An unforgettable place to stay!

It was quirky and magical. So much to see and do. Hidden rooms and hidden bars. Hot springs plunge pool and cinema from sofas.

it was a really relaxing time, that perfected our vacation.

everything. the steam room was amazing and the food and drinks were great. not to mention the staff was friendly the whole time.

Charming rooms, nice pub/restaurant, great location in the heart of downtown Bend

Attractive rooms, great location, fun and cozy pub/restaurant, good food.

Fire alarm repeatedly went off from late afternoon into the evening----just two or three times, but very loud and it wasnt clear if we needed to leave or should stay. Then our next-door neighbors were loud from 8:30-10:30 pm. I had to call the front desk twice in order to get them to quiet down. On our bill when we checked out, they gave us a discount on the room due to the noise issue, which was nice. Very little sound insulation since we could hear laughing, thumping, dancing, loud music...very annoying.

The best thing I have done for myself in a very long time!

McMenamin's offers elegant rooms with comfortable beds, large bathrooms, room service, and fluffy terry cloth robes and towels just like other high-end luxury hotels. However, McMenamin's offers more than simply a nice place to stay. I might not choose McMenamin's for a quick overnight stay. But as a destination unto itself no question, this is the place to stay! McMenamin's offers a fascinating and imaginative world that is not only relaxing but takes you to another place, an adventure in itself that is a luxury I find difficult to express. I loved; the artwork, the themes throughout, the stories and references to music artists and songs, the headboard in my room, the soaking pool, all the food wherever you ate it, the outdoor fireplaces, wood paneling, the warm feel, the atmosphere, the people both other guests and McMenamin's staff. The list is endless. Plus it was amazingly quiet. I did not hear neighboring rooms or bathrooms or even the public patio outside my building. All this is right in the heart of downtown Bend.

The showerhead in my room was generic and could be improved upon but that is the only thing.

So fun.

We love the friendliness of the staff and the bonus amenities like the soaking pool (AMAZING) and the hidden bar, Broom Closet. We finally decided to get the Mcmenamins Passport and it was so cool to get so many stamps at one location. This is our go-to place in Bend.

Nice place, but really cumbersome getting to and from Redmond Airport.

Soaking pool was fantastic, but we had to walk about a block through to outdoor bar areas and a parking lot in our bathroabs to reach it. No dressing room near the soaking pool.

We should have been warned that our room was in a separate building far away from the main hotel, soaking pool And restaurant.

This is a very quirky place, just what people need to escape the run of the mill and predictable.

Very atmospheric. A real warren full of surprises and a selection of pubs. One of those unique destinations. We really enjoyed being in the Art House and close to the Broom Closet.

The morning coffee spread set out near the elevator was inferior. The coffee was not up to par and hot water provided for tea was tepid.

Very clean room,comfy bed. Right next to the Broom Closet tavern,very handy. Lunch and dinner were both excellent wit h friendly waiters.

It was a little too dark. Needed a brighter hanging light.

Disappointing

Other than OKanes staff, everyone was great.

Had mostly positive experience except for one night at Hugh O'Kanes when staff would not notice or serve me (despite having $40 dinner/$20 tip the night before with exact same staff) -- I sat for 15 minutes while 4 other parties who arrived after me were served. It was as if I was invisible. I complained to front desk and was offered nothing but sympathy. So the hotel lost my dinner business and I was left with a bad memory. Won't patronize this establishment again.

Attractive, quirky. Good location.

Room could have used a comfy chair. Also, found the many wood burning fire pits smoky and unpleasant (for someone with respiratory problems.)
