Very happy with our stay
The breakfast was a bit boring, no orange juice, only boiled eggs and the same for 3 days. The beautiful pool area was only open from 10-6 so we hardly made use of it as we were out during that time. We thought it would be open in the evenings and mornings too.

The hotel is beautiful, the pool, rooms and facilities are superb. The staff are amazing and made us feel so welcome. The staff worked so hard to make sure we were happy. A huge thank you to Sebastian who really looked after us and made our holiday so lovely. We were sad to leave and will definitely be back in the future!
Nothing, everything was perfect.

The staff are excellent- very friendly and helpful. Top marks to Novella, Sebastiano, Paolo, Salvo and Giuseppe. They did everything they could to make our stay enjoyable.
The pool is very nice, as are the gardens.
The views from our balcony were nice.
The food was good.
You definitely need your own car (we didn't have one) as the access to places around is poor.
There seem to be no real taxi drivers in Avola, so tourists are a the mercy of 'drivers' who don't use a meter. Therefore, they are very expensive.
The roads around the hotel are extremely dangerous, as people drive like maniacs. You can cycle, but you have to be very careful. The road from the hotel to the town has no pavement for pedestrians. In short, pedestrians and cyclists are disregarded.
The pool needs to be a bit better monitored. Small children shouldn't be in the pool by themselves and kids shouldn't be allowed to make the environment unpleasant for everyone else.

The staff were lovely. Very helpful and polite.
The pizza in the snack bar was excellent.
The young man on reception was brilliant. Spoke excellent English .
Beach, once we found it , was beautiful but far away.
Bad location. Too far to walk to a beach or a town . There was no local bar or restaurants. without driving or a long dark walk on the side of a road with no path or walkway where they drive like maniacs. Hotel restaurant was very basic . Pool bar never opened while we were there.

The staff was incredible, especially Sebastiano and Novella! They made our stay a pleasant 10/10. They helped us with everything we requested and more. For people like us, who can’t understand Italian and are unfamiliar with the area, they managed to help us around a lot with their personal recommendations with things to do and places to go, in English. They were also very hospitable and kind. They were always happy to help or just up for a good casual conversation of the day. They excel in their guest service.
The hotel’s room cleaning routines were once per day, so our room always felt fresh. And their AC is powerful enough to make the room cool even on the hottest of days in Avola.
This hotel offers both breakfast, lunch and dinner, and we tried all of them. At breakfast, they offer the basics such as different breads, yoghurt, fruits and juice flavours to choose from. Somedays, they make more special dishes such as pie. Their lunch and dinner menu offers a wide range of pizza, panini and pasta. If you’d like, don’t hesitate to ask to have your food at their beautiful swimming pool!
To end this review I want to say that we can’t wait to return to Grand Hotel Paclà. And when we do, we will bring a car, for sure.
Thank you Sebastiano and Novella, and the rest of the GHP staff, for having us as your guests for this time. We left you yesterday, and we already miss you!
On our stay here, we didn’t have a driving license, meaning we couldn’t rent a car to get around with. This lead us to be very dependent on different transportation services. Thankfully, Sebastiano had a great taxi contact who helped us from and to the airport and towns we wanted to visit. They even drove us up and down the mountains when we went to visit beautiful Laghetti di Cavagrande! We also tried the train and bus services. They work, but they’re not available as often as you’d probably like. We also rented bikes for all the days we were there so we could get around more easily, from a place Novella recommended. The hotel’s location is a bit tricky to get to if you don’t have a car, as there’s only one driveway you can take I you want to get into town. So either rent a car or bring your own if you wish to come here. It will make your stay much easier. But again, if a car isn’t a current option, it’s still possible to get around without a car as well, just a bit more demanding. I mean, we managed to do it, and it was worth it for the memorable experience we had there.

The staff were exceptional. Everyone was very friendly and helpful and gave us lots of useful information and advice. The room was spacious
The shower was hand held inside the bath, no fixing to the wall.

We stayed there almost a week, loved the location and the staff were super friendly. The only problem was internet, as soon as I talked to the owner about the weak and sometimes lack of connection he tried his best to resolve it bus still it was too slow for who works through Internet. The rest was perfect, Highly recommended.

The staff were very helpful and kind which made our stay nice.
The facilities however are better in photos than in real life. Our balcony wall was quite broken and the furniture in the rooms are minimal.
We assume that after Covid it has been difficult to maintain the place but it wasn’t worth the money we paid for it.

Both the room and the bathroom were very spacious and there was a balcony with sea views, which was lovely.
The parking was very convenient.
The TV was miniscule and very limited, the decor a bit functional, but on the whole the room was very comfortable.

The swimming pool gives a great atmosphere to the hotel.
The room was spacious and very clean.
The staff, specially Sebastiano was very helpful and kind. Gave us a lot of good tips to where to go and see around the city.
The location is a bit far if you don’t have a car but from the hotel to the beach and restaurants is just about 20 min walking distance.
