Super property which used to be the only local shop in the village - ideal location for our trip down memory lane in the West Kirby / Heswall / Caldy & Liverpool area. Host very responsive. Parking for one large car or two smaller cars at front of property with ample overspill just 50 yards away towards the Fox & Hounds. Would highly recommend the property & location.

Wirral Stay
Excellently equipped property, spacious and comfortable. Hosts provide all the basics, tea, coffee, sugar, milk, cleaning items, etc. It really is like a home from home. We have no hesitation in recommending this property and would very happily stay there again.

Great location for family visiting Wirral
My family (2 adults, 3 children) recently traveled from USA to stay at the Barnston property for 9 nights. The house was a great base for us as we traveled in the area. It was well equipped for our family and more spacious that a hotel room.
The kitchen and dining area were well equipped for us to prepare and have meals at the home. The only downside was there is no dishwasher. There is ample parking in front of the home and when we had visitors, there was a car park nearby.
The host was very responsive to my messages and all my requests were met. We asked for one of the rooms to be made up with two single beds (instead of the king) and that was done upon arrival. We also asked to get in a little before check-in time and the host graciously extended that request too. The host also left tea, coffee, cookies, milk, bottled water and crisps for us upon arrival.
If we visit the area again, we will look into staying here.

Great house, very good facilities
Very welcoming house, superbly appointed. Only drawback was the noise from a very busy main road in front of house.

Ideal base for exploring the locale.
Surprisingly sized and well kitted out accommodation. Everything we needed was provided and in working order. The garden, whilst not ideal for very young children, was a very welcome addition on the (few) sunny days we had there. Nearby Heswall has all the shops you might require for supplies and there are many, many eateries within a short radius. Away from the main towns are numerous quiet, secluded beaches. We will be returning.

What a fantastic location and wonderful home to stay in for our short holiday. The house was so lovely and clean and very cosy. The two bathrooms looked newly done, the bedrooms plenty big enough with comfortable bedding and towels. It was a fantastic location for exploring Liverpool, Chester and the Wirral. Communication with Cary was brilliant and we could not have enjoyed ourselves more. Would highly recommend the home for a superb stay. The local pub Fox and Hounds was also great for a meal out within 2 mins walk from the house.

The house is right on a fairly busy road, so first impressions were not strong. But inside the house is large, beautifully decorated and comfortable, and the kitchen is well equipped for the days I had to cook for the four of us. Questions I had for the property manager were answered very quickly. The property is a short walk to an EXCELLENT pub, the Fox & Hounds, where we ate twice. The house is also right next to a public footpath that is an easy 1 mile walk into the centre of Heswall, and connects with a number of other terrific footpaths. The restaurants we ate at locally are very good, with friendly service. For visiting Liverpool, we drove up to Leasowe where you can park at the station all day for free. We enjoyed our time in the Wirral very much.

Good, comfortable accommodation
Good, comfortable accommodation. Everything clean and functioning.
Back garden a bit neglected, it would have nice if back lawn had been mowed.

The house was very clean, warm and inviting. We travelled from Australia, which is a very long flight. We were welcomed with a bottle of wine a couple beers and some nibbles to help us to unwind which I thought was a lovely touch :). The property had everything you could wish for to make it a home from home. It was very clean, comfortable and very well located. The property was cleaned and beds changed after 5 days. The internet was good and all appliances were in good condition. We had an unseasonal heat wave when we stayed which most properties are not set up for. We purchased a fan to help with airflow which the owner offered to pay for. The owner and management team were exceptional and really made an effort to make our stay comfortable. We would recommend this property and would have no hesitation in booking to stay again. Thank you Cary, we really enjoyed our stay at your property :)

The property is lovely inside with a large rear garden
Six of us stayed here for a weekend and all had our own bed. I slept on the sofa bed, which was extremely comfortable with very nice quality bedding.
The house is very tastefully done and had everything we needed for our stay.
Highly recommended!
