About this cottage rental
Bluebell Cottage is a pretty semi-detached quaint village cottage. It even has roses round the door! There is a large garden to the side of the cottage, over a shared drive, and this area also provides plenty of off street parking. Langham is an attractive village with an excellent pub 200 yards down the road from the cottage. Little sister to The Harper Hotel, The Bluebell serves excellent beer, wines and has a good menu. You will be assured of a warm welcome.
Langham is close to the coast; Blakeney and Morston are two miles away, the attractive Georgian town of Holt is six miles away and Wells-Next-The-Sea is just seven miles along the coast road.
Bluebell Cottage has been in the Rogers family for 100 years and the family also ran the village pub for over a hundred years too. You will see links to the Bluebell in the cottage.
Although modernised, Bluebell Cottage retains great traditional charm. It contains many interesting antique pieces of furniture and is very well equipped with everything one needs for a relaxing and restful holiday. The cottage comprises a kitchen with all modern conveniences including a dishwasher, washing machine and microwave, ceramic hob and oven, a dining room with table, chairs and a Victorian armchair, a cosy sitting room with a three piece suite, antique tables, bookcase and books and a Smart TV. Upstairs there are two attractive bedrooms [one double and one with two singles]. The bedrooms both have wardrobes and antique dressing tables. The cottage has a downstairs loo with wash hand basin and a bathroom upstairs with loo, wash hand basin, full sized bath and separate power shower enclosure. The cottage has broadband. All bedlinen is provided and made up for your arrival. We ask guests to bring their own towels and tea towels.
There is an enclosed back courtyard garden [dog safe], with table and benches, plus a BBQ. There is a also a large garden area, laid to grass, to the right of the drive where you can park several cars. A bench and table under the old apple tree is a perfect place to sit and have a cup of tea or sip a G&T on a sunny evening.
The cottage has steep stairs and is not suitable for young children or those with mobility difficulties. We do allow up to two small / medium sized well behaved dogs. Dogs must sleep in the kitchen (dog gate provided from kitchen to dining room) and they must not be left in the house when you go out. Dogs are not allowed on any of the furniture and must not be allowed to go upstairs at all.
There are many excellent pubs and restaurants in the area offering a wide variety of food, from hearty bar snacks to a la carte dining. More details can be found in the information packs you will find in the cottage. There is a wealth of things to do in the area and Langham is ideally placed in this delightful area of North Norfolk.
We are always happy to answer more detailed questions about the cottage, the area and local attractions, so please don't hesitate to get in touch. Information brochures in the cottage detail many places of interest, local eateries, walks and other information, such as seal trip times to Blakeney Point.

Quaint traditional cottage ideals situated to see the area round about

Great host, lovely quiet location full of character.

The only problem with rating this cottage very highly is that I then have to worry that it will be occupied next time. Rarely have we felt so comfortable straight away. It's not a sterile flat, but a house with "soul". We felt that from the very first minute. And the surroundings were also so relaxing, not for people who need a "high life", but for people like us who simply need a "holiday" from everyday life. I sincerely hope we can make it to this wonderful place again. Chris & Gudrun frpm Germany

Just the right amount of space for 3-4 adults. It was hot on our week in June but the cottage was cool and we felt ok leaving the bedroom windows open. Constant hot water for showers and plenty of water.
There is everything you need if you remember to bring towels!
Nice little patio outside the kitchen and a big grassed area with benches where you park, great in the sunshine all day.
The area is beautiful and you can walk to the coast in 1-2 miles although mainly on roads, which are quiet.
Beware the steep stairs, you need to know about these before you book, although there are 2 handrails and you get used to it! Downstairs loo is helpful in this regard.
Short drive to Blakeney, Cley and Wells which are favourites. Birdwatching in the area is great too.

My friend and myself have just had a week in this lovely cottage( May 2024).
The cottage had everything we needed and was in a great location.
It was very clean, cosy and warm.
The garden is huge and we enjoyed sitting in it when the weather was kind to us.
It is in a great location to visit lots of local villages and towns very easily.
I would like to return and stay here again.
Thankyou Andrew and Mandy for your local information in your cottage and for your great communication with us.

Lovely cottage with everything we needed. A welcome bottle of wine, cake and flowers were much appreciated. Thank you. Very friendly pubs in villages close by serving excellent food. Beautiful area to visit.

We had a very good holiday but as a couple in our 80s think it was perhaps a bit too far from public services. You definitely need a car.

The cottage was superbly equipped with lots of lovely features. It was the perfect place to stay and the location was great - super dog walks nearby and the enclosed garden gave us peace of mind!

The cottage was a mix of old and new that worked well for our group of 4 + 1 dog! The garden/parking area was a useful space and a few games of badminton were had in the evenings when it wasn't so hot. The welcome gift of flowers, wine and cake was a nice touch and appreciated. We had a problem with the shower when we arrived late Saturday afternoon and could not get it to work. I messaged the owner on Sunday and at 9am Monday morning, he was there to repair it. In the event, he decided to buy a new pump and had it up and running before noon! Excellent customer service and greatly appreciated by all in the party.
Would we stay here again? Absolutely.

Family Summer Holiday
We had a great family summer holiday in sunny North Norfolk.
Bluebell cottage was lovely. Really clean and well furnished, with lots of character.
We really enjoyed the great weather eating out in the garden. Which was also more than big enough to play in with our 5 year old son.
Also handy to be just a short walk from the village pub too which is great for ales and food.
We'd definitely stay here again.

A little Gem
We had a wonderful week in Bluebell Cottage.
The cottage was beautifully clean and very well appointed. Had such a calm homely feel which allowed us to relax and recharge our batteries.
Nice outdoor space to enjoy al fresco dining and plenty of off road parking and great turning space.
The stairs are a little steep as stated in the details but handrails on either side and my husband who has hip and knee problems was absolutely fine.
Lovely touches e.g. welcome gifts of fresh flowers , wine and cake.
Great location and excellent pub in the village.
We definitely want to return.

Bluebell Cottage Review
If you would like a very clean, well-equipped, reasonably-priced little cottage from which to explore the attractions and beauties of North Norfolk, this is the place for you.

Hot in June
Very clean and comfortable. We were very pleased with it.
Only two issues: the stairs are steep and we would suggest that the owners advise that they might not be suitable for people with limited mobility. ( To be fair, they do say they are steep in the information.)
It would have helped to have some guidance on opening the sash windows.

Fabulous cottage
This is a lovely, cosy, comfortable cottage. It's very well equipped, has comfy beds, an outdoor seating area and is in a great location in a quiet village. There's even an off road parking area in the back garden. The location is great for visiting the north Norfolk coast and further afield. Can't wait to return next year.

Charming cottage highly recommended
Had a most contented stay in Bluebell Cottage with wife and two Labradors. Cosy and well appointed, good off street parking, located one end of nice, quiet village. Highlights for us:- Morston to Blakeney coastal walk; Brancaster beach for dogs (unrestricted summer season); Norwich and King's Lynn packed full of history. Many thanks to kind owners for wine and cake on arrival!

Beautiful cottage - great location
Bluebell Cottage is a little gem situated in Langham village. The cottage has all the facilities you would expect for a comfortable stay, all in a characterful cottage. Location is perfect for exploring the area and Andrew and Mandy were very helpful both prior to and during our stay. Would thoroughly recommend.

Really lovely holiday at Bluebell Cottage in Langham! We thought the cottage is well equipped, and the garden was a great place to sit out in the beautiful sunshine. The Blue Bell pub over the road was excellent, went for food and drinks several times. And we loved many of the places nearby, especially Cley Marshes Nature Reserve, Holkham Beach and Temple Seal Boat Trip to Blakeney Point. Thanks again for the stay! Mark and Veronica

The owners were very friendly and assisted us when we left something behind on departure. We have only good things to say. We had a wonderful stay - thank you!

Bluebell Cottage is full of character. The cottage was well equipped and we were given plenty of information and tips by the owners. The week we spent there just happened to be one of the coldest weeks in June but the cottage was warm and cosy and we were very happy with our surroundings.

Bluebell cottage is a really pretty cottage which has been equipped very thoughtfully - and certainly had everything we needed for a week away from home. We both felt that the photo of the cottage on the website didn’t do it justice. The beds and sofas were probably the most comfortable we’ve ever had whilst in a cottage like this and the bedding was fabulous too. It was also definitely the cleanest place we’ve ever stayed in. The neighbours were lovely and welcoming and there were folders left detailing recommended walks, restaurants, pubs and other useful info. Langham is a very pretty village which is only about 15 minutes drive to the coast and some stunning beautiful coastal walks. The cottage also has a friendly local pub just a minute’s walk away which did great food on the nights we didn’t want to cook. We don’t often go back to the same holiday cottage twice but for this one we’re very likely to make an exception.
