Our charming holiday villa in St James Parish Barbados is just a
three-minute walk from the crystal clear Caribbean sea, with stunning views & coral beaches. Opposite the Royal Fairmont Pavilion Hotel on the west coast in the parish of St James.
Porters Court is an exclusive gated development of eight luxury chattel style villas nestled around a swimming pool set in tropical gardens. No 1 is one of the largest open-plan villas with a private garden. The exotic planting is representative of the Caribbean and Barbados. Our gardener visits Mon -Fri to look after the gardens and empty the bins. Please bag all food waste. The pool is serviced twice a week to keep everything in order. The price you pay is fully inclusive of electricity water etc. No hidden bills.
Number One Porters Court is a Barbados holiday rental with a touch of luxury. Its high ceilings of traditional 'pickled pine' offer two en-suite king-size bedrooms that can be made up into either twin or king-size beds and sleeps, four people. An extra bed can be hired at $20 BDS per day. This will fit comfortably in the second bedroom. The beds are fitted with cool crisp white Egyptian cotton sheets. Air conditioning and ceiling fans will keep you feeling comfortable. The wraparound veranda is perfect for outdoor dining. Watch the Hummingbirds feed on the tropical plants whilst enjoying a leisurely breakfast. Porters Court is a relaxing and tranquil place to enjoy your holiday. We have a well-equipped kitchen, washing machine, dryer, coffee percolator, microwave, juicer and everything you will need if you choose to dine in. No1 has a private free car park. Please be advised. We would prefer no smoking in or around the villa. We have fibre optic superfast broadband. A small docking station to recharge. The TV has a Amazon fire stick.
The villa has a desk area with a selection of books, wifi and modem (fast & free Wifi) The open plan lounge & dining area is spacious and opens up onto the verandah with roman blinds to add intimacy for alfresco breakfasts or romantic evening meals. We have a BBQ on the veranda if you wish to buy some local fresh fish and try some Bajan cooking.
Our Bajan holiday rental villa is tucked away in a quiet corner surrounded by tropical well-maintained gardens, our private garden has two loungers and an umbrella for sunbathing. The swimming pool is conveniently near the centre of the development, with plenty of loungers and umbrellas.
Our housekeeper visits twice a week to refresh the villa. Guests staying at No 1 have the advantage of the services of Jeanine our property manager who will greet you on arrival and provide you with gates codes etc, she will show you around the complex and assist you in any way she can during your stay. Jeanine can book tours and advise you re car hire etc. A 24-hour helpline number will be available to you.
For water sports enthusiasts, Hobie cats, water skiing, boat trips & diving are all available on the beach. Snorkel just off the beach, feed Turtles by hand and be amazed by the stunning tropical fish.

No 1 Porters Court was just perfect for us. It was absolutely immaculate, so spacious and airy and very well appointed. The gardens were beautiful and it was wonderful to have the pool.

Perfect property in Porters
Just had six wonderful days at Caroline and Ians beautiful villa. It had everything we needed and more. I visit the island a lot and wanted to ensure the friends who came with me, who hadn’t been before, felt at home and relaxed and the villa did all of that. It is spacious, spotlessly clean and I think has the best spot on the little complex - tucked in the corner so very private. Jeanine the property manager was also great when we needed her. We all loved our stay there and, at the risk of stabbing myself in the foot with regard to future availability, I would happily recommend to others as a place to stay!

Lovely villa 7 minutes walk to beach
I had a lovely stay, the villa is a real home from home with all amenities. Very good WiFi. Very private with nice shaded veranda. Small back yard grassed area which we didn’t use. The communal pool is very small so not for swimming more a quick dip. Short walk to beach - this beach is quite narrow and has hotels all the way along handy if you want to rent a lounger but not a quiet beach. 2 very nice restaurants, Lonestar very nice. Jonas good too. Ju bar great for a rum. Supermarket 10 minute drive so a car is recommended during COVID times. Would def recommend villa. Owners super helpful. Housekeeper superb.

Loved the villa! It was very comfortable with all the amenities and lots of little extras (beach towels, games, hammock...). The location was great: in a quiet neighborhood and close to a beautiful beach. Jeanine, the on-site manager, was very helpful and responsive.

The property was clean and spacious and had everything we needed for our family holiday.
The bedrooms were really comfortable and plenty of storage and a great dressing area with large mirrors. The kitchen was well equipped and handy to have cool boxes for the beach. We really enjoyed sitting on the terrace and the girls loved chilling in the hammock. The lounge area was really comfortable too and nicely layed out.
Porters Court is a lovely well kept small
Development, our family really enjoyed the villa and the shared pool. We loved our time in Barbados and will definitely look to come again in the future. All the information given from Caroline before we travelled was really useful and we were well looked after by Jeanine who organised our transfers and did a food shop before we arrived. Also Karen who came in to clean the property during our stay was delightful. For us it was so much better than staying in a hotel, we would be very happy to stay again at Number 1 Porters Court.

Beautiful villa in a wonderful country!
We loved our stay at Number 1 Porters Court. We stayed for 12 days over May half term. We found the villa spacious and well equipped, perfect for a family of 4. Most mornings started with a swim in the communal pool, with the surrounding gardens a haven for hummingbirds, one morning I counted 5!!
The location of the villa was perfect, 5 mins walk to Alleynes beach which in my opinion is the best on the west coast. We used the local buses a lot so didn't feel the need to hire a car.
We ate out at Lone Star and Santi which were both within walking distance from the villa, on other occasions we jumped on a bus to Holetown. We also ate in a few evenings as the kitchen was so well equipped. Every possible utensil was provided.
Jeanine was very helpful and helped with transfers to and from the airport. Karen the housekeeper visited twice a week and was very friendly and efficient.
All in all a fabulous holiday in Barbados, this was our third visit to this wonderful country and will be back again next year. We'd definitely love to stay at Number 1 Porters Court again!!

A perfect Christmas.
We have recently returned from a wonderful 9 day stay at One Porters Court. The villa is beautiful and extremely well equipped. The location is perfect, a short walk to the beach and local restaurants/beach bars. Lone Star was a Christmas eve treat and lived up to all of our expectations. We arrived to an spotlessly clean villa, and Jeanine the property manager was very helpful. Thank you Caroline for your prompt responses during the booking process. We fell in love with Barbados, and would love to return to One Porters.

A little piece of paradise on earth
We cannot praise 1, Porters Court highly enough. From the moment we arrived we were impressed with the beautiful, tranquil location and the light, airy and spacious villa. The decor was very restful with tasteful, high quality furnishings and was a real home from home. The villa was very clean, no doubt thanks to Karen the lovely housekeeper who visited twice a week. Every little thing had been catered for including the provision of toilet roll and beach towels and it was great to have a welcome pack of groceries on our arrival. Air conditioning and fans ensured the interior of the villa remained lovely and cool even when it was very hot and humid outside so sleeping was never a problem and the beds were extremely comfortable. The veranda was a favourite place to sit to have our breakfast and pre- dinner drinks in the evenings. Surrounded by beautiful, tropical gardens and lots of wildlife including lizards and humming birds there was always something interesting to watch. We even saw a family of monkeys one day feeding under the trees! The communal pool is beautifully kept with sun beds and umbrellas and surrounded by lovely gardens. Although the property is next to a busy road we didn't notice any traffic noise and the beautiful beach is 5 minutes walk away. There are a number of good restaurants and rum shacks nearby and Holetown is a 20 minute walk if you need a supermarket, ATM or bigger choice of restaurants. If it's too hot to walk the local buses run straight past Porters Court. We would definitely recommend this property to others and would love to stay there again if we return to Barbados in the future.

An exceptional villa and so beautifully furnished.
This villa is exceptional and the surroundings with the lush exotic garden so lovely. It is in a quiet secluded location, close to the private pool and very handy to the beach, just a short walk away. Within minutes to a number of vey good restaurants. The villa is well equipped and the beds deserve a special mention as they were very comfortable. The property manager Jeanine was very helpful and friendly as was housekeeper Karen. Both very warm and welcoming and willing to help in any way. A terrific and memorable holiday!

Wonderful holiday accommodation
We had a wonderful time at No. 1 Porters Court, the villa was exceptionally well-equipped, spotlessly clean (thanks to the lovely maid, Karen) and comfortable.
A great location on the West Coast, a short walk from the beach. The pool was beautiful, very clean, and mostly we had it to ourselves, which was an unexpected treat!
The location of No. 1 is perfect as it is at the end of the private road within Porters, and so nobody passes by and it is the most private of all the 8 villas within the development.
We had a very enjoyable and extremely memorable holiday - our 3 girls (aged 6, 8 and 11) were extremely comfortable in their spacious bedroom and loved Barbados !
Recommend "Lone Star" for a special dinner (went on our daughter's 11th birthday), also Harrison's Cave, Animal Flower Cave, and Earthworks Pottery which has a beautiful (and very reasonable) treetop restaurant.

A lovely comfortable base in Barbados
The villa was beautifully furnished and very comfortable. Ideal for two couples with two en-suites and an outside sitting/eating area. The location of No1 is quiet and tucked away and our only company were lizards, birds and toads!
The property was immaculately clean and Keri-Ann came in 3 times during our 9 night stay to change our linen. The villa is ideally located for the West Coast and is a short drive or bus ride from Holetown or Speightstown. The nearest beach is fabulous (Alleynes Bay) with two bar restaurants (Ju-Ju's and Santi who have fantastic sunbeds for hire at BDS$15)
We can highly recommend this property for a West Coast based holiday.

Perfect destintion
We are return visitors and that ought to say a lot. Caroline has made Number 1 even better with new verandah furniture, more luscious garden, a wider car port - but has kept the whole flavour relaxing. Keri-Ann, the housekeeper is still the most attentive of housekeepers with detail and perfection at the top of hers and Caroline's list. Locally the beach, which is really only 2 minutes walk away will not disappoint, the Massy supermarket in Holetown is well stocked, restaurants vary in price but all are really good from the Lone Star to our new favourite Pepenero. I would honestly defy anyone to find a way to stay stressed when Number 1 is their Bajan based.

A fantastic place to stay in Barbados!
The four of us (2 couples) spent 3 weeks here in March. This is the 5th time that the four of us have stayed here at 1 and we’ve booked again for next year. Even though we are returning guests we were still greeted by Sandra from the managing agents to ensure that everything is in order and to show us around the villa. There is a good folder explaining everything that you need to know and light switches are clearly labeled.
It’s in a superb location for the beach (a few minutes walk) and a great base to explore the island by car. The villa is in a quiet complex, is well equipped and is kept spotlessly clean by Keri-Ann.
The local buses are great value for short journeys but can get quite crowded.
It’s become our second home to enjoy some winter sunshine, we return year after year, so what more is there to say. Can’t wait for 2016.

So relaxing, you'll want to go again!
We stayed at Porters Court for 3 weeks in November 2014. This was the second stay at No.1 for the 4 of us (2 married couples) and hopefully it won't be our last. If you are looking for a truly relaxing holiday, this is for you. Because it is such a small complex, the pool was never busy, in fact most days we felt as though it was our own private pool. We also understand that the whole pool area is about to be updated, so will be interested to see how they improve it. No.1 has recently changed hands and we see from photographs taken of the property since our visit, that the new owners Caroline and Ian have already put their personal touch on the property with lovely new soft furnishings. Sandra, who worked for the local managing agents, looked after us so well. Nothing was too much trouble. We only had to mention small problems and they were sorted within hours. She is a great character and always so cheerful and obviously very experienced in this field. Keri-Ann, the cleaner, kept the place spotless and was always so pleasant and helpful, to the extent that when it was raining heavily one day, she drove us to the restaurant we had booked for my husband's birthday and then picked us up later - that's real service! There is nothing that I can think of that No.1 doesn't provide. It's like home from home, everything you use at home, you will find there. The 2 spacious en suite bedrooms were ideal for us, with plenty of space in the living areas so that we never felt we were falling over each other. There are plenty of top quality restaurants within a short bus ride, not to mention a selection of beaçh cafe/restaurants within a short walking distance.
Over all, although after the first week we thought we had probably 'done' Barbados, by the end of the holiday we were all talking of going back, so what better recommendation.

Perfect paradise home!
This wasn't our first time at number 1, and it definitely won't be our last! The villa is magnificent, elegantly furnished and with a superbly equipped kitchen. We love to cook and there was no feeling, as there often is in rental properties, that the owners had locked away all the "good stuff." Top quality pans and decent knives, three solid chopping boards, (one of the bigger ones doubled as a second tray!) and basic "fixings" like salt, pepper, chilli, coffee etc. The beds made up as a super king are fabulously comfy and the base sheet is actually are big enough to tuck in around 2 x single mattresses, so no waking up being hog-tied by loosened sheets wrapping themselves around your ankles...are you listening Marriott, Hilton, Sheraton and all you other "fancy" hotel groups?! Keri Ann is a magnificent housekeeper. She keeps the villa spotless and welcoming. Sandra, the manager from West Coast Villas, always checks that all is well and reacted promptly when the ceiling fan on the verandah went wonky. Fixed within 3 hours of reporting the fault, and that's impressive for such a laid-back island!
For eating out, we love to "do lunch" when it's not as humid as in the evening. We used to love lunch at the "Tides," but they no longer open for lunch in the "off" season, i.e. any time between May and November. "Cin Cin," "Champers" in Hastings, and "The Fishpot" at Little Good Harbour are our favourites. We advise calling ahead if you'd like a table near the rail by the sea at any of these restaurants. "Just Grillin'" by Sunset Crest is good for food and very relaxed and informal, as is the Beach House opposite.
Caroline and Ian, the new owners of the villa, have recently freshened up the decor and soft furnishings, but the excellent facilities haven't changed.
We thoroughly recommend #1 and the fabulous kitchen may well save you a fortune on eating out!

We stayed at Number One Porters Court from July 7 to July 20 2013 and loved it! The house is beautifully furnished with everything I could ever need-just like home. Very clean, lots of closet space and very very comfortable beds-no skimping here! Books full of info on what to do, where to eat, shop etc...a pleasure to be there. Nice one level living with a beautiful veranda surrounded by nice tropical plants. Private but not if you want to mingle with others. Great time walking around area meeting locals and "yellow" "fun" buses to everywhere was a great choice-very easy from the house location to get around. Very Helpful keri-Ann, and Sandy of West Coast Villas (she set up all our tours) is an added bonus.
We have rented privately before and it has never been this easy. Everything from start to finish went smooth. We appreciate the availability of getting a starter food pack and transport arrangements + all the info sheets around the house and everything being clearly labelled, ie light switches, etc. Its the little things that matter!

This holiday villa has thought of everything, we keep coming back and each time we extend our stay - next year 4 weeks! Close to everything yet tucked away to be peaceful when needed. Wonderful staff, sparkling clean, so much to see and do or chill on the beach outside Ju Jus with a cool drink. Recommend it to anyone for the perfect Caribbean holiday.
