The guest house was immaculately presented, well laid out with a nice lounge area and balcony for evening relaxing. Gorgeous views from every window, manicured grounds with established shrubs. Our room was large with an ensuite and plenty of storage for belongings. The host's were very friendly and a wealth of local knowledge. Breakfast was well cooked, nicely presented, and very filling. Nothing was too much for them. Paul is a keen photographer with prints available to purchase...which I did! Lovely village location, off street parking. Numerous local pubs within a short walking distance for an evening meal. Highly recommend.

The location. The view from the room. Comfortable and spacious room. Great breakfast. Friendly and helpful hosts. Very well organised.

If the window was open, the road noise was quite loud. But we expected/understood this, as one of the reasons for choosing this guesthouse, was for it's easy access from the main link road to Keswick.

The hosts Phil and Helen are excellent and keep the place looking beautiful inside and out. Breakfast was delicious each morning with Phil always giving helpful travel advice. Short walk into village for places to eat and bus stop out the front to travel into Keswick. The room was refreshed each day and bathroom cleaned.

The room was very small and matress not very comfortable, also because we stayed in front room downstairs we were subjected to road noise from the busy A66 which runs very close to the house and also the floor boards creaked from the room upstairs whenever anyone walked around.

A lovely guest house run by Phil and Helen, who made us feel extremely welcome. The place is immaculate, clean and well kept. I particularly liked the range of hot drinks available in the bedroom and noted that fresh milk was available if preferred, but the couple have gone out of their way to try and ensure guests have a good stay, like the sunny area to sit outside and book swap. The guest house is situated in a fabulous location (beautiful view from our window) to see the amazing scenery and sights around. Plenty of choice at breakfast and good quality sausages & bacon too! We enjoyed talking to other guests and it was nice to gain Phil's advice on what to see, parking etc. The guest house has the most incredible photos from the area on the walls, which were taken by Phil. We even bought one! A really fabulous stay, which we really enjoyed.

The Breakfast was fantastic, the presentation, quality and service was exceptional would definitely recommend the full English Breakfast. A wide selection of different options were available. Phil and Helen were lovely very welcoming.

The host was very helpful and breakfast filled us up for the day. rooms were comfortable and free parking provided.

Be aware that it is not in Keswick, which requires a drive or 2 mile walk. we didn’t mind the walk, but others might be affected by location.

The accommodation was home from home, welcomed warmly by Phil and Helen on arrival. Clean room, great views and centrally located for exploring the Lakes. Delicious breakfast every day and a welcome tea and shortbread on arriving back each day.
