This house was perfect for our fanily holiday. House was clean and it actually felt like a home not a rental. Lots of kitchen utensils and crockery, big bbq and pool was good for those that used it. Could not fault the house and the communication with the owners. Nothing was to much trouble

We had a wonderful week staying at the house. I live interstate so it was nice to have my sisters and nieces under one roof.
The property was clean, kitchen well equipped and furnished perfectly for a family holiday.
We loved sitting on the back deck, the kids enjoyed the swings and braved the pool!
Highly recommend this property.

Very nice and clean property. The owner has provided all the amenities. The swimming pool was so clean but we couldn't get in the water because of cold weather. Want to come again in this property in future.

We were coming after a wedding with the whole family so we wanted somewhere we can spend time with each other after all the flurry of activities. The whole place was clean, spacious and had everything we needed except for towels. Having towels & linen would save guests from having to bring too much during their stay. All rooms had heaters, fans, doonah covers, protective bed & pillow cases though. Downstairs bathroom was a bit too small but definitely not a deal breaker. All utensils & kitchen appliances made cooking really easy. Pool, bbq and balcony all great for relaxing and eating together. Will definitely look to booking again for a big group!

House was lovely and big, plenty of room to spread out. Backed onto bushland which was lovely. The house was well stocked with everything we needed. Good flat walk to the beach. The pool in the yard was lovely and clean which we enjoyed, just a bit tricky getting in and out with no rails.

Wonderful
The property is well maintained and offered everything a growing and multi- generational family could need. The pool, which was sparkling , was enjoyed every day and the play equipment was perfect for toddlers. The beach was a short walk away and accessible . The living spaces were great and gave us each enough space when we needed it. The fact there is no Wi-Fi and the telephone reception is poor did not bother us as it allowed us to truly switch off. Thanks for a great holiday!

Place was nice, location is good if you just want to relax, the weather ruined it for us but still had fun.

Some good things and some not so good things...
The house interior is pleasant and the property seems to be partly through some renovations – kitchen is new and well equipped with new appliances. Bedrooms are clean and fresh with comfy beds and new/clean carpet. Great quiet location and close to the beach.
It was cold and raining for most of our stay. While this is out of anyone’s control, it unfortunately highlighted some areas which were lacking for a holiday home. A major sore point was not having a dryer. The outside clothesline is not under cover and the small portable indoor clothes horse is broken and not sufficient for a house that can sleep up to 16 guests. Our bath towels remained damp, and we were stuck with wet beach towels from a trip to the indoor aquatic centre, which we couldn’t re-use for the pool when it did briefly clear up one afternoon.
There is no undercover area outside, the BBQ had to be dragged under an eave so we could cook in the rain. We couldn't hang out or sit on the deck which was a shame.
There is only one TV in the house, and it's downstairs which was annoying. Would’ve been much nicer to be part of the main living area so we could all be together watching a movie on a rainy afternoon while still having access to the kitchen.
The dining table is grimy and sticky with markings of paint/ crafting. The wooden chopping boards in the kitchen smell from previous use. The main bathroom vanity sink has poor pressure and doesn’t drain. Having to bring all linen with us (sheet sets & doona covers for varying bed sizes, plus towels) wasn’t ideal. To try and work out all the bedding configurations, then have to make up the beds when you get there etc was not my idea of relaxing or being on holiday.
While we were fully aware and fine with WIFI not being available, it did become a problem due to the fact that phone reception is very poor in the area generally. My husband was unable to hotspot/log in remotely to deal with an urgent work issue which caused some stress at the time. It also would've been a great option to be able to stream TV for the kids considering we had to spend so much more time indoors than we had wanted or planned to.
And my last item for the wish list would be for the pool to be heated - but I might be pushing it now!
Despite some of the above complaints, we still managed to have a great time away. With a few tweaks and extra provisions this property could really be amazing.
Thanks for letting us stay and all the best for the future.

Short stay near the beach
The property suited our group of 8 adults and 6 children very well. The pool was a great hit with the kids, and the property was only a short walk to the beach for a change. Kitchen and facilities were suitable for a large number of guests. It was not "State of the Art" but compared favourably with other stays of similar capacity and cost. All questions were responded to efficiently.Would recommend the property to others with similar size group.

Beautiful position, close to beaches and club. But!!
Celebrating my 60th Birthday with immediate family, loads of beds available and a beautiful pool, although pool guy come unannounced. The rest of the house very aged, remote for TV not working, no air con, no internet, 3 of the guests ended up with nail scratches walking down the very steep stairs, and with a 15 month old the stair gate that didn't secure a nightmare. Also lacking in anything that says welcome, no toiletries, not even soap, no plastic cups for kids, no hair dryer, no dustpan, no mats to wipe your feet on at back door, no games, not even a set of playing cards, 2nd shower leaks continually, NOT suitable for dogs as there is no where for them to get out of the rain , no water buckets provided for them, no pool chairs to enjoy, just 2 plastic chairs. inside cupboards were dirty , dead cockroaches found as we were cleaning up to leave inside, freezer drawer was filthy, no cushions on lounges, reclining chair also broken, Having said all that I had a great weekend because I was with my family.

Great house in great area
A lovely family friendly pet friendly home. The house had lots of fans but was quite hot in the house on really warm days. We will definately stay again. Would be nice to have internet next time. Xx air-conditioning would be amazing. Loved hearing the waves from the house.

Ideal for our extended family
We stayed here for a week and it was so pleasant. It’s a close walk to the beach. The pool was a hit with the kids. There was plenty of room for everyone to have their own space. The lack of wifi and having only 1 tv were both winners for us as it showed that we could all “switch” off and truly relax for a week.
The kitchen was very well-equipped. The home was well-presented and clean and was exactly as pictured. Although there was no air-conditioning and it did get hot during the day, by the afternoon, the sea breeze was beautiful and cool. And we survived :)
Thanks for the lovely stay!

Fabulous location!
We enjoyed our stay thoroughly. The swimming pool was a big hit and we all had a great time. Location is excellent as very close to the beach (walking distance). It would be a bonus to add aircon, a tv upstairs and some outdoor furniture for the pergola downstairs. Other than that the house has plenty of space for everyone and the kitchen is well equipped too!
Thank you for your hospitality Geoff and Roxii!

Family Holiday
Callala Beach is a lovely area for families. It’s quiet, child friendly and the beach is perfect for small children. Drifters is well set out for a large family, with a big living area and two rooms with bunk beds downstairs and a second living area, kitchen and three separate bedrooms upstairs. We really enjoyed our stay and would come back again.

This house has plenty of room for everyone. The pool was great and everyone loved it. Great balcony with a big BBQ. Would be great if air conditioning was installed as you definitely felt the heat. There are plenty of pedestal fans provided. Only negative is the sink in the downstairs bathroom is tiny and difficult to use for anything other than rinsing a toothbrush.Great house for large groups.Everyone will love the pool and the beach is only a few minutes walk.

Nice place with great pool
The house is basic but the pool is nice. Slightly annoying that the only tv is downstairs. None of the bedside lamps worked but the beds were comfortable and the bathroom and kitchen were nice and clean.

Good house
The place was nice, a little more dated than the pictures suggested. The living areas were also a little smaller than the pictures suggested. However, check in was a breeze, having the upstairs and downstairs living meant everyone got there space. The girls and I had an absolute blast having some time to relax and have a few bevvys after some pretty hectic days at work. One thing I will note was the pool man turned up unannounced and gave a couple girls a fright when he did, maybe in the future let the guest know if he’s due to turn up and clean the pool. Thanks for a fabulous weekend away!

A lovely week but a little disappointed in the house
The house is in a great location. We were disappointed with the appearance of the house based on high price and size. The home was less spacious than represented in photos. Whilst the home was clean, the fittings and fixtures were cheap quality with bathroom sink pressure low on one sink and high on twin sink, dishwasher not fitting dinner sized plates and broken wardrobe door. The swimming pool was a plus for the children and the property managers were very friendly, helpful and responsive.

Family Vacation
Our first family vacation for the year was spent here. There was ample room for us to have family time or just time out from each other. Although the weather was on the chillier side, the kids did use the pool on our second day. One thing I can suggest is perhaps get WiFi because the rooms on the first floor cannot get any phone signal.
Overall we had a great time and looking forward to the next trip.

Although the weather was on the chillier side, the kids did use the pool on our second day. One thing I can suggest is perhaps get WiFi because the rooms on the first floor cannot get any phone signal. Overall we had a great time and looking forward to the next trip.

The kid's play equipment was great, the interior is nice, the beds were comfortable. The location of the property is great, in a quiet area, backing onto a bush reserve, and with just a short walk to the beach. The upstairs / downstairs divide meant there were seperate adult and kids areas for the weekend, which was welcome, although the internal stairs are very steep. We were also able to arrive and leave outside of standard booking times, as there were not concurrent bookings, which was nice. The owner was communicative and friendly.Unfortunately, we were not able to use the pool, as it was empty due to required repairs; this was not stated when we booked the property - the owner notified us mid-week prior to our booking (we were arriving on the Friday) that the pool was expected to be repaired and start to be filled again by our arrival, however, whilst we were travelling there, the owner informed us that the pool wouldn't be available as the repairs couldn't be completed due to weather. This was a major disappointment, as this was the main reason we booked the property, given we had 6 kids staying over the weekend, and the pool is huge and would have been perfect. We felt that the property shouldn't have been advertised if the pool was not going to be available, or at least have it made clear on the property description that repairs were going to be undertaken. The dishwasher broke on our first night, and after communicating with the owner over the course of the second day, he replaced it in the evening, although we did have approx 90 minutes when no cold water was available, which was difficult with a house with 6 adults and 6 children. There were numerous smaller issues: there was a bad paint smell in one of the downstairs bedrooms, there were some broken locks on doors, no water in the laundry, and the fire alarm kept going off, apparently due to steam from the bathroom. Also, the BBQ hotplate was very dirty.Overall, the property was nice, and if the pool was available, the other smaller issues would have been less important, and I could recommend it for its location and its interior. The inability to use the pool was a major disappointment, although ultimately the owner agreed to refund us a full night's cost due to that and other issues. In addition, the owner has been open to our feedback. I could recommend booking the property if the owner is clearer in the property details of any issues or potential issues that could be expected

Good family home
It was lovely to stay there. Geoffrey was a wonderful person, he offer us late check out I’m really appreciated for that, however we left from there on time.
Crockery beddings was enough for family of 14.

Great house lousy weather
We had a large family group we thoroughly enjoyed your house. It was very well equipped. The children loved the outdoor play area. The only thing we didn't like was the weather unfortunately that is out of your control. Regardless of the weather we still managed to enjoy ourselves but it would have been nice to get some benefit from the pool.

Lovely beachside holiday
Had a wonderful stay, house was great and a short walk from the beach. Some tools for cleaning the bbq would be helpful, but overall a great property that we would return to

A brilliant week with the family
The property was perfect for our needs, 6 adults and 3 children.
So convenient, a short stroll to the beach and the pool in the back yard was just perfect for quiet afternoons with the kids, A really well set up house. The two living areas was perfect for the kids and adults to have a bit of space as well as having 2 bathrooms. My only criticism would be that the house is getting a bit tired, one of the balconies couldn't be used and the pool needed a bit of repair, otherwise perfect, we hope to return

Good for early sleepers
Had a good time on our holiday at this property. We enjoyed our days at the house and in the swimming pool. Although we had a great time during the day, unfortunately we had to stay inside after 9.30pm and be quiet as we were not allowed to talk outdoors after that time due to the neighbors complaining. I do recommend this property for people who are early sleepers.
