About this villa rental
This beautiful property is located inside the walls of the historical Medieval Town of Rhodes. While it is a few steps away from historical monuments, ancient attractions, shops, bars and restaurants, the area is very quiet.
The house is split in two levels; the ground floor area consists of a fully equipped kitchen with brand new appliances: fridge, dishwasher, washing machine, espresso maker, hob and oven. There is also a living room on the ground floor with two large comfy sofas and a 43" UHD 4K TV with Netflix. On the first floor there are two separate bedrooms with new king size beds and a shared bathroom. There's an outdoor area on the ground floor with a dinning table for 6 people that is surrounded by colorful plants and a huge palm tree. Our guests are more than welcome to use the bbq equipment. There is also a separate area on the ground floor where the second bathroom is located.

You do want to stay here!
It's roomy, clean, well appointed and well situated.
The beds are comfy. Full kitchen. Shower upstairs & bathtub in a little bathhouse in the courtyard. AND the architecture is really interesting as part of the Old City.
Sitting room downstairs is a perfect place to lounge. AND
Be aware of biting bugs outside (mosquitos & biting flies). Bring citronella candles or coils.
If coming from USA/America - note that much of UK has a preference for What'sApp as a communication medium. Our host was extremely pleasant & helpful - once we realized we'd been missing each other on messaging platforms.
The air conditioning in the villa is in 2 places - 1 unit in each bedroom. It was enough to get out of the heat, but not enough to truly cool off for us.
Our stay was during the height of the 2023 heatwave and during the devastating fires that burned ~10%. What you saw in the news is not what we experienced at the North end of the Island of Rhodes.
Staying *in* a living medieval city is pretty awesome. You're off the main area so it's quiet - but still near to everything. The villa is a short walk from one of the main gates into the Old City. It's a doable walk even with big luggage - just make sure that luggage has wheels. The gate is named St. Athanasius but local drivers know it is the San Francisco gate.
When you stay - make SURE to visit Stavros' English Pub. just up the little street & if you're a futbol (aka soccer) fan, bring him a scarf to put up.

We loved the location and the privacy! Very quiet, and you have a secluded courtyard. The beds were comfy too! Thank you also for arranging our taxis!

We had a wonderful holiday in Leonidas beautiful house. Everything we needed was there and perfect. We especially loved the patio. A quiet place to retreat after a day of sightseeing.
And Leonidas himself was very helpful. Any questions we had were solved in no time at all.
We will be back fore sure!

The listing for this property promised its superb location and ambiance, and it did not disappoint. We enjoyed the many different spaces within the home - the courtyard, the living room, the two bedrooms (one with loft), the two bathrooms (one with tub), the kitchen. The only caution I would offer is that for those with limited mobility, there are a lot of stairs that need to be navigated. Other than that, I couldn’t recommend it more highly!

We loved our oasis in the old town of Rhodes - excellent location, easily walkable to all the sights and restaurants and shops. Host was very responsive and provided recommendations for restaurants in the area. The house itself was wonderful - full of character and very comfortable.

The house was just as described with an interesting interior & great location .
The instructions for the check in were confusing as there was one code and then a paragraph says there is a new code. We figured it out. A big plus was instructions to the washing machine and Dw.
The house had lots of steps and lots of windows making all but the lr nice and bright. Very comfortable king size bed.
It’s about a 5-7 minute walk to the gate for taxi or parking if rental car.
A couple evenings we couldn’t get on Netflix’s as 2 others were already using it.
Dining locations recommended by property mgr were very good.
Definitely would recommend a stay here.

The perfect place to stay for your trip to Rhodes town. Very clean and perfectly located in the old town of Rhodes. Everything is within walking distance, but you should be able to walk on uneven pebble pavements. There are quaint alleys around, cute cafés and bakeries, as well as nice little taverns and shops. You can find beautiful spots and quiet parts, apart from the mass tourism. This might also depend on the season you travel. In September there were still plenty of people and cruise ships visiting Rhodes. We still very much enjoyed our stay in the town and in the house. There was plenty to do and see for the week we stayed there, and of course still time to relax in the nice patio. The bedrooms are air conditioned which we used to cool down the temperature in the rooms, but did not run it permanently. If you are very sensitive to noise don't forget some earplugs. I didn't need them but can imagine that someone with a light sleep might use them. There are some scooters and late homecomers passing by during the night, but apart from that the area is quiet. The second bathroom is in a little annex. We didn't use it as we were just two and could share the bathroom in the house. One comment on the transfer: we were awaited at the airport, everything was well organized. The only thing I want to "complain" about is that the driver dropped us off at night outside the city and just said “go straight in the city and then left, it is easy to find". Very few information. He should have added to turn left a second time at the old bakery. But hey, we found the address. There were some very nice people at the first corner sitting outside their shop and asked if they could be of help.
Last but not least I would like to mention the good communication with Leonidas, who during the whole booking process and stay always responded quickly and gave valuable tips. Although we had a little problem with the check in as I didn't receive the check in information in advance. Obviously some technical problems with the automatic email occured, which can happen as we all know. Everything worked out fine in the end. I would like to thank Leonidas again for his support and hospitality! If I will visit Rhodes again one day, I hope Villa Belvedere is free and I can book it...

The old city was extremely interesting for us for walking and exploring the old quarters. The accommodation was very pleasant on two floors and with a very pleasant courtyard. We were in Rhode off tourist season in February however the weather was very pleasant for us to walk to the various restaurants that were open. Our feet got quite used to the cobblestones in the numerous pleasant small narrow streets which we explored. The owner was very pleasant and cooperative to deal with.

The villa was clean and comfortable. The unit itself has good size rooms and has an excellent location.
There are 2 bathrooms. One inside and one that is actually very large and newly renovated but it is in the courtyard and not in the main house. The inside shower is extremely small. We are not big people so we had no problem but if you are big or tall you will need to shower in the detached bathroom.
The only thing that I felt could have been better was the exchange of keys/ address etc. because it is within the walled city, you cannot drive to the villa. The property manager gave me google maps and walking directions but if you are not from Greece you may need to be connected to WiFi so google directions are useless. It was an adventure finding the place. Additionally , in July, someone should have stopped by and turned the A/C in the bedrooms before we arrived .We walked a mile theough cobblestone streets and when we arrived the villa was truly stifling.
I would 100% rent the villa again. We had the most amazing time and were very comfortable once we got settled in. Leonidas was very helpful once we were connected to WiFi and could better communicate. He offered advice on excursions and food. He checked in with me every day to make sure things were running smoothly.
It was a neat home with a really cool vibe!

We enjoyed a week in this characterful house. It is in a quiet part of the old town, but close to restaurants, and not far to supermarket and small shops. Nicely restored with beautiful courtyard, and very comfortable beds
