Unser Traumurlaub direkt am Meer in einer individuellen, historischen Casa - wir kommen wieder!

Für uns die mit Abstand beste Lage auf Lanzarote. Direkt am Meer. Wir hatten die beiden Apartments mit Meerblick, mit den Fenstern zur Terrasse. Tag und Nacht hört man die wilde Brandung unterhalb der Terrasse, ein Traum. Wir mochten auch das historische Gebäude und die dazu passende Einrichtung, sehr schön. Der Kontakt mit den Vermietern war easy, das ein- auschecken auch. Insgesamt ist die Unterkunft sehr privat, intim und ruhig. Genau das haben wir genossen. Man braucht dort aber einen Mietwagen, um zu größeren Supermärkten, mehr Restaurants, Shops, Märkten und Sehenswürdigkeiten zu gelangen. Auch das Autofahren ist sehr entspannt auf Lanzarote.

Marvelous place to stay in El Golfo

This is a very nice boutique hotel in an old renovated house right next to the ocean, build on the rocks. The renovation and decoration of the rooms was done with great taste by the owners. The whole place breathes charm and peace. Also the kitchen in the room not only provided in all the necesary kitchenware, the owners also had put together a welcoming food package with some snacks, olives, and even a bottle of local wine, so nice!!! The hotel has a great spaceous open air terrace where you can spend the whole day reading and relaxing in the sun. At low tide, you can descend from the terrace to the ocean, and enjoy a natural private swimming pool in the sea in between the rocks, this is soooo cool!!! Also the terrace is perfect to enjoy the magnificent sunset. The hotel is convenietly located to explore El Golfo and the nearby area of the National Park, however you do need a car to get there. Other then relaxing in El Golfo, enjoying the many great fish restaurants, and making beatiful hikes in the National Park, the place is quite remote, but for us this was perfect :-) We highly recommend this place and hope to get back ourselves one day...

Beautiful location.

Supurb locaton. Comfortable room with kitchen and bathroom. Exceptional patio from which to watch the wild sea crashing on the rocks. Though there are 5 apartments here, there is a lot of communal space and often you have it to yourself.

Sink plug in the bathroom didnt work. The fridge door bracket was broken, so you couldn't put bottles in the door as they fell out. The light over the cooker was broken.

A truly beautiful place. if you want peace and tranquility.

location was stunning. the view of the ocean and sunset would be hard to beat, anywhere in the world.

The location of course. you feel far away from the tourist areas of playa Blanca. such a peaceful place.

Superb

We already came here twice and we will come back again. The terrace is in front of the sea the house has all you need in the small village of El Golfo. It is ideal if you want to relax far from the crowd. Nearby there are also good restaurants to have some fresh fish. Driving does not take to long to do to Yaiza, la Geria or Playa blanca. Parking is not a problem, owner is very reactive and nice.

It is an old family sea house renewed, so it is "rural" and might not be fore everybody (e.g. if you want a luxurious place).

Amazing

El Golfo, as many other reviews have remarked, is a truly beautiful area. This property was utterly delightful. Excellent location, charming decor, great outdoor space, and well equipped. would definitely recommend staying here.

Most of all, the location in front of the ocean (you can hear the waves at night) and the terrasse where you can see the best sunset of the island

The room is not very dark. Early in the morning you might be awaked by the day lights.

Lovely little village & nice sea food restaurants a specially Costa Azul

The location of the property & the terrace that had a small small that overlooked the sea.

Took a while to get hot water in the shower & tended to flood. Having to put toilet paper in a bin & not having any replacement bin bags. Drains smelt quite a lot so had to keep window closed & air conditioner didn’t work very well.

An amazing stay in a beautiful place !

It is perfectly located. The roads make it very accessible to visit the whole Island. The view is breathtaking, and the flat has everything you need even to cook. Andres is very available. We had an amazing time !

The studio is outside of the terrasse so you always need the key, and we only had one key, it would be better to have two. We would recommend to redo the joints of the shower to avoid water flooding the bathroom. Just a bit of information the restaurants in the village close around 9:30 pm so remember to plan an early evening :)

Ideal location for peace and quiet. Situated in a small costal village a choice of restaurants.

Breakfast not included . Location was perfect as a base to explore the island . Hire car a must .

A great location in El Golfo

The apartment is set in a great location right on the seafront in the village of El Golfo. The large shared terrace (there is plenty of space)overlooks the sea and we enjoyed sitting there watching the waves crashing in and the sunsets right in front of us. El Golfo is a world away from the main resorts, close to Timanfaya National Park, we loved it there. There are plenty of restaurants which are busy during the day but quieter in the evenings. The apartment was nicely decorated and had everything we needed. Andres was a very good host and gave us some helpful tips. He was always available if we needed anything. This is a great place to stay. Highly recommended.

The wi fi stopped working while we were there but this was no fault of the property. It affected the whole local area. Nothing else.

A beautiful, tidy accommodation in a breathtaking oceanfront setting

The Calenton is located in, as far as we are concerned, the most beautiful area of Lanzarote. From the terrace you have a beautiful view on the ocean and the dramatic lava rocks. On arrival, we were warmly welcomed by Andres and given an extensive tour of the property, which has been owned by his family for over a hundred years. Although Andres was not physically present in the accommodation, he was always very easily accessible and responsive.

The bed was a little on the smaller side.

The location was exceptional -- not crowded and just on a tip of the National park. You could stare at the ocean in peace for hours. If peace and quiet are what you are after, this place is for you. the hosts were very helpful and kind. Just remember to take a jumper, evenings are windy!

Not worth it if you get the room that is literally in the parking. Room has low ventilation , humid and has no charm.
