About this villa rental
This spacious architect-designed house is furnished to a high standard with several original art pieces. It lies in peaceful wooded surroundings, and is reached at the end of a private road in a residential area, where you will find beautiful woodland and canal sidewalks. The property has extensive terracing and its own gardens, including large swimming pool. It is an ideal base for a holiday exploring the Cote D'Azur and Provence, with the famous Mougins Village a few minutes’ drive away.
External Location & Facilities: The property is accessed through secure electronically operated gates. The property lies within its own grounds with ample parking at the rear for several vehicles. The forest area around the villa is owned but there is a more secure set of gardens that are tended by a gardener and also included the swimming pool with extensive terracing. The pool is 11m x 5.5m mosaic tiled, it is heated by the sun and looked after by a specialist pool company who will visit once a week in high season to perform cleaning and maintenance. The villa is equipped with a plancha, as well as lots of external garden furniture for your enjoyment, and shady pergolas to dine and linger under. There is also a pétanque court 12m x 4m, table tennis and a baby football table for guests to enjoy. The villa is powered by solar panels including water heating.
Internal Layout & Facilities: The property is spacious with high ceilings (reaching 6m in the living area), with wide corridors and stairs. The entrance hall is on the same level as the upper bedrooms with their own loggia and access to the garden. Upstairs there is a contemporary bathroom to complement the en suite shower rooms, and separate toilets. There is a mezzanine area over the kitchen which is a stunning viewpoint to the lounge area.
The 5 bedrooms are all air conditioned. Upstairs there is a double and single both with showers en suite. There is additionally a separate bathroom and toilets. Each upper bedroom accesses an upper loggia which means the outside can be accessed directly including access to the pool by the upper terrace staircase.
The downstairs also has 3 bedrooms - one room with 2 singles, and shower and a master bedroom suite with double queen size bed, which includes a Japanese bathroom, shower and separate area. There is a separate bedroom/study with single bed, desk and its own oval wooden terrace area. Linen & bathroom towels, pool towels included. There is also a baby cot/high chair available.
Inside the living area is open plan and spacious. The kitchen has red granite work surfaces, two sink areas, a long bar and equipped with top of the range appliances/culinary aids for budding chefs. These include Miele ovens, including steam oven, plates warmer, microwave, Nespresso machine, mixing machine, toaster, induction plaque and extractor fan, dishwasher, fridge and separate freezer unit. Just off the kitchen is a separate laundry with a second fridge, washing machine, tumble dryer etc. The kitchen connects to a separate dining area with large table and chairs and onto large terraces for alfresco dining/lounging. The large terrace will comfortably seat guests under the pergola for summer dining.
Open Living & Dining: The living area is spacious and open plan with living, dining area, bar and kitchen all working together. The main living has 2 leather sofas, and TV with Chromecast. This area in the summer can be accessed through large sliding internal doors which recess into the walls, making the whole space connect with the exterior gardens & terracing.

The house was spacious and comfortable, and the kitchen was the best equipped that we’ve experienced. The garden was beautiful with plenty of space for our two wee grandsons, and the pool was perfect. A quiet location but close to many amenities with plenty to do and see nearby.

My family and myself had a fabulous holiday while staying at beautifull Villa Canelle. Its location is perfect for visiting the quaint surrounding villages e.g Mougin, Valbonne and St Paul de Vence and is only a 15min drive to the coast. Having said that, we enjoyed the villa and all its amenities so much, we had to force ourselves to leave the villa to get in the car to explore! The gardens are large and beautifully landscaped with lots to do to keep you entertained! We all had fun playing petanque on the private petanque court, having table tennis tournaments and playing table football! The pool is fabulous! It is huge and in the hot weather, was irresistible!
Inside, the villa is very spacious, modern in design and is immaculate. It has every modern amenity you could ask for. The owners, Nathalie and Nigel are perfect hosts, so helpful and kind and always available if you have any questions. Thank you both! I have absolutely no hesitation in highly recommending beautiful Villa Canelle and we hope to return again some day soon.

My family had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Villa Canelle - it's a beautiful property in a convenient location, within a short drive of many shops and local amenities.
The villa itself is exactly as pictured in the many photos - gardens are beautifully landscaped and maintained, and the layout of the living space, plus all the bedrooms, worked really well for our family (my parents, brother and sister-in-law plus their baby, and myself, husband and two kids!). The attention to detail and thought that has gone into the property was much appreciated - even down to every room having it's own colour coded pool towels so nobody got confused!
The owner/property manager Nathalie could not have been more helpful - all communication was extremely professional prior to our stay, with a wealth of information, and we had a few requests which seemed no trouble at all. Nathalie even went out of her way to help us when our daughter needed some medical assistance which was hugely appreciated.
The area is also great for families - just a few minutes down the road there is a trampoline park, bouldering park and indoor soccer arena etc. so when the kids got too hot playing in the garden/pool, we had lots of options!
We highly recommend this beautiful property, and hope to return again soon.

Beautiful villa, a wonderful holiday!
Wonderful villa nestled in the hills near Mougins. Very well equipped with everything you would need for a relaxing holiday. Children and adults alike enjoyed the pool and dining and in the fantastic outdoor eating area. In a very peaceful location but yet within 5 mins drive there are numerous excellent supermarkets. Plus there are villages nearby for restaurants to drive to.
There is so much to do in the area to suit all tastes from visiting beautiful villages (Mougins, Valbonne) or exploring the coastline (Antibes was a favourite beach and shopping place). For those that want to travel slighly further, Nice, Monaco are easy to reach either via car or train from Cannes. Some of our group enjoyed a night at the Allianz stadium watching Nice play football. Easy to get to and free parking. A great experience for the teenage boys.

Отдыхали на вилле вдвоем, но на самом деле можно разместиться и большой компанией. Места много.все устроено очень удобно и современно. Красивый вид с площадки перед домом. Соседей не видно и не слышно. Бассейн приспособлен как для детей так и для взрослых. Есть все необходимое . Немного сложно найти виллу в первый раз..но потом все просто. Недалеко до магазина, автобусной остановки в Канны. Рядом очень красивый тихий городок, где можно погулять и перекусить. Спасибо большое хозяйке за гостеприимство. И Клэр за помощь.

L'équipement est complet, pour les grands et les petits, régulièrement renouvelé par les propriétaires. Tout est conforme au descriptif de la location, il y en a même des fois plus. la maison est très propre et très bien entretenus.
Les propriétaires mettent tout en place pour que l'utilisation de la maison soit optimale et que les vacances puissent se dérouler sans soucis.

tout est conforme au descriptif. l'équipement est très complet. Tout est très propre et très bien entretenu.
les propriétaires sont d'une gentillesse remarquable et vous réserve le meilleur des accueils, ce qui est fort agréable après un voyage de plusieurs heures.
Nous nous rendrons durant l'été 2018 pour la seconde fois dans cette villa. Nous avons hate d'essayer le nouveau terrain de pétanque.

Höchste Ansprüche werden erfüllt
Diese Villa in Mougins erfüllt die höchten Ansprüche. Wunderschön ausgestattet, herrliche Aussichten, freundlich und hilfsbereite Besitzer: es war alles perfekt. Die Ausstattung ist gehoben und geschmackvoll. Die Mosaik Kunstwerke der Besitzerin ein Highlight : hier achtet man auf alle Details und man fühlt sich sofort zu Hause. Man ist sehr schnell in Cannes und hat alles was die Stadt zu bieten hat in unmittelbare Nähe, und kann dennoch hier in Mougins die wunderbare Ruhe geniessen. Tolle Wanderwege direkt hinter dem Haus wo man bis nach Grasse laufen kann, wenn man will. Wir werden definitiv wieder hinfahren : absolut zufrieden.

Amazing place, great vacations
We enjoyed this house and the location. It is calm, the view is great (sunset garanteed), the design of the house, the confort and the taste of everything inside and outside. The garden and the swimming pool are great. The neighbors are far away and it is not a problem to have late dinner on the terrasse with friends and children.
Mougins is a beautiful village and there is so much to see around
The maintenance of the property, the quality of the kitchen appliances, the bed confort, the service provided and the environment were at the top
We will probably come back next year.

Beautiful Villa
A very beautiful villa in a lovely location. Everything was as described-very private- wonderful extras we enjoyed were the grand piano (which they had tuned for us), the baby foot (table football), table tennis, and the Japanese tub. Beautiful garden, pool and view. Very important-the owners were always available and so kind and helpful along with their housekeeper -also very kind and helpful. Highly recommended.

Wonderful house, great location for sea & mountain
Having had 10 days in Villa Canelle, we'd like another 10. Nigel and Nathalie have put together a wonderful house combining the practicalities and hi-tech of modern living with some unique designer touches (red granite kitchen tops, Japanese bath - awesome) and amazing open indoor and outdoor space.
We love Antibes and especially its market (though other visitors seem to claim Cannes wins there) and had a wonderful day climbing down the rocks to an almost private cove just past Theoule-sur-Mer. Lots of arty stuff - from famous (Matisse, Picasso etc) to some really quite good local art as close as Mougins. Check out the local restaurants at Mouans-Sartoux - walkable and lower priced than the tourist destinations. Liberal use of google maps means you can run to the hills - via the canal - in about 10 mins. Then you can find some challenging ascent if that's your thing.
We ate outside almost every evening (in September) - the open doors/windows make it super-easy. Best road trip was to Vence (Matisse Chapelle du Rosaire) via Tourettes-sur-Loup during which we also came across lovely Valbonne. A gem of a town and market.
Overall - highly recommended and thank you to Nigel and Nathalie - you have a beautiful home in a wonderful place.

Another fantastic week in this beautiful Villa!
If you want to find a villa in the South of France that is modern, comfortable, quiet and very well equipped then I bet you don't find anywhere better than this.
We came back for the second year running and loved it. The beds are really comfy (plus there is quiet, efficient aircon in all the bedrooms), everywhere is spotlessly clean, the pool (salt water not chlorine) is great, all the electrical stuff works, there is table tennis and table football. Plus the Weber BBQ is fab. Last but not least, the owners are a pleasure to deal with - thanks again Nigel and Natahlie!

A wonderful house!
A wonderful house in great surroundings! The description of the house is accurate, the property is clean and it is well maintained. The owners are very keen to help with any information you might need. The garden is lush and the pool is very nice. There is a nice long walk along a canal just by the house which is a big plus if you like running. We (six persons) spent two great weeks here and we all could indeed recommend the house others.

We had the loveliest time in the villa, everything was just as we hoped.
Beautifully designed with plenty of space. Loved having the big wide open sliding doors, the generous amount of bathrooms and the beautiful garden and pool.
We sat outside most nights, 5 adults, and enjoyed the BBQ with food purchased from Cannes market (open every morning except Monday, amazing) and the nearby supermarkets, of which we were spoilt for choice) and swimming pool, which you can light up for night time swims. The 'boys' loved the table football and we all enjoyed the table tennis.
An added delight were the fireflies!
We particularly appreciated it's location, very close to Cannes but also to the stunning mountains, lakes and villages nearby. We had day visits to Grasse, Cannes, Verdon Gorge (spectacular, some of us went kayaking here), The Luberon, Nice, Monte Carlo, Iles de lerins.. by boat from Cannes (beautiful), we even spent a day in Imperia in Italy visiting a superb state of the art olive museum and Italian produce store, the coastal drive down was simply spectacular!
Several days were spent, by popular demand, snorkeling/lazing/eating from the private beach at Plage Chez Joseph, Chemin de la Garoupe, Cap d'Antibes. Plenty of public free parking and then you can hire loungers by the half day or full day, approx 10 to 20 euros each but you do get superb waiter service for drinks etc, and constant attentive with spare towels, extra sun umbrellas etc. and a very nice restaurant, all with views of some of the biggest yachts in the world moored in the bay. A real treat!

Schöne Villa mit sehr schönem Pool
Wir waren mit 2 Familien mit Kindern in der Villa. Sie ist sehr gut eingerichtet, in der Küche gibt es wirklich nichts was fehlt! Gepflegter Weber-Gasgrill, 2 Kühlschänke, Nespresso Kaffeemaschine mit Milchaufschäumer. Sehr schöner Poolbereich, gut gepflegt. Tischtennisplatte und Tischkicker fast neu.Die Bäder in den Zimmern sind etwas klein, ist aber nicht schlimm da es zwei zusätzliche große Bäder gibt. Sehr nette Vermieter, die uns viele Tips gegeben haben auch für Ausflüge, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten usw. Werden wir bestimmt mal wieder buchen, ein sehr gepflegtes Haus, empfehlen wir unbedingt weiter!

It was so nice to enjoy such a peaceful retreat in the nature, forest all around though so close from all facilities
( the 2 supermarkets are down the road and the villages of Mouans-Sartoux and Mougins less than 3 km away to go for a drink or a nice restaurant). The modern and spacious architect house is very pleasant to live and nicely equipped. We can very easily share with 2 families and enjoy our privacy as all bedrooms even the children have en suite bathrooms. The big space around the pool and garden is ideal for nice dinners and shared time to spend with friends or family

Un petit coin de paradis!
Nous avons passe un sejour fantastique. La maison est spacieuse, tres propre et extremement bien equipee. Ayant ete construite recemment, tout est neuf. Les lits sont tres confortables, la salle de bain japonaise est un regal avec la vue sur le jardin. Les pieces a vivre sont baignees dans la lumiere et la cuisine en open plan se prete extremement bien au mode de vie estival.Nous avons adore avoir un acces direct au jardin depuis le salon et la cuisine
Le jardin est grand, entoure de verdure et les enfants ont pu jouer en toute securite.La piscine et le reste du jardin profitent du soleil toute la journee, du matin au soir, un detail que nous avons tous vraiment apprecie!
L'emplacement de la maison est ideal, nichee au bout d'un chemin au calme et sans vis a vis.
Des vacances tres reussies et tres reposantes en grande partie grace au confort et a l'emplacement de la maison. Nous reviendrons!

vielen Dank für die schönen 9 Tage. Unsere Familie (8 Erwachsene + 1 Kleinkind) hat sich sehr wohl gefühlt.
Die Ausstattung ist super und alles ist sauber und gepflegt. Die Hausumgebung ist ruhig und war für uns sehr erholsam. Besonders der Pool hat es uns angetan. Auch im Oktober kann man ihn noch benutzen. Wir können das Haus nur weiterempfehlen :-)
Nathalie und Nigel sind klasse Gastgeber. Für unsere Fragen hatten sie immer ein offenes Ohr.

Beautiful villa in a great location
The villa is beautifully equipped and very spacious. We went on holiday with our friends and the layout meant that we could have one family upstairs and one downstairs. All bedrooms had en-suite facilities and there were plenty of towels both for the bathrooms and pool.
The villa is just down the road from a supermarket so it was easy to get supplies and it was also easy to get to Cannes and Antibes via car.
The views from outside are lovely and our kids spent hours in the pool and on the table tennis. I would not hesitate to recommend this villa or to go there again.

Beautiful Family Holiday
We recently stayed at Villa Cannelle with our young children (3 and 18mths) . The villa is beautiful, recently decorated and with lovely grounds. All the amenities needed are in the villa, the kitchen is very well equipped. The house is set well up into the forest but once driven its quite easy to find and the views are lovely. The pool is large and was a nice temperature , its a salt pool but this is so mild you will never notice and we actually preferred it to chlorinated pools. Our children had a fantastic time there and it proved a quite ideal holiday home.

A vacation to remember
We were two families from Norway looking for a place to stay on the Riviera. Our demands was 4 bedrooms, a swimming pool for swimming, (not only bathing) and in a quiet area. After searching the net, we found HomeAway as the best provider. After picking out 10 subjects, a family meeting decided that La Canelle should be our choice. We did not regret that.
Some of our party muttered some concerns when we late in the evening drove up through the woods, but when the woods opened up, and we saw the house and the view, everyone was happy.
We were very friendly met by the owners, and shown around the property, before we sat down with a glass of wine to discuss the possibilities of our stay.
The next day, seeing the property in daylight, we took a good liking to it, and ended up staying in and around the house more than we intended. Sunbathing, swimming and cooking. Since some of our party was very happy with cooking, and the kitchen was so well equipped, we ate more at home than on restaurants.
Being almost new on the rental market, we expected, and experienced, a clean, well maintained and tidy property.
Our time was of course also spent on doing the regular sightseeing stuff. Situated as it is in Mougins, with short travelling distances to all Provence, we went to Monaco, Nice, Cannes, St. Tropez and Grasse. We saw the Gorges du Verdon and Les Grottes de St. Cezaire. Some of us even went to see one stage of Tour de France, and to Cremona in Italy.
We can warmly recommend this villa for people who want to spend some quality time on the Riviera.
