My husband and I occasionally book an overnight get away. We live in Greensboro NC. I was looking for a place that had a hot tub in j the room. I was so lucky to stumble across this place.
The River inn blow us away. We booked the chicken house. The perfect romantic get away. Now the room didn't have a tv. But we had WiFi. The hot tub along with the fireplace was so romantic. The theme of the cabin was perfect. The king size bed was so comfortable with tons of pillows.
The breakfast the next morning was exceptional. The mimosa was fresh squeezed orange juice. My husband said the French toast was the best he ever ate.
The staff was so kind and pleasant. We will be back.
Everything was so perfect. If I had anything I wish was better , I'll have to say the porch to the chicken house. Tons of leaves ,it wasn't very inviting. I would've been an extra bonus if it has been cleared. But still not that big of a deal.

Look and feel of an English country home. My Delux room has an electric built-in fireplace and hot tub. Small patio with river rock walls. Very relaxing. And no TV in the room. Only a couple of shelves of books! Just what I needed to unwind from my week!
Prices for dinner were a bit high.
Appetizer, main course, and dessert with a glass of wine was abiut $70, but there was also live piano music in the dining room. So, I did not mind the expensense. Staff very friendly and helpful.

The room was very crowded , damp , and had no appropriate seating . The carpet had damp areas because the room was damp. Our clean never used towels were damp . The tub floor was not even and showering was quite a feat. We sat outside on wicker with no cushion but better than inside the room. Cost was the same as other more up to date rooms but were not available or offered even though we asked about possibly getting better seating. A dehumidifier was in the closet so evidently that was a known problem. Also, my husband was served scallops two days in a row because he could not eat lamb chops ant the second meal even though they knew he was allergic to pork & beef. We furnished Turkey sausage for breakfast since no alternative was suggested. They did have nondairy creamer for me and fruit instead of whip cream on pound cake.

River House Inn was amazing! The food was excellent and after the first night it felt like family. Everyone was so friendly and you felt like they were friends. Even the quest were very friendly and became friends. In the beginning being unplugged was strange but after the first night I loved it. We will definitely be back and recommend it to others!

My husband Joe and I stayed in the wee cabin and it was so enjoyable and relaxing. This was for my birthday and everyone was so accommodating. Even though we came when the restaurant at the inn was not open they made an exception and served a fabulous dinner and dessert. It was such a treat! Everyone from the chef, reception and the owner treated you like family.

We stayed in the main house above the restaurant/bar. The downstairs is elegant and charming. The upstairs is full of history and fascinating.

The breakfast was delicious!
All of it was great! The ceiling fans in the different locations could have been cleaned, dust/down Ty on all of them! It’s important to me because I have allergies. I wasn’t able to put mine n in my bedroom because of this. I also noticed the dining room ones where I ate were the same

People were great. Food was amazing. Room was awesome.
Communication prior to arrival. Hard to reach a person and when I did it was a server from the restaurant who could not really answer my questions.

Quaint little cottages located on the grounds of a beautiful old farm house. The grounds were beautiful and guests were free to explore, or just sit and rock on the porch. Food was amazing, and service was outstanding.
Nothing. Everything was perfect.

The location is lovely and the owner and staff are fabulous! The included breakfast was exceptional and we enjoyed coffee, fresh squeezed OJ, fruit plate and omelettes. I was especially impressed with the omelettes as I think they are tricky to get right. The dinners were off the charts. My husband had a filet mignon which was maybe the best I have ever had (we share plates) and my trout was perfect. The next night we both had the duck and it did not disappoint. Drinks from the bar on the front porch was fun as we met lots of interesting and nice people. The wait staff is professional and friendly. We loved our room and have already made reservations for a return stay.

Pretty outside and lots of room for the dogs to play n run.
We were charged for items that we did not order/receive. While we waited fir dinner The bartender at a minimum of 7 to 8 times would scratch off one ticket n say no wait I put that on the wrong ticket n once said whatever their drunk n want care. I was shocked n disappointed. We checked out n there was no breakdown of our bill. No way dinner n 3 drinks were 175$. She said it was tax. Ummmm no. I’m not cheap at all I just refuse to pay for something that I didn’t order much less receive. I know staffing is an issue but my goodness this was just unacceptable. 😩😩😩🥺🥺🥺
