two chairs. The bedrooms were large and had separate toilet and shower.

There was no parking in front of the property. We had to park in front of the main property, which is the Tysedal Hotel. We had to collect the keys from the reception at Tysedal Hotel which was about 400 meters away (200 meters with a shortcut). No TV at the property. It was a bit hard to find the place as we arrived at night.

You are renting a ROOM, NOT an Apartment

Rooms were freshly renovated. One of the bedrooms was huge - much bigger, than most rooms. The second was smaller, but still over average. Okay for one or two nights, but I would not recommend spending your whole holiday here.

Furniture was extremely cheap. In one bedroom they could not even be bothered to hang up the picture - they just left it in a corner. The oven was still dirty from one of the last guests and was obviously not even a little cleaned. Basic kitchen-equipment was missing like a ladle, spatula, strainer, kitchen towel, wooden spoon or basic spices like salt and pepper. What annoyed us mostly, was, that we did not realize before, that you are not actually renting an apartment but a room within an apartment. In our case it turned out fine, since we needed two bedrooms and every apartment consists of two bedrooms. But if you only need one bedroom you actually share the apartment with strangers - bathroom, toilet, front room and kitchen (there is a map of the rooms in my pictures). In my opinion it is not clear enough on the site, that that's the case.

Definitely not worth the price paid

The apartment was large and spacious. Position is good to hyke to Trolltunga. Check in was very fast and personell was kind

The kitchen was very dirty. I didn’t feel comfortable in using the kitchen stuff because it was in the drawer which was very dirty. The bathroom is not comfortable and you get water everywhere when you do the shower. Definitely not worth the price paid.

Great hub for exploring the region

Apartment was big and very clean, high ceiling, big windows, great view! Exceptionally well equipped kitchen (with dishwasher!, large sink, huge oven, inductive stove). Large bathroom with floor heating and hot shower. Bedrooms with table and chairs in each and lots of space for luggage. Every room has a separate electrical heater, wich works really well. Great service at hotel front desk, very friendly and helpful staff. All amenities from hotel can be used for extra fee (breakfast, lunchpack, dinner, sauna).

Not really negative, but room for improvement/consideration: no elevator (carrying large luggage up 3 floors with high ceilings is a good workout). short 2 minute walk from parking lot/hotel to Apartments, but luggage can be offloaded right in front of apartments. things the apartment didn't have, but we would have liked: oven mitts, dishtowel, salt/pepper, oil for cooking (and similar supplies that don't make sense to buy for a short stay). toilet and shower are in separate rooms, which is actually good, but there is no sink in toilet.

A decent budget option for staying near Trolltunga.

The apartment was pretty spacious and well equipped. We had everything we needed. We all agreed that the beds were reasonably comfortable. Wi-Fi was functional. We also paid for the breakfast, and it was decent.

There was a strange smell when we entered the apartment, I guess someone was cooking nearby, but it was pretty unpleasant. Unfortunately, there were also loud people in other apartments. The parking is a little confusing as you can't park right next to the apartments.

Spacious, clean room for a family (2 adults + 2 kids). Perfect location for a hike to Trolltunga.

No other restaurants in Tyssedal than the one at the hotel.

Very much helpful staff, location directly on start of Trolltunga path… Perfect kitchen - small number meals to choose, but all of them just great. Odda is just 10 min and two tunnels away with car.

Missing any storage for clothing, wet jackets etc. Missing basic bathroom equipment - in meaning of any shelter, box or something where you can put your shower gel and razor. All the appt are equipped really puristic. Just beds and bed blankets, somehow equipped kitchen and towels - that’s it… The price they charge is much higher than Bergen’s 4* Radisson - and the only reason is location on main road to Trolltunga. Accomodation is not worth the money. Kitchen in hotel restaurant yes! In Slotted Appts. you can hear the iron melting factory just bellow the Hotel Tyssedal (mother hotel of Slotted Appts. It runs 24/7 😂… But if tired from trails above - its fine (in difference to Hottel Tyssedal where you have the noise directly under your room windows).

Exceptional

New, clean, good space, comfortable beds. On the corner of the building there is a set of tables and chairs so one can eat outside.

The balcony was not usable. Walls are quite thin, can hear neighbors.

Excellent experience all in all.

Bedrooms, toilet, shower and kitchen were very tidy and clean. Beds were comfortable. Easy access to the hotel and breakfast. Staff were super friendly and did their best to please us all.

The hotel could have added and extra bed as the bedrooms in the apartment were really spacious. In that case we had to book another room.

Very well set up and designed...just needs a couple of easily fixed improvement.

Apartment floor plan was very practical with kitchen shared between two rooms. The windows opened so that the room was cool and comfortable with a lovely view.

The kitchen did not include dish washing soap or a drying towel - consequently, most of the dishes were greasy and not clean...but the selection was good. I recommend replacing the small frying pan and adding a wall mirror within the room.
