About this villa rental
This holiday home has all the character of stone vaulted rooms and conical trullo but with the convenience of a newly renovated, well insulated design. Very good unlimited wifi included. Modern bathrooms and kitchen with professional cooker. Look out from the veranda over the pool to the Aloes and Olive trees, or from the roof terrace, great for evening parties, to the Adriatic or the beautifully lit Carovigno and its castle. Seven minutes drive to Ostuni, the white city, "the jewel of Puglia" with its wonderful old city to explore by day or enjoy in the warm night air. Relax in old bars, or the sophisticated modernity melted into the solid stone. Carovigno has a lot to offer from gourmet to great value restaurants with fantastic food and low prices. Italians choose to holiday here. The veranda has an outside kitchen, popular in southern Italy, and we have two barbecues. The local fish, meat and vegetables are exceptional so you can go into town later and chill, or just watch the sun go down, poolside.
Villa Acacia is in between Ostuni, Carovigno and the beaches with all the convenience that gives in getting around and to the beaches etc. and not wasting precious holiday time.

Exceptional host, clean property, great location for exploring, well-equipped villa, lovely pool, beautiful views. Highly recommended for families or groups. Will goes above and beyond to ensure a wonderful stay!

With a group of 4 friends, we stayed here for a week at the end of August. Will was an excellent host, provided us a stocked refrigerator so we didn’t have to rush out at the end of a long travel day, showed us around Ostuni and was available to answer any questions and help us with good restaurants, things to see, etc. The property is so tranquil after being in busy tourist sites during the day. We made use of the pool and all the outdoor spaces. It was a little tricky to find on our first try, but once found was an easy and short drive to Ostuni. Would highly recommend staying at this property; if I find myself back in Puglia I won’t hesitate to stay here again.

We had a really wonderful week in the lovely house. Many hours were spent in the large swimming pool.
The kitchen had everything needed and the outdoor areas allowed for relaxation and dining in both sun and shade.
Will was the perfect host and was helpful with everything from recommendations for shopping, answering questions to getting a cheese slicer

Villa Acacia is surrounded by olive trees.
From the minute we arrived we felt relaxed and immersed in Puglia.
The owner's generosity was extensive. It is most unusual to arrive at a holiday rental with more than the basics but in this case we had everything from pasta and sauces to a selection of drinks, eggs to get us started. The personal touch of home made marmalade and local pastries delivered to us was the icing on the cake. We felt spoilt.
The pool was perfect in size and temperature.
The roof terrace superb in the evening for meals with sea views in the distance and a cooling breeze.
We liked having a sitting room outside as its so different from being at home.
We are so glad we opted for a trulli and what must have been an exhaustive restoration process is evident.
Ostuni is remarkably close as is the supermarket but far enough away to feel you are still in a rural sanctuary.
Ostuni is stunning and is a labyrinthe of cobbled streets whch we enjoyed exploring. Will even offered to show us around.
Will's recommendation of Spiaggia Pozzelli and were not disappointed. Early morning swims in the crystal clear waters were so therapeutic. We returned to the pool in the afternoon and back to the beach for an evening swim when the beach was quieter.
The weather was unseasonably hot so our grand plans of touring local villages didn't materialise but it was no hardship spending days by the pool relaxing, picking grapes, lemons and figs from the trees surrounding it.

This was a heavenly break with teenagers. Wi-fi, pool, roof terrace and their own bathrooms. Kids happy equals parents happy. Ostuni is beautiful. And Will was a fantastic host, being on hand to help or guide. Throughly recommend!

We had a wonderful 10 days and Will was the perfect host.
The Villa was very clean and comfortable and the pool was wonderful.
Will gave great recommendations for restaurants and places to visit and also shared local information.
We arrived lat3 to a well stocked fridge which meant we didn’t have to rush out to get shopping.
July was wonderful weather, got hotter throughout the stay but there was a lovely breeze by the pool.
I would thoroughly recommend the Villa and area.
Th@nk you for a great stay.

Stayed last week with husband only so plenty of space. We loved the quiet and space after a busy week touring about. We found the owner charming and generous with time, advice and he supplied many things to make our stay easy eg wine, water and some basic groceries which was kind.
The place was very clean and comfortable. We chose to sleep in the truli area and just used the well equipped main kitchen to cook etc. There is great outside space where spent most of our time - covered sofas under the arches which we found lovely to sit on during the day and evening. There are Boules, table tennis, bikes to use if inclined. We swam everyday in the pool although the water is still a little cool in May. There is also a roof terrace for groups to dine from with great views - you can even see the sea in the distance.
The property is minutes from Ostuni and a few other towns Carovigno and Cisiternino. All worth a visit. Positioned well for day trips all over Puglia. We also discovered some of the local beaches. 75 min drive from Bari airport. Closer to Brindisi I suspect. We hope to return with our sons one day.
This is a well equipped property that would suit families or a group of up to 6 adults. There is another place next door which you could also rent if contact the owner for larger groups.

Our group (5 adults) had an excellent stay (7 days May 2024) at this villa. The villa was clean, well equipped (beds/pillows very comfortable) and in a great location for doing day trips exploring the Puglia area. The best part of our stay at this villa was our host Will. He went way above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable! His helpful tips on what to visit and where to eat were greatly appreciated. Will built this villa from the ground up so knows the villa inside out. We felt safe at night knowing Badger (Will’s dog) was guarding the property. The property doesn’t require guarding but don’t tell Badger. Thank you so much Will for an enjoyable week!

To start with: Will is the best host you can imagine. He anwers / helps you with all you questions and even more. We arrived on a bank holiday, shops closed, but Will made sure we did not run out of food and drinks .
The location is perfect quiet and only a few km to Ostuni. The pool was clean and even the first week of May had a good temperature to swim.
Since we there with 2 couples and one brought their 2 kids it was perfect that the property had 2 buildings, a 1 and a 2 bedroom building.
We can recommend this please and would sure return for a next Puglia holiday

We had a wonderful stay at villa Acacia and cannot recommend the villa and the host Will highly enough. The villa is very well appointed with lots of thoughtful touches and a really excellent welcome pack including very well chosen local wine which was very much appreciated after a late arrival. We particularly loved the upstairs roof terrace the views of the Adriatic sea and the lounging area was our favourite place .
Will the host deserves a special mention: his communication before our arrival was excellent and during our stay he was a wonderful host with excellent local knowledge, recommendations and advice. His knowledge of the area is outstanding.
All three of us loved Badger the dog.
This is a truly special and unique place, made even more so by the personable approach and obvious love of the area that Will embodies.
We cannot recommend highly enough and had an absolutely wonderful stay.

Our first time Puglia having spent many holidays in Italy.
The Acacias was the perfect size for a party of four and we enjoyed our week there. The two separate buildings provided privacy for the two parties and the rooftop dining area provided a great view of the area, while the downstairs area under cover was the perfect space to relax .
We were met by our host Will, wine in hand, and given the necessary information re the property which is always useful. We appreciated his ongoing response to our enquiries and suggestions re places to visit ,shop and eat.
We were fortunate to have a week of beautiful weather which added to our Puglia experience and the pool , well maintained, was a bonus.
A car is a must. Being in our eighties we would have found driving in the area challenging but the family members who joined us soon orientated themselves and took us on some great excursions including a day trip to Otranto and another to Lecche. Swimming at nearby beaches were a highlight . All within easy access.
The property has all the amenities required with a small but adequately equipped kitchen including a functioning oven and gas rings, dishwasher and adjacent to the house an excellent bbq . Being able to do our laundry at the property was also a plus.
We ate in most nights but enjoyed two dinners in Ostuni, a very pretty town .
Thank you Will , we enjoyed our stay l

Comfortable and spacious villa, the perfect getaway in Puglia. Nearby beaches and white villages. In the midst of olive trees we were able to view sunsets snd starry night skies. Will is the best host. He takes great care and thought to make your visit best for you. Thank you Will Sanderson.

We had a wonderful time at Villa Acacia. The property is private and an excellent location for day tripping in Puglia. It is rural, which suited us as it was nice to get away from the crowds at the end of the day.
Will, the host, was exceptional and really made our trip. The fridge was stocked with ample supplies on arrival including a very pleasant bottle of wine, which was much appreciated after an extremely long day and very late arrival.
The property can be difficult to find in the dark, but Will’s instructions helped.
We really enjoyed our stay, having a large pool was fabulous, especially at the end of a hot day sightseeing. The house is an eclectic mix and not 5 star, but very comfortable for the week we spent there.

Will the owner could not have been more hospitable… from stocking the fridge with goodies to endless helpful information about the area
Accommodation was comfortable and in a perfect location to see Puglia

This lovely property in Puglia was a joy to stay at from beginning to end. It was perfect for our group of four adults but would easily accommodate another couple. The kitchen had everything we needed, the host (Will) also stocked the fridge with everything we needed for our first evening and morning (including cheese, meat, milk, tomatoes, wine, etc), He also provided dried goods including bread and pasta. The air conditioning worked perfectly. The pool was so refreshing in the summer heat. Will gave us excellent restaurant recommendations. He also sent us to a very kind and inexpensive mechanic in the nearby town to fix a tire with a slow leak. The surrounding areas has lots to keep you busy. Ostuni (the white city) is stunning and a short drive away. We also went on day trips to Lecce and Matera. Highly recommend both. A small sand beach in the nearby town has lovely blue water (you may want to keep in mind that beaches in Italy are very very busy in the summer months).
We can't say enough about our wonderful host. Truly one of the kindest and most accommodating hosts we have come across in our VRBO travels. Thank you, Will!
Derek, Chris and the girls.

Property is lovely and as described such a lovely place to chill out. The roof terrace is amazing for evening meals.
Will provides so much (water, some beer, coffee +++) and will answer anything almost immediately.
10+ years of family holidays and we have never gone back to the same place twice, but have already rebooked for next year testament to how much we liked it!

The property was charming and rustic in a rural location surrounded by olive groves. The two on site properties worked brilliantly for our inter-generational family group.
The pool was lovely and upstairs veranda and poolside patio were both perfect for dining
Will was the perfect host. He could not have been more helpful, from booking restaurants to assisting with local information for beaches and days out. His local knowledge helped us make the most of our stay and his attentive but never intrusive presence was a absolute pleasure
I would definitely recommend a stay here for a group of independent minded travelers with a car to make the most of this beautiful area of Italy.
10.0
The property is very close to town by car, 10 minutes at most. However, the home is a on a secluded road, so it is a great place to just enjoy the pool, the views and get some relaxation during the day. The photos speak for themselves. In the evening, the Ostuni nightlife is vibrant. Shops, restaurants and bars are plentiful, and the views are spectacular.

We had a wonderful stay here and we recommend this place to everyone. The pool and the house is great and have everything you need for your vacation. Will is very nice and gave us lots of tips of the area. We really didn't want to leave!

We had a very comfortable and welcoming stay in a trullo vacation home in the olive grooves outside of Ostuni! Our host, Will, was very kind and even hosted us for a night out in Ostuni and showed us around. The villa came stocked with some groceries and beverages and the grocery store was a short drive from the Villa. This Villa/trullo was the perfect place to stay with it being close to Ostuni, as well as the local beaches! One of the best places we’ve stayed on our Italy trip, thank you!!

Villa Acacia was a super villa for the 4 of us. Perfect location, so much to see and do and not far from the beautuful beaches should you wish to relax.
Set in a peaceful location amongst the olive groves in a rural setting. Waking up to the birds singing every morning bliss. We really enjoyed all the facilities , the pool was great fun enjoyed playing volley ball and floating on the water loungers very relaxing. Loved the beautiful olive tree with the hammock perfect. Not forgetting many a table tennis tournament too! Even ventured out on the bikes a couple of times.
Will as a host we can honestly say is one of the best we've experienced. His knowledge of the area and recommendations outstanding. Also a very generous welcome pack on arrival much appreciated as we came in late . It actually lasted us a few days! Nothing was too much trouble for him , on hand if needed, but also gave us our privacy . We fell in love with Badger the dog who came over a few times to say hello.
Our first visit to Puglia certainly won't be our last .
Many thanks .

Villa Acacia was lovely. The property itself is set back from road and offers incredible serenity. The two buildings are surrounded by beautiful foliage and green olive trees. Beds are comfortable - AC was great. Pool and lounge chairs an added plus! Everything you need to have a wonderful vacation time in Puglia.
But... what makes this property truly incredible is the owner, Will. His hospitality can't be beat. From prior to our visit to during our 8 night stay, Will was in communication with us. Please - ask for his list of restaurant recommendations - he has excellent taste. He even stocks the fridge with essential items to start your holiday.
We will definitely be staying at Villa Acacia on all future trips to Puglia!
Thanks for everything Will and say hi to Badger!

An charming property that’s been lovingly developed by Will, the owner. The swimming pool is fantastic and the terrace above the main house has stunning views-a great area to relax. The location is so peaceful and private. A great location for all the beautiful, historic towns near by and the coast. Will was very welcoming, considerate and a super helpful host who went over and above to make us feel welcome and enjoy our holiday. Thank you, Will!

From start to finish Will was the perfect host. Nothing was too much trouble and he had a fantastic knowledge of the area and even booked dinner at an amazing restaurant. The villa is absolutely stunning with very comfortable beds and a lovely wood burner when it got chilly in the trulli. We arrived over Easter weekend so most shops were shut but Will very kindly made sure we didn't go hungry!!! Thanks so much for a gorgeous stay. The pool, table tennis and Badger the dog just added to the fun! See you next year....it's not very often we go somewhere more than once but we are definitely coming back.

Set amongst the olive groves and dry stone walls this charming property was perfect for a week away from the rat race. Comfortable, well appointed and with an attentive host who went the extra mile.

The property is on a very spacious plot with lots of outdoor areas. It has the additional self contained annexe, if a couple wanted to stay in addition to the two bed property. (Like grandparents) The swimming pool was a good size but very chilly at the end of October. Take insect repellant for the evenings as there are mosquitoes. It is well located for driving to places, such as ostuni and caravigno. Bikes are available, great addition, and the roads are flat around the property. Will was an amazing host, providing food for our late arrival and updating us daily on places to go and recommendations for food. The local beaches were great for snorkelling and cocktail bars, live music appear by the sea. Lecce was beautiful and favourite for architecture, shopping and breakfast. No where was busy in late October. We felt very spoilt with the beautiful weather and space.

We can’t say enough about the warmth of the accommodations and the host.
Super clean and well supplied kitchen for cooking meals when you need a break from touring this amazing region.
Will was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the sights and great spots to dine.
Just watch out for the narrow country roads amd misleading Google maps.

Our whole experience can be summed up in the word fantastic.
It already started with the communication with Will. We were informed in advance about everything. When we arrived Will gave us a selection of local dining recommendations which we followed to our complete satisfaction.
The accommodation is a little paradise in an idyllic area. The rooms are already very cool due to their design and all have individually controllable, powerful air conditioning. The beds are extremely comfortable, including the sheets and pillows. The kitchen is well equipped and of high quality and the roof terrace offers a fantastic view. The two separate buildings are ideal for families or groups of friends traveling together and still have a lot of privacy. The outdoor area is perfectly equipped, from the seating area to the hammocks and sun loungers. The pool is clean and you hardly smell any chlorine. Due to the very extensive rural area, it is wonderfully quiet. Despite this, Ostuni, a beautiful town, is only 10 minutes away by car. Everything you need is within reach and Will is always available as a contact person. The other reviews in which his person is so praised are fully justified. We will definitely come back one day and are already looking forward to it.
A recommendation from our side for fish lovers: SORSI & MORSea in Villanova.

Highly recommend villa and host
We were a party of four who rented Villa Acacia back in 2019 but our visit was delayed until 2022 due to the pandemic
We were greeted by the owner, Will, who showed us around the property and explained the various systems. The villa is set in an olive grove some distance from the main road. We were delayed in our arrival having got lost so we do suggest that you pay detailed attention to the route given by Will.
Will left us wine, beer and enough food for a very good meal the first night together with butter, milk, bread and marmelata for breakfast the following day, also plenty of still and sparking bottled water which was very much appreciated.
As Will was called away on family matters, he ensured we were introduced to a helper in case we should need assistance in his absence. He also kept in contact via WhatsApp should we have queries and sent us recommendations for restaurants, bars and general information regarding the area (–there is excellent wifi at the property.). We took advantage of his tips and were never disappointed (except the service at La Terrazza was not very good).
We were very happy with the villa which has been reconstructed in sympathetic detail to the existing trulli on the property The main residence has two double bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms and a galley style kitchen, the main large relaxing area with dining table and chairs, extremely comfortable sofas, coffee table with a view to the pool as seen in the photographs. There is also a wonderful roof terrace where we enjoyed our evening drinks with views to the sea and to Ostuni.
There is a second building with a trullo in which is a double bedroom and a separate bathroom, a large sitting room with comfortable sofas and chairs in which is a fridge, microwave, electric kettle (this is in addition to the kitchen in the main building). It was perfect as occasionally our friends enjoyed having downtime here after a busy morning sightseeing before we all reconvened near the pool.
The pool is excellent for swimming and water ball games and was kept crystal clear by Will’s employee who also swept the outside area. It was very private and peaceful.
We also made use of the table tennis table/set although not of the bicycles.
The location is perfect to visit nearby Ostuni, Unesco heritage site Alberobello, Ceglie, Martima Franca We had a busy and relaxing 9 days together with dining at restaurants recommended by Will, we really enjoyed La Cantina.

Lovely, peaceful villa
Super place, located a little outside of Ostuni. We had a lovely stay and were incredibly well looked after by the owner, Will. Everything in good condition, nice pool and a great roof terrace for dinner. Missing it already!

Our home away from home in Puglia
So, the four of us managed to visit several towns in enchanting Puglia plus Matera while based in Will's idyllic Villa Acacia in Ostuni. Each town in Puglia was magical in its own way. After each day trip, we looked forward to going "home" to our cozy trulli villa. Will did a great job of making us feel welcome and extremely comfortable. He was the ultimate host whose insight and advice given in such a friendly manner made us fast friends! The Villa was very well done and very clean. The bathrooms were just lovely. The kitchen was equipped with all the much appreciated staples, including lots of bottled water. Sleeping in a trullo with a wood burning stove was an experience I'll never forget! We got a true taste of what it's like living in Puglia among the wonderful olive groves. Also, I loved seeing all the bumblebees and butterflies hovering over the big lavender bush. We wish we had more time there! Thank you so much, Will! We hope to see you again some day!😊❤️

We had avery pleasant stay in the house. Will is a very pleasant and likelable person ensuring you have a great time. Any question on whatsoever, nice places, restaurants, shops, ask and Will has tips for you. We liked the house and its environment, you are surrounded by just nature and nature's sound. For breakfast we enjoyed getting freshly baked bread at SuperFamila in Ostuni. Restaurants we appreciated are Casa Mia and La Cantina in Carovigno a lot. Try the antipasta at La Cantina!

He is the absolute best.
Will Sanderson is probably the best host I’ve ever encountered thoughout my travels. He has thought of everything possible to make one’s stay pleasurable. He had lists of restaurants and things to do. The property is very family friendly. I was here by myself but I could see how much fun it would be to have a lovely family vacation here or even a family reunion. The gardens are lovely and his dog Badger was one of my highlights. One of the other things that make Will such a special host is that he was genuinely interested in my feed back on the property and some of the suggestions I made to him he implemented within a day or so. He is so invested in the clients time and goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome and comfortable.
If I could… I would give him many more stars
He is the absolute best.

Great Location for Exploring Puglia
Property was a cozy location for exploring Puglia. The host (Will) helped arrange a local nonna to cook a large Sunday dinner for us that we enjoyed all week, and also a local guide Emilio who was terrific

Awesome place
Our expectations were high for our stay here and I must saw we were not let down. Beautiful place set in the countryside but still close to a couple of towns. It has everything. From olive trees to almond trees. Fig trees to grape vines. Absolutely beautiful. There are even bikes there and miles of country roads to ride them on.
The owner Will is working on a house next door. He is the kinda of guy that once you meet him then he’s your friend. Very likable man. He has a lot of information to share on the surrrounding area. Couldn’t ask for a better host.
I would highly recommend this place. You won’t be let down. I hope we can stay here again.

We had a really good week. Will was extremely accommodating in getting a couple of the bicycles tuned nicely for our use, because he knew that was important to us (we rode 30-50K every day). After exploring other parts of Italy, this area was low key and quiet - precisely what we had hoped for. We enjoyed the views from the rooftop terrace, the character of the trulli rooms, and the outdoor spaces. Will encouraged us to eat the ripened grapes off the vine (yum!) and we also collected and cracked a bunch of almonds from the almond trees on the property (excellent!). The location was good, between Ostuni and Carovigno, and worked well as a base for exploring the area. We had the antipasti for two (at Wills recommendation) at La Cantina, and it was a really fun (and filling) experience. Touring the countryside by bike was stress-free due to low-traffic roads, and it was so interesting to see the trulli dotting the landscape. We also visited Alberobello - touristy but not overly crowded, with lots of photo opps, and some of the other nearby towns. The Adriatic Coast was very scenic, and our timing was great because the weather was wonderful but the beaches were practically deserted because it was off-season. Overall if you are seeking a remote location with a bit more of a rustic feel, we recommend this! Thanks, Will!
