Excellent hotel, very friendly staff, great decor and ambienc - offered us all we needed and wanted!

This is a great, family run hotel in the centre of Saumur; very helpful and friendly staff. The hotel is full of character and design was fantastic - the room had all the things we needed, was quiet and made us feel right at home. Very clean and comfortable. The car parking was very helpful! Breakfast was superb - enormous selection of bio products, cereals, seeds, juices, etc etc! This is a truly great hotel! Will definitely stay again.

This is a great hotel in the middle of Saumur. Highly recommended

The location is perfect in the centre of Saumur. Regis is always a perfect host. We have stayed several times and in different rooms and always enjoyed it. There is a very pleasant ambience. The design of the hotel is lovely and the rooms offer everything one needs. The breakfast is superb. Car parking is available in front and behind the hotel. We highly recommend the hotel!

Exceptional

A beautiful hotel just behind the church in Saumur. Super friendly hosts made us feel at home straight away. Note parking is behind the hotel. The breakfast was the best of our trip. Would throughly recommend this hotel with dinner at Masama.

Fantastic location in the medieval walled town. lovely hotel and a friendly couple running it. They have great taste in whisky! we love this quiet hotel.

A little gem

Absolutely fabulous little hotel, tucked away behind the Eglise St Pierre. Great location, and lovely front-of-house staff. But the star turns were the rooms - beautifully and tastefully decorated, lovely bed, great ensuite facilities (bathroom and separate toilet); and the outstanding breakfast. Would go there again like a shot. Thoroughly recommended.

Unforgettable hotel in the heart of town that is comfortable and magical.

Very comfortable and clean. They put a lot of thought in every space with the decorations and tile work. Amazing location by the square. Delicious breakfast that will keep you full till dinner. So much to explore in the area but you never want to leave the hotel.

An excellent centrally located characterful hotel

This hotel is in a quiet location although only a minute's walk from the main square and has parking beside it. It is in a characterful old building, my room was individually and tastefully decorated and had a large shower room. Breakfast was excellent and the management was particularly welcoming and helpful.

Perfect in every way!

A real find - such a beautiful hotel in a perfect location in the centre of the town next to good restaurants and bars. Parking was easy on site - the owner was there to welcome us and take our luggage to our room which was warm, beautifully decorated, quiet and comfortable. We had a huge walk in shower and there was always plenty of hot water. I can thoroughly recommend this hotel for location, comfort, service and facilities. Thank you for making our stay in Saumur perfect!

The location is superb….and the petit déjeuner is a master class of perfection.

An olde world charm percolated throughout the hotel from the reception, to the lift, to our room, with its classic decor. However, the bathroom and shower were 21st Century!

Great spot for visiting Saumur.

Great central location and we were able to get into their parking (it’s small so you need to ask beforehand). Breakfast seems pricey but was superb so worth it. Room in old building very lovely and very comfortable bed, and even though next to a church the bells must be the other side as they didn’t disturb us. Was a stopover, didn’t see much as cold and wet, but will be back when weather warmer!

Absolutely superb just a shame we weren't there longer.

Everything was amazing. The owner was superb. He couldn't do enough for us. His decor with all the horses was fantastic and his service and all the extra touches right from great drinks to novel ideas were just great. Always use this hotel when we come to Saumur and we tell everyone we know to stay.

Comfortable Modern Boutique Hotel in Central Saumur

Very nice property right in the center of Saumur with a 30 second walk to the main square. Staff was always available, friendly, and accommodating with requests. Rooms were good sized, comfortable beds, clean, and nice amenities. There is a small bar and a small courtyard for drinks in the early evenings. Parking is managed by the staff who help park your car, since parking can be a little tight.

Loved our stay with no complaints.

Location brilliant central to everything . Thé hôtel was magnificent. So so nice , 10/10 . Room sumptuous, comfortable and classy . The hotel even smelt gorgeous . Breakfast amazing. Definitely recommend it , definitely go back . Saumur lovely, typically french

The hotel is a beautiful gem right in the heart of the city!

The location was amazing for walking all over town and to the chateau. The hosts were very welcoming and being able to reserve a parking space was a huge help! Glad that there was an elevator.

It was a rather scary drive up narrow and winding streets to reach the hotel. Wish a breakfast option had been offered.

A fantastic hotel in the heart of the City with huge character and great staff.

From the moment that we arrived and the host personally helped us to park, we were treated as valued guests. This is a lovely building in the heart of Saumur, with loads of character and features to delight. The interesting and eclectic decor gives it a great atmosphere and the convivial host helps to make the stay a memorable one. His little bar with scores of whiskies and other delights is a real treat after a night on the town. Sound advice on where to eat was appreciated, as was the extended parking to allow us to see more of the town on our day of departure. Our room was small but well appointed with a compact yet very modern bathroom in contrast to the vintage/historic decor of the bedroom itself. We were very happy with this stay and strongly recommend it as being ideally located, good value and a little out of the ordinary - but in a good way! We'd be very happy to return.

We stayed here many years ago and it was good then but now it's superb.

The room and the whole design of the hotel were extremely well thought out and the quality of materials used was of the highest standard. Breakfast was superb even catering for my gluten free needs and there was so much we could have done with a larger table. The location was ideal, beneath the chateau, close to the river and the museums. It was easy to find by car and the parking arrangements were fine. All the staff were friendly helpful and able to provide advice and suggestions.

The weather on one day when it poured all day. So what...... it was raining in The UK!

We love everything this hotel has to offer! The location was central and convenient, the room itself is a luxurious treat, with comfortable beds, beautiful decor, and spacious, tasteful bathroom, complete set of toiletries, as well as friendly staff and nice breakfast! The experience far exceeded our expectations and we highly recommend it! It's a gem and you won't be disappointed!

Regis made us feel like we were his only guests.

Very homey feeling and super comfy beds and bedding. Each room has it’s own personality. It’s more like a bed and breakfast than hotel. Regis was very attentive. I don’t think you’ll find nicer in Saumur! Great location to explore the town. Great bar service for a nightcap, great breakfast, and romantic patio to relax in.

Parking is tight in Saumur but Regis took care of it for us.
