Beautiful location wonderful staff amazing decor and restoration of a Venetian building attention to detail
Downstairs restaurant extremely bad ( same owners as the hotel) restaurant zepos - angry rude staff who expected that we would be happy to eat a meal with rotten slimy lettuce that would induce nausea and vomiting- we were given an explanation that the "lettuce came from Athens and when you cut lettuce it becomes brown like an apple" how such contaminated produce could come from the kitchen to b served to customers is disturbing

The hotel is situated in the heart of all the restaurants and a few steps to the shops.
Service was exceptional and the breakfast was amazing. I highly recommend it to anyone travelling to Chania.

It's an excellent location if you want to walk the harbor and the old town of Chania. The area is very picturesque and there are several museums in the area. Shopping and many restaurants are just right outside the hotel. We had a fantastic room overlooking the old harbor and although it was noisy at night, closing the window and the blackout blinds did the trick. We slept very well and I am a light sleeper. Breakfast is far above the normal buffet food, this is immediately apparent when a staffer hands you an actual menu. And the pastry/bread tray the server brings for your table is loaded with fresh croissants, bread, smoothies, and orange juice. The front staff was very helpful in getting us a car for one day, and an excursion to Elafonisi beach. Outstanding all around.
Really there was nothing to dislike about Domus Renier.

Cutest historic boutique hotel. Unreal location in Old town Chania. My husband and I extend our stay with them by two nights because we loved it so much. Very clean, amazing breakfast. Absolutely blissful.

A fantastic location, lovely service and a very high quality hotel that is understated. The room was of a high standard, with a wonderful shower and beautiful view.
If I was being picky the room is a little small (but big enough to store all of our travel bits and pieces) but the view and location more than compensates. The breakfast was lovely but becomes just a little limited if you're staying over a few days (maybe rotate the menu with some 'specials'?)

The staff were exceptional. Our suite was quirky, spacious and clean, with a pleasant private courtyard. Position of the hotel was excellent.
There were few clothes storage facilities in the suite. The view from the suite was onto a narrow lane, affording little privacy.

I loved the staff. They were so helpful and kind the entire time.
The wi-fi was terrible. I had to turn it off and use my data plan to get anything done.

Out of our 3 week honeymoon in Greece, this was one of our favorite stays. Location was amazing, super convenient for walking around. Quaint boutique hotel with only a handful of rooms. That said, the room was beautiful designed, and it was the perfect mixture of modern aesthetic, while retaining a classic charm. They restored a lot of the elements that made the building beautiful and historic. You really feel the history when you enter. The reception/concierge was AMAZING. In fact, I would say they are super human as it seems like they wore a lot of hats (even saw them taking orders for breakfast and making coffee). One of the best parts was meeting the owner of the hotel/restaurant. She was delighted to hear my feedback, and even bought my wife and I coffee and water bottles when she heard we were headed to the beach (we switched beaches after hearing her recommendations). 10/10, would 100% stay here again. I even recommended to several of my friends who are planning trips to Crete
Getting there was a disaster. We weren't notified that there are not any roads that lead directly to the hotel, so we drove around in a panic until we called the hotel. The hotel itself is a 5 minute walk from the closest drivable road, which is not very convenient, especially if you have a lot of luggage. That said, the concierge was very helpful, and since this is out of their control, I cant be mad!

Lovely , architecturally beautiful with the use of natural wood and beautiful finishes. Great sheets, comfy bed. Outdoor window shutters , blackout shades and soft Roman shades provide a wonderful sleep. Very Nice breakfast choices, location and excellent attentive staff. Special boutique hotel, highly recommend.
