About this house rental
Our changeover day from April to September is a Friday - this needs to be the check in and check out day for a 7 night stay and the check out day on 5-6 night stays
Fioran is a modern 5 bedroom house overlooking Seilebost beach on the spectacular west coast of Harris in the Outer Hebrides (Western Isles) off the west coast of Scotland. The house is easily accessed from the A859, which is the main road running north/south on the island. It is about 10 miles from Tarbert and the ferry to Uig in Skye, 50 miles from Stornoway, the airport and the ferry to Ullapool.
There is ample parking at the front plus a disabled ramp to the side, from which there is level access through the ground floor of the house.
The beach can be accessed via a gate at the back of the house.
The house can sleep up to 10 in 5 bedrooms. There are two king bedrooms (both with ensuite shower rooms), two twin bedrooms (one with ensuite shower room), a family bathroom and laundry room on the first floor. On the ground floor there is a double bedroom with ensuite shower room, which is suitable for disabled use if needed.
There is ample living space on the ground floor, with a large sitting/dining area with Sky tv including sport and movies, a DVD player (please bring your own dvds if you wish to use this) and sound bar. Double doors lead onto the conservatory, again with comfortable seating area and panoramic views across of Seilebost beach and across to Luskentyre. The views are wonderful in any weather and at any time of day - even the sunset can be enjoyed from that position.
The kitchen and pantry are behind the dining area and is very well-equipped with two ovens, an induction hob, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, toaster, kettle and Nespresso coffee machine (a complimentary tube of pods will be provided but if you are coffee lovers you may want to bring your own). Tesco will deliver groceries to Harris if you would like to book this online in advance. Please be warned that on Sundays almost everything on the island is closed though you would be able to eat out at several nearby restaurants.
There is an outside seating area overlooking the beach plus a separate studio with a pool table, darts board, seating and drinks fridge. Please not that this area is not wheelchair accessible.
A car is essential. If planning to arrive by ferry it is advisable to book your travel at the same time as your accommodation as it can get busy, especially from April until September.

There are shops, restaurants and other facilities at Tarbert (10 miles). You will also find the Harris distillery, which is producing a delicious gin that is proving very popular. They have a good cafe and run tours. Right next door is the Harris Tweed Company, which is well worth a visit. Out of Tarbert, the Golden Road will take you round the east of Harris, where the land falls steeply to the sea, there are gorgeous views to take in and art galleries to visit.
Seilebost is to the west of Tarbert and beyond Seilebost you will come to Horgabost (1.4 miles), where you'll find The Machair Kitchen restaurant. The Harris Golf Club (5 miles) is a links course and welcomes visitors - a round is paid for via an honesty box. Scarista House is just beyond that and is a well-known local hotel with a restaurant, at which non-residents can book a table. At Leverburgh (10.5 miles) there is The Anchorage restaurant overlooking the water. Further afield are the famous Callanish stones, where you'll also find a visitor centre and cafe.

We enjoyed a relaxed family holiday in this spacious house. Very well equipped, fabulous location and enough rooms and bathrooms for everyone to have a comfortable stay.
Kitchen had everything we needed.
Living room was comfortable and the kids loved the games room and Netflix on rainy afternoons!
Communication was great.
Easy to find and close to Tarbert port and shops.
Looking forward to our next stay on this beautiful island!

The property is bright and comfy, lots of space. Its location is perfect for exploring Harris and Lewis as it's close to Tarbert, not far from Leverburgh, and day trips to Stornoway/Callanish/the Butt of Lewis are easily manageable. It's a pity the website still claims the property comes with a golf club membership as this is no longer the case. It's clean enough in general but there's room for improvement. The kitchen is well-equipped, and the living room is gorgeous.

Well equipped and comfortable property in amazing location by the huge Seilebost beach, just minutes away from Luskentyre. Only 20 mins drive from Tarbert and well located for exploring south Harris. Owners responded promptly to a problem with the heating, excellent communication throughout. Would not hesitate to recommend and we would all love to return!

Fioran is a tremendously spacious, well equipped house for a good size family or bunch of friends. It’s in a lovely spot looking over to Luskentyre and with easy access to nearby beaches. We’re going back next year!

What a lovely time we had a Fioran! The whole house was kitted out with every thing needed! 10/10 from everyone staying!

This house was perfect! Comfortably big enough for 2 families to share. Everything worked and we loved using the house as a jumping off point for Harris and it’s stunning beaches. Would highly recommend..

Very spacious property with large rooms inc bedrooms. Excellent proactive help from our host Rana who informed us of ferry issues and made very helpful adjustments due to this. Rana went above and beyond. Great views over estuary and Luskentyre and light due to large windows. Well equipped although Sky box missing and one or two extra bits in the kitchen eg cafetière would have been helpful. However, great location and 5 star experience in 5 star property. Thank you

Easy to maintain and in a central location. There were nine of us staying, and kitchen equipment was a bit limited. Also no spare bin bag or vacuum bags.

From booking to rearranging due to covid and then staying Rana has been an amazing host.
Nothing was ever too much of a problem and the communication from start to finish was and has been excellent.
We stayed here from 2nd April until 8th April and managed to get an early checkin due to being the first guests of the season.
The house was ready for us coming off the early ferry so it meant we could unpack and be settled for just after 2pm.
Unfortunately we weren’t able to secure a Tesco slot as they’re so precious in Harris but we had booked a click and collect from Stornaway so a couple of us headed up there and we’re back for 3.30pm.
First impressions of the house are WOW 🤩
The pictures don’t do it any justice and it’s much more spacious than we could ever have imagined.
The sun room is such a fabulous space, especially on a nice day, which unfortunately we only had the day we arrived.
Most days were spent around the fire as the rain was constant. Luckily the games room allowed some much needed entertainment for the kids.
Be sure to pack some CD’s as there’s a player out there and let’s you have a wee party night whilst playing pool.
The rest of the house is amazing and bedrooms were lovely with open hanging space and also chest of drawers.
There’s drawers under some of the single beds too but be sure to check them before you leave 😱. Unfortunately my daughter unpacked and never checked there when we were leaving so Rana has so kindly arranged for the clothes to be posted to us.
The en-suite bathrooms in most bedrooms are a fantastic bonus. Just make sure you don’t all shower at once as we were caught out a few times and had to have cold showers as water had ran out.
The kitchen is so well stocked up with crockery, glasses, pots etc and there’s 2 dishwashers which is great for larger groups.
There’s also 2 fridge freezers and a huge pantry. The extra single fridge in the games room is also an added bonus.
Although a car is definitely needed to get around the island, you can walk to Seilebost beach, which in my eyes was nicer that Luskentyre and is also quieter.
Again, because we didn’t get much dry weather, we were limited to the amount of time we spent on the beach, however you won’t be disappointed. They’re stunning.
The wellies at the front door are a fab idea aswell as some of us didn’t have any with us.
If you’re planning to stay at this fabulous house, you will not be disappointed. We will definitely be back.

Fioran was a very spacious and comfortable ‘home’ from all that the Harris weather could through at us! Sited in a superb location for walking, kayaking and body surfing, we also managed to visit the standing stones and black houses on Lewis.

The property is very spacious and excellent for a large family/group as it provides ample rooms/areas that everyone can be together or have their own space. It is modern, clean and well presented and in an ideal location for exploring Harris and Lewis or just to sit and take in the views and watch the world go by.

Very comfortable, spacious, well appointed home. Very helpful hosts. Beautiful views across the inlet. The internet was down all week, but it turned out to be blessing in disguise and enabled us to truly switch off and relax

Overall excellent. Disappointing that no internet when advertised as being available, and apparently this had been situation for some time. "Beach" accessible from house is estuary sand/mud so not ideal for small children but great walking for adults and dogs at low tide.We thought this was a lovely house, very spacious and well equipped. Ideal for extended families on holiday. We've already recommended it to other friends!
