Location! Comfort of rooms; excellent breakfasts; views from our room over the barranco.
8.0
great views from our room and lively historic building

Fabulous location for the main tourist attractions. Super helpful and friendly staff. Lots and lots of character in the hotel itself.
We liked and enjoyed it all, but please note that since the property is essentially carved into the mountain face that there are lots of stairs within the property itself if anybody in your party has serious mobility issues.

Best location! A short walk distance to great restaurants and night life. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely come back.

location and building Excellant

The view was fabulous. The posada is very old and full of atmosphere; we loved the irregular walls and sloping floors and period features, like the quirky doors to the balcony. The room, 32, was spacious and comfortable, with plenty of chairs, tables and lamps. The shower rose and water pressure were good. There was no noise at night...no traffic. Buffet breakfast came with the fabulous view.
The mattress needed a good thick mattress protector: I could feel the bumps and it disturbed my sleep. The bathroom door was catching on the floor tiles, making a loud scrrech.

Great location, very quiet and amazing views. The restaurant is great as well.

Excellent room with a stunning view over the valley. Unusual building with lots of interesting things to look at. The restaurant was very good and the prices reasonable- a thoroughly enjoyable experience.
Lack of parking meant it was a bit of a hike with bags, but we knew that in advance.

The view we had from our charming room with 2 balconies was enchanting
The breakfast isn't anything special

The location was ideal with stunning views. We also liked the posada for its architecture, character and history, we were looking for a place like this and it was a great finding. Staff very friendly and helpful.
The room we got didn't have A/C but we we asked for a fan which was enough along with the fresh air from the mountains / balcony

staff, clean, location, terrace
We visited during an extremely hot spell of weather and there was no A/C. If it had been cooler weather it would have been fine.

Absolutely fantastic views, superb location very nice room with 2 lovely balconies

I loved the terrace of my room . The view over the river gorge toward the parador is amazing. The location was excellent and the restaurant was good. My room was very clean and roomy.

Friendly staff, good restaurant, relaxing setting.
Lack of a/c could be a problem during hot summer days, however the nights were cool and comfortable.
8.0
Spectacular view from the balcony with two large chairs to sit and enjoy it. The facility exudes historic charm. We enjoyed a wonderful evening meal at the restaurant, with great views and service.
Although the room was spacious, the bed could have been larger. The bed and the pillows were uncomfortably hard. The lack of having a coffee maker or an electric kettle was a drawback.

The room was very traditional and quite quaint. The view was absolutely stunning! Looking out over the vast Cuenca valley; one I'll remember always.
Bed could have been a little more comfortable but it was ok.

Sensational view that has to be seen to be believed. Location is a hop, skip and jump away from Plaza Mayor and, aside from the Posada's own restaurant, there are eating and drinking places just moments away (although all are touristy and we found more appealing options in the livelier, less pretty, newer part of the town down the hill). Internally the room's furnishings and decor are humble but comfortable. Staff at the reception desk were warm and friendly.
Little to complain about really, although in this climate a small fridge in the room wouldn't have gone amiss.
10.0
Staff friendliness and helpfulness, views from room and dining room, breakfast, the local area
Restaurant not open some nights but plenty others nearby
Breakfast coffee not up to Spanish standards
9.0
the room, the view, the terrace, big bathroom
i didn't like coffee for breakfast-it was powder instant coffee. that's the only thing I would change

Gorgeous historic property with amazing views and wonderful rooms. Our room was on the third floor and had very sloping floors with two balconies and views. Very spacious historic decor with tables and seating spes and a wonderful bathroom. A basket full of toiletries that included toothbrush, toothpaste sewing kit and so much more! The bath and shower are out of this world. So pretty and expansive with a wonderful view of the gorge. Very nice staff that gave us ice for our champagne and helped us with a taxi the next morning and restaurant recommendations!
The beds and the pillows were a little firm for my taste.

Wow! Tremendous view of the gorge! Be sure to get a superior room. We had large suite with 2 large opening windows. All rooms are different and spread out over charming antique HÔTEL. Beautiful town. We only stayed 1 nite in the old town and it rained a lot was very charming. Staff friendly and spoke some English. 3 radiators in our room and two showers! Great wardrobe, tables and sofa, could use for hosting friends and families.
Quite far from train station. Had to order taxi. Old city did not have a taxi queue or many restaurants, this is Spain, so the siesta can be challenging for Inglese. Steep and windy streets not very pedestrian friendly. Probably recommend eating at hotel or on the plaza mayor to avoid steep dark streets. Easy train station with only 4 tracks. All outdoors.

If you want modern, this is not for you. If, on the other hand, you like character, comfort, individuality, history, then you will love it. Stunning views from dining room, close to the cathedral. Really lovely dinner also .
Well, parking is a bit of an issue , but that is not the fault of the hotel. There are paying car parks and you will have to walk a little. The room was a bit hot. Minor things, we loved the hotel.

Beautiful rooms, quirkily furnished. The terrace was large and had a beautiful view of the rocky hills and down into the gorge. The staff were welcoming and friendly. I would love to go back again.
The only thing I would change is that there were no tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Apart from that, it was perfect.

I was a bit dubious in booking this hotel as it was only 2/3* however j needn’t have worried. We had the room with the double balcony overlooking the gorge. Incredible position. couldn’t fault it. Stayed room only so can’t comment on the food.
The bed and pillows could have been comfier but your nights sleep in no way detracts from how beautiful Cuenca is
