Schöner Aufenthalt in einem guten Hotel

Das Frühstück war die ersten Tage im Nachbarhotel Barbarahof des gleichen Besitzers. Auswahl und Qualität waren top. Auch die Sauna und das Schwimmbad, die zu dem Hotel gehören, konnten mit genutzt werden. Die Lage ist gut, zwischen den Ortsteilen Saalbach und Hinterglemm gelegen. Unser Zimmer war im 3. Stock, mit überdachtem Balkon, sehr groß und geräumig. Die E-Bikes konnten wir in der Fahrradgarage abstellen. Alle Mitarbeiter, der Hausmeister oder auch der Chef waren sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend.

Viel zu teuer für keinerlei Service und Komfort, und das bei einer so schlechten Lage

Das Frühstück war gut, allerdings war das Buffet nie komplett gefüllt. Es war für eine Servicekraft, die sehr freundlich war, schier nicht möglich, gleichzeitig Tische abzuräumen und abzuwischen, das Buffet aufzufüllen, neues Geschirr zu bringen, etc.

Das Zimmer war zwar groß aber ausser neu gestrichene Türen war es ein altmodisches Hotelzimmer mit einem unrenovierten Bad. Der Duschvorhang war eigentlich eher eine Plastikplane, die am Körper klebte. Das Zimmer wurde nicht gereinigt, nachdem einmal für eine halbe Stunde das "Nicht stören"-Schild an der Tür hing. Man würde erwarten, dass das Reinigungspersonal dann später noch einmal wiederkommt.

Lovely for one night

The location and the shower facilities. This was the best shower I had in my entire Europe holiday. Also, they have Netflix and YouTube which is not there in any hotels usually. The breakfast was really lovely and Anastasia was a good host.

The bed was uncomfortable, there was literally no one at check in and it was really tough to do it on a kiosk as it was written in German, even the English option did not work. We have to walk to a hotel nearby for breakfast and to talk to a human. Anastasia also had no clue about any restaurants open for dinner as she was trying to sell her own restaurant but we found a burger joint 4 mins away.

Exceptional

We liked EVERYTHING. We were a bit scared at first when we walked into the hotel and it looked as if it got stuck in the sixties. As if we walked straight into our grandparents’ house. But they proved us we didn’t need to worry. Everything in this hotel was perfect. Super clean, super friendly staff (one of whom even spoke perfect English) and even the Wifi was stable and fast. The food was also delicious and the breakfast buffet had a lot of options. We enjoyed our stay to the fullest.

If I really had to point one thing out, it’s the beds. They are super comfortable, no complaints there. But the double bed we slept in as a couple consisted out of two single person mattresses and two single person blankets. It would’ve been very nice to be able to sleep closer to each other but it didn’t matter so much. Also one of the sides of the bed made a bit of a noise when you moved in it (room 207 double bed on the side of the terrace).

Cosy hotel for ski vacation

Cosy and clean room, hospotable staff. Location near by ski bus station and supermarket. Tasty dinner and great breakfast.

Excellent family run hotel in a great location.

Excellent small family run hotel. The rooms were immaculate, spacious and the showers hot (with supplied shower products). The food was superb and always freshly prepared. Huge breakfast, including all sorts of freshly cooked eggs, which really set you up for a day's skiing. The evening meals were 5 course, starting with a fabulous range of salads and canapés- almost a meal in itself! The final course was cheese, but we didn't manage it once! The owners and staff were so welcoming and also offered transport to the lifts from 8.30am in the morning, which was great. They also put on an apres ski afternoon in their bar, which was fun and nice to mix other guests. The ski bus stopped almost outside the building. A pleasant supermarket is also within 50m. The ski area is 240km+ and offers really great skiing with some runs 7km long. Plenty of nice alpine restaurants too. We would most definitely visit again and would certainly recommend this hotel.

Breakfast was great. The staff was very friendly, you a separate licked room in basemant for bikes or skis and sauna. I enjoyed the visit very much! Would love to come again!
