Just one night is ok and good value

Clean and located near to University of Coimbra very convenient. Walk from right of guest house to the wide staircase further down across the road. You can also walk to downtown via university. No hair dryer or kettle for tea or coffee. No grocery nearby. parking along road shoulder is free and easy on weekends. WiFi is good. Basic and simple.

No grocery store nearby for water or snacks.

A good budget accommodation where you can have a feeling of the old Coimbra.

Nice staff, well located basic accommodation. The room is small but enough for a person. Bed linen very clean and not old. Good shower and nice view from the window.

Check-in was a bit slow.

The location is very good, right next to the University of Coimbra, you can park on the roadside but not necessarily always available. The staff are friendly and the kitchen is large and fully equipped. The bed was comfortable.

The room was so small that I could barely fit a large suitcase. The bathroom is too cramped and there are occasional ants infested.

Great location and staff, but don't expect a comfortable stay

The spot was in a great spot near the university and the botanical gardens. It was within walking distance of amenities such as convenience stores and restaurants. The staff is fantastic and it's obvious that they work very hard in terms of keeping guests happy and keeping the place as clean as possible.

The room itself had uneven floors and a very low ceiling which made it feel like you were in a boat. It was also impossible to escape the noise and for the four nights we were there, I'd be surprised if we'd gotten more than 15 hours of sleep in total. There's constant partying that goes on well beyond 5AM as the area houses a few nightclubs. There are also ants everywhere.

Cheap but a bit dirty

+ A good place near the botanical garden. + Check out until noon. + The price is amazing.

- Floors in the whole place are uneven seems like you are on a boat, might be a benefit for someone though. - Also, the toilet in the room stinks, the bed cover was a bit dirty in the corners and some ants were coming from the toilet even though we were on the second floor.

Best value!

Very good for the price. Nice area, pretty close to the historic downtown. The lady on the desk was very nice and helpful.

The only bad thing was the musty smell in the room, the rest was ok.

The room looked bigger on the pictures and it also said 'courtyard view' upon booking yet we got a room by the street

Great value at a friendly place

Very friendly and helpful host! We appreciated bag storage before check in. Good recommendation of home cooked Portuguese cooking restaurant. Nice to have a sink in our room & shared multiple bathrooms. We were glad to see that there was a nice kitchen to use. Comfy beds.

Location is good, but a bit far from city center. Walkable distance and there were plenty of things not too far away

Pleasant

Short but pleasant. The room and wc was clean and even though it is an old building it's clear that it is well maintained. Had a TV and even though without AC, it had a kind of fan that easied the heat. Great location and I was able to easily find car parking close by. Lots of nearby restaurants and places and very close to praca da Republica.
