About this house rental
Beautiful light filled 2 story duplex just steps from Lake Bde Mka Ska (Lake Calhoun) and vibrant Uptown. Rated as one of the top most walkable neighborhoods in Minneapolis, yet minutes from downtown, Mall of America, US Bank Stadium, University of Minnesota and the Convention Center. With a city bicycle rental station down the street, you can enjoy 51 miles of paved trails that wrap around lakes and parks. Uptown, Downtown, Lake Calhoun.
Our duplex has a 3BR apartment on the 1st floor and a 4BR apartment on the 2nd floor. It's perfect for large families, family reunions, wedding guests or any other large gathering. Once inside the front door, you can easily move between both apartments yet each has it's own kitchen, bathroom and living area. It has a seasonal view of Lake Calhoun and it's located on a quiet residential street. It's light and airy with hardwood floors throughout.
The 7 bedrooms each have a queen size bed, and one of the bedrooms also has a twin pull out bed. All the bedrooms have window air conditioners.
Both kitchens have updated appliances including dishwashers and are stocked with all your cooking essentials. There's a free washer and dryer available for your use in the basement laundry room.

Fast wifi.
Two Flat screen TVs featuring Sling TV and Roku (which you can use to access your own streaming services, ie. Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, etc)
Plenty of on street parking available.
There is a security camera on the exterior of the house to deter package thieves and vandalism. There are no interior recording devices.

We chose this property to accommodate my cousins from Ohio, Wisconsin, Oregon and California. the location was fabulous and the house was wonderfully accommodating for all of us. We walked to the lake daily,kayaked, and enjoyed all the amenities that Minneapolis has to offer. We will do this again.

We had a delightful stay at this property. Liz is simply unbelievable. She is a great communicator, well organized, and accommodating. This property is exactly as described and is an ideal location near the lakes and other attractions. It was perfect for our family get together and we hope to use it again in the future. it really could not have been better.

This was our second time staying at this property. We had a large family group (teens to senior citizens) and the two floors gave everyone places to congregate or get away from each other as needed. The property is spotless, beds are very comfortable. The kitchens are well set up for a rental property. The house is only a couple blocks to the walking path around the lake, which is such a nice benefit. We’d absolutely stay here again!!

Stayed here for a family wedding. It was in the perfect location. Within walking to restaurant and stores. We were provided with everything we needed! The house itself was beautiful and the decor was lovely. Definitely would stay again!

The house is charming and spacious. A perfect layout for our group’s needs. The property manager is easy to work with. Check-in and check-out were a breeze. You can’t go wrong in making this your temporary Minnesota home.

We hosted several family members and friends for our daughter’s wedding and this was a wonderful location and great accommodation. Everyone had plenty of space, comfortable beds and space to be together.

We were in town for a long weekend to attend a wedding. This property was perfect for multiple families to stay together while being conveniently located to all of our activities. The downstairs bedrooms were perfect for the adults/parents and the pullout in one of the bedrooms made it easy to keep the youngest child (4 years) with their parents. The upstairs bedrooms were perfect for the adult children and teens to have privacy. And the “feel” of the property was comfortable and homey. We loved the obvious history of the home!
The location was wonderful. There is a coffee shop a block away that we visited often and the neighborhood made it easy to take walks with the younger members of the group. There is plenty of street parking, which made it easy for other family members to come and “hang out”. The furniture was comfortable and very conducive to gathering and catching up - it was very easy to have both small and large group conversations. There are helpful notes positioned throughout the home to decrease any anxiety about how to work anything.
The only (minor for us) downside is that there are only 2 bathrooms for the house. This required a bit of logistical planning, but nothing that was insurmountable. And when showers had to occur back-to-back, the moisture buildup in the bathrooms was noticeable. You just had to run the fan and leave the door open for a period of time after each use. Each bedroom received 2 bath towels/hand towels/washcloths, so just be prepared if you require more.
The property manager communicated just enough to provide information and check on you without being intrusive. We had zero issues during our stay and would definitely stay here again.

With that charm comes small kitchens and creaking hardwood floors, which didn’t bother our group. The neighborhood has a great vibe and is close the coffee shops and the lake. Loved taking an afternoon walk around the lake. Only negative is that the inside temp was too cool for us (our group was from Texas, Colorado and Utah) and we never did figure out how to turn up the heat or turn off the AC. Would stay again if we could figure out how to control the temp.

Family Reunion
We had a mini reunion and loved being with family. Enjoyed most of the VRBO but should not have had to ask for an allowance of more than one towel and one washcloth and 1/2 of a hand towel per person for a three night stay. Never did get the wash cloths we requested but made do with what we brought with us. Whoever heard of using the same wash cloth multiple times! What’s up with that????

Perfection!
The house is wonderful. Two apartments that can either be separated or joined together. Multiple washers and dryers. Excellent location and beautiful architecture and neighborhood. The host, Liz, is awesome and is very accommodating and excellent at communication. I highly recommend this house!

Booked the house for our family for a football weekend. 4 couples and 4 kids. Was wonderfully suited. An older house with interesting details, impeccably maintained, tastefully decorated and stocked with everything we needed in bath, bedroom and kitchen(s).
Communication with Liz was efficient and quick. We highly recommend.

Great getaway in a great location!
Our family of 9 stayed on both levels and found that we had ample space in this beautiful home! The owner was very responsive to the questions that we had. The location near the lake is amazing! We always had parking spaces.

Beautiful apartment and great location
Lovely neighborhood, lovely building and very responsive hostess. Lots to do and see within walking distance. The bathrooms are smaller but adequate. The downstairs kitchen doesn't have enough space for a family of cooks but everything else was wonderful. I would stay there again.

Great place! The house is clean and comfortable and the neighborhood feels very safe.
We stayed in this house with the management team of my small business to have our planning session. It worked out great! Plenty of rooms ( we had 6 people) and no problem with the bathrooms. We were able to sit around the dining table and meet, and use the smart tv to hook our laptop to for a screen. Many restaurants were within walking distance for dinner and it was nice to have a kitchen for breakfast and lunch. I would do this again!

Great Property
We held our family Christmas here, it was a wonderful gathering place. Cozy, clean, and fully stocked. Plenty of beds for everyone. 1 block walk to the lake where kids found a playground and a nice trail to hike around the lake (and a beach to swim if it was summer!) Easy drive to fun uptown shops and restaurants. Liz was very responsive and accommodating. A great experience!

Amazing house in great area
We stayed a family and a group of friends, nine in all on both floors of this house and felt really well taken care of. The house is spacious, carefully decorated and there is everything you need and more. Everything seem to be thought about. Beds are good quality and there is no noise in the neighbourhood which is green and full of all those characteristic individually designed Minnesotan wooden houses that are a joy to look at. The area is really perfect. Short walk to uptown restaurants, different options of grocery shopping, and lake Calhoun for a a great walk, run and other activities. Our host was catering immediately for any question for us and was very helpful with helping us get a favourite toy bear we forgot back. This is clearly people who want to provide the best possible experience for the guests.
