The room had a panoramic ocean view but there is a tacky resort hotel in front obstacles the nice atmosphere.
I don’t know why this hotel got high rated.. The room smelled cigarette and musty. We had no Tanzen in our room so that asked to bring it just before going to the Onsen bath. We had to wait too long so that we went to the reception to get it. In the restaurant, despite that there are empty tables by the window facing the ocean, our table were in the small room with no windows. The staff said that these tables were reserved. But the customers who looked local people appeared very late after the dark. The table layout should be considered. The staff at reception and restaurant were not very professional. Only one staff at checkout was kind. We had to pay nearly 50,000yen per night including a child for such poor quality of service that frustrated me.

The staff at the hotel are amazing. The hotel offers free shuttle to/from the closest Mikawa-Miya station and also to/from Lagunaire Ten Bosch. We enjoyed the hotspring facilities and the scrumptious Japanese breakfast. The hotel is also close to a beach where we spent hours exploring the many marine creatures there. This destination was such a relaxing get-away from the bustling cities.
Everything was great, maybe just a few cobwebs in some areas.

Accessible. It is near the beach. The ambiance and view is good. The futon is clean and comfortable. The room is spacious. The shampoo was great. Value for money. FREE shuttle service to either the train station or Laguna Ten Bosch ❤
The breakfast is Japanese style breakfast. It was luxurious, it was beautiful, the taste was good but it somehow did not make us feel full. As a foreigner it was just so so but I still recommend it if you wanna try the full ryokan experience. The outdoor onsen was relatively small. No wifi available in the room😅

It was great to have a sea view and the space in our room to relax. The first night there was a beautiful sunset.
There were restaurants (see food photos) and convenience stores within half an hour or so on foot, but this got a bit tiring in the heat. The room was cool and quiet.
The onsen was clean and enjoyable - I normally don't go but went a couple of times and my wife went more often.
One day we walked to the shrines on the nearby island (Takeshima - see photos) and back - we were exhausted!
There was a free transfer to the train station at the end of the stay. We had the "morning set" breakfast at the Komeda's Coffee a couple of minutes' walk from the station before returning home.
We used to like sleeping on futon but even with double futon (one on top of another) we found them uncomfortable after about 8 hours. We had to walk up a steep road to get to the hotel and it was not clear at first how to get there at all, but we got used to it (we don't have a car and avoid paying for taxis!)
