The restaurant is really excellent. Fairly expensive but excellent.
The room is decorated with classic English 1980s council house smallest bedroom style.
Freely arranged unironed sheets compliment the other primark items furniture. That all said Booking got a cheap deal for me travelling alone so what else could one expect.

it’s a lovely old looking place , the rooms are modern and well equipped. they very kindly upgraded us to a superior room which was beautiful.
sadly the only thing I’m not keen on is that some rooms are away from main building BUT in a way it’s kind of good because there is no noise whatsoever.

Beautiful hotel, pleasant walk from Ouistreham car ferry. The staff were super friendly and relaxed.
Nothing

Location …. Pegasus bridge.
I found the staff distant, and if I am honest, a little distrusting. Continually wanted payment up front rather than putting items onto the room :-/. This is not how it is done !!!

Breakfast was excellent, very good quality products
8.0
Easy to find, friendly welcome, we only stayed 1 night, everything was good.
9.0
Clean, it looked like it being recently refurbished. You can see Pegasus bridge from the front door and the ferry port is 10 minutes away.
The restaurant is good but expensive, we only ate there once

Excellent breakfast. Especially appreciated the freshly squeezed orange juice

The room was very comfortable, quiet and well equipped. The restaurant offered a good choice for dinner with a comprehensive wine list and the prices were reasonable too. The location was great - only a few minutes drive from the ferry port in Caen.

Location, rooms, breakfast
No longer a kettle and beverages in room, shower very hot or cold. Otherwise good.

not a lot
it was a Sunday, I specifically booked it as fairly near the ferry and it had a restaurant, but of course being a Sunday the restaurant was closed.
we gad a superior room but you couldn’t swing a car.

Great food in the restaurant. The room was fine. Comfortable beds, hot shower and clean. Reasonable price.
No tea/coffee facility in the room. Towels, although clean, were not soft. Minor stuff really.

Excellent
How can you improve on excellence although couldn’t find the hotel which was entirely my fault!

room was excellent, as was the special price.
restaurant prices are extremely expensive for a meal on an overnight stop. 66 euros or 49 with supplements pp

Pleasant comfortable room with a good shower
Superb restaurant with delicious food
Nice staff
Good breakfast choices
The staff we nice but not very chatty they did their job
It would be nice if they had eggs for breakfast and cold milk for cereal and tea

Check in was good. Room smallish but adequate for a one night stay and ideal for getting to the ferry in the morning. The Restaurant food was good tho' on a cold evening the dining room needed more heating.
Dining room temp too low on a cold evening. Room cold on arrival bur warmed up when electric heating switched in.

We have stayed at La Glycine before . Previously we had a superior room which was indeed to superior to a standard room. We woudl have preferred a superior but the hotel advised all such rooms were fully booked.
Yet again the towels are old and tatty

Breakfast was excellent - dinner was exceptional. Friendly and helpful staff.
Would have preferred a proper shower in my room rather than bath with hand held shower.

The restaurant quality was very good. Easy parking.

Budget room was value for money. It would have helped to know that there was a window shutter which could have closed out the outdoor light which disturbed sleep. The car park was safe and enclosed. Dinner was offered when we arrived. The receptionist spoke English which was better than my French.
The restaurant service was poor, it too a long time to be served after our aperitif. The menu was not not clear and there was no available definition of either the entree of the day or the main course of the day for the the fixed price menu de marche. The waitress was uncommunicative and therefore not helpful. We managed to get her smile once eventually. The food was good in taste and portion size as was the house wine.

convenient for ferry ,sociable staff . Excellent food . They even provided a bowl of water for my Labrador at the table !
The service was quite slow but the staff were pleasant.

Location to ferry and the area is great all round for cycling and interesting places to visit.

We were able to park in the car park.
The restaurant was fully booked when we arrived, so we weren't able to have dinner at the hotel which was what we'd looked forward to (and what we had done the last time we stayed there in June 2022). If we'd known we could have booked in advance we definitely would have done so.

Very close to ferry port. Exceptional restaurant.
Did not get the room we had booked. No milk, only one tea bag in a room in a room for two. Room not very well made up.
Not as good as previous visits.
Cannot understand why the waiter had never heard of Muscat de beaumes de Venise . A dessert wine we have had on several previous visits.

The rooms were clean and comfortable after a very long journey and ahead of an early start for ferry. Plenty of parking spaces.
The location is pretty but very small and quiet. The hotel restaurant was fully booked and the nearest alternatives were a short drive away, not a problem usually but after a 5hr drive that day we had hoped to just stop :) Just something for other travellers doing similar to bear in mind.

pretty little hotel in convenient location. the restaurant serves good traditional French food at a reasonable price.
rooms are basic but clean and comfortable.

Location
Small room, couldn't get any hot water, shower wasn't working properly, waste baskets in room and bathroom hadn't been emptied. Not convinced that the bed linen was fresh. Very disappointing
