Great part of Edinburgh

I can't speak highly enough of Susan and this rental! The flat was cozy, clean, comfortable, and stocked with everything we might have needed during our trip. Our host Susan was very helpful and communicative. It's also a beautiful location in Dean Village which was very accessible either via walking or transit to everywhere we needed. The perfect rental for a small group, especially if you're in the city for a week or longer!

Great, fully stocked, and very comfortable apartment in the best location in Edinburgh. The host was extremely accommodating and I definitely recommend this location if you’re visiting the city

This was a very clean, comfortable flat in a quiet neighborhood. We were able to walk to most anyplace we wanted go. The walk in the park along the river Leith was delightful. Would recommend highly.

dean village was a very nice part of Edinburgh. we would defiantly stay there again. We are no old to walk the distance to the old town. we ended up taking cabs but were delighted to see how prompt and incredibly reasonable they were. absolutely delighted with our stay. Sincerely, Joan

We loved staying in Dean Village. It was a perfect suite and location for our visit to Edinburgh! The area is stunning and we loved the tranquility. We walked everywhere and only used a cab once. Thank you for the amazing stay!!!

Comfortable, great location. Home away from home.

Great sound proofing, couldn’t hear any neighbours, beds were comfortable. We didn’t use the kitchen but looked like everything you would need was there. Great place for pictures and nice trail walks, not too far from downtown. Parking was a bit stressful, we managed to find a spot each night but definitely was a concern. Overall beautiful place, accurate listing and would highly recommend it.

Totally enjoyed our time at the Fringe & our stay at Bell's Brae. Susan was very communicative & helpful in answering questions before our arrival. Close to the city center with a peaceful setting.

We really enjoyed staying at Susan’s flat. It was in a beautiful part of Edinburgh. About a 20-25 minute walk to the centre. Lovely flat. Comfy beds. Decent size kitchen with all required utensils and pots/pans. Would highly recommend.

Stayed for the Edinburgh fringe festival. Apartment was a great location with everything we needed. Hope be back.

This was a fantastic getaway from the busy city. It is set in an area with great walking and scenic views. The flat is top notch clean, well appointed and very well maintained. You won't be disapointed.

The area is a slice of heaven with a lovely green walking trail filled with aromatic flowers cascading over flowing waterway. Dean village is within walking distance of many must see attractions of Edinburgh.

Very comfortable and clean flat in the beautiful Dean Village. Quiet! Be prepared to hike up a steep hill to go into town. The walk along the Leith is amazing!

We had a wonderful stay here in the old Mill house. Its an quaint and interesting area close to the central hub bub of Edinburgh. Sue provided everything you could wish for and the flat is roomy, light and really comfy..

The apartment was the perfect size for us. It is in a beautiful area that we enjoyed evening walks along the Leith riverfront. I had read a review about the up hill walk to the Royal mile. But I was a bit surprised how steep. It took us just under a half hour to get up there. That said, the city is stunning and you see something amazing around every corner. The apartment is well equipped and we appreciated the personal touches. Thanks Susan

Our stay at Dean village was exactly what we were looking for. Close enough to walk to everywhere we wanted to go, but far enough off the main route to enjoy some peace and quiet when you went home. Full kitchen, large bath room, bigger than average living spaces, and THE PRIVATE GARDEN ON THE RIVER! We actually never explored the garden until the last day, but it was the perfect place to end the evening; green grass, plenty of trees, and you can sit next to the lazy river, listening to it cascade over the bank and continue on its way. Highly recommend, would stay again for sure. We stayed in 6 short term rentals during our stay in Scotland, and this was number 1.

First, Dean Village, where the property is located is quaint, quiet, and charming, yet, walkable to major attractions. The host made us feel welcome immediately and sent an e-mail checking on us once during our stay. The building itself has a private garden overlooking the dam. We frankly wish we had more time to stay. The property itself is well appointed with books and materials for cooking. We would stay there again.

Property is in a great location, and had all the amenities that are so helpful when traveling with a small child. Susan was very communicative and made the process easy!

Outstanding stay in historic mill. Nicely appointed property that felt more like a home than a rental. Charming neighborhood with a beautiful river walkway. Felt remote while still being minutes away from all the sites in Edinburgh. Wish we could have stayed longer!

The apartment is located in beautiful Dean Village, a short walk from Edinburgh town centre. Close to Murrayfield Stadium for the Harry Styles and Bruce Springsteen concerts we went to. Susan was great to deal with … prompt replies to our requests. Would stay there again and recommend Susan’s apartment in Dean Village.

We loved our stay in this Dean Village property that has everything you need and more! It’s in a beautiful area away from the crowds in Edinburgh but close enough to walk to all the sights and restaurants in Edinburgh. Deans Village is a beautiful place and the property sits right on the Water of Leith. The apartment is beautifully decorated with room for 4 people. Communication with the owner was excellent, as well. The only difficulty we had was figuring out how to find and access the private garden on the Water of Leith. It is accessible through the basement but it was not easy to find the way out to the garden/sitting area down by the water. Better signage in the basement showing directions to the garden/water would help. Overall this is a wonderful place to stay and we recommend it without any hesitation.

Perfect location for exploring, well setup for travelling with toddlers.

My husband and I stayed here with my brother and sister in law for a week. Susan is an excellent host. Easy access to the flat. Easy walk from Waverly Station. Staying in Dean Village is amazing. It’s central to everything.

Check-in instructions were easy to follow, situated he apartment was clean and welcoming; our children especially enjoyed the welcome treat that Susan had left, and we were very grateful that there were items available for a cuppa and relax as we just arrived. The kitchen is well equipped, although we made basic use of it. The living area is comfortable and nice to relax in in the evening after a day of exploring the city. The apartment is a short walk up a reasonably steep hill to Dean Bridge/Queensferry Road and from there to Princes St. Ideally situated for accessing all that Edinburgh has to offer and there are frequent buses from Dean Bridge to access most of the city from. We slept our first night before realising that there are blackout blinds behind the soft curtains and so our sleeps following that discovery were much better. Beds were comfortable although low and the king bed creaked a fair bit and was a little disturbing for sleep. All in all we had a great time and very much enjoyed our stay, thank you ☺️

We found the apartment ideal for a short break, it's far enough from the centre to be quiet but not so far as to be a hindrance. We found the flat comfortable, clean, airy and bright, the kitchen has all anyone could need, though there are a number of local places to eat at the top of the hill. Visitors with reduced mobility may struggle with the location in the bottom of a valley but it was no problem for us and we hope to stay again.
