The hotel position on the hillside gave wonderful views. A super breakfast - thank you Maria. Beautiful restful surroundings with lots of flowers. An inviting swimming pool. Room cleaned daily. Free shuttle to and from town- thank you Peter. Friendly, welcoming and attentive manager. Nothing was too much trouble - thank you Alexander.

The view is amazing, breakfast very good, owners very friendly and accommodating. Rooms cleaned and beds changed every day, AC, lovely pool with a bar. We will miss this place.

Great views, staff were very friendly and accommodating. Pool was a god send as it was very hot. Very clean and the water was a good temperature. The snack bar was good, reasonably priced and very good portions. There were two restaurants very close, one of which we went to a few times. Again great views and good prices. We walked down into the main town area most nights where there is a good selection of restaurants and a few nice bars. The hotel does a free drop off and pick up which again is good as due to the heat, some nights we didn't fancy the walk up the hill, although there is a cut through short cut it's still quite steep. We used the hotel shuttle service to and from the airport, which was simple to arrange and hassle free. A number of guests we met were repeat visitors, which is always a good sign.

Excellent breakfast. The pool was very enjoyable, especially with the wonderful view.
The taverna close to the hotel was excellent
We almost booked for a second night but had commitments.
Only downside was that the shower in our room was very small.
Ok for me but very confining for my husband

Staff were amazing. The views were just beautiful! It is clean and serves the purpose of a serviceable stay. Air/heat works well and effectively. Getting to the hotel on the hillside is quite challenging and a little heart stopping but this is not something Oceanis has control over. You just need to be okay with very steep hills/roads to get there. A really good taverna is right down the road so you don't have to navigate the hills if you don't want to.
It would be nice for the rooms to have a little more comfortable seating. It rained 2 of the days we were there so stuck inside for a bit. Otherwise the breakfast was great!

it was as expected from other reviews. staff very helpful, rooms clean, breakfast plentifully and good choice and of course the wonderful views. we had a standard room with shower and a premium room with bath which was about 15% bigger. If booking be mindful that there are lots of steps within the hotel. We travelled with our 83 year old very fit mum and she just about coped but if you have limited mobility then this may not be the hotel for you. You really need to have a car as it’s a bit of a walk down to the harbor and town but the hotel does provide a free shuttle service. Its not a fancy hotel but perfect for a base to explore this wonderful island. Also had a pool, table tennis table and car arrange car hire and day trips. Very happy to recommend.
Not a dislike, just be aware lots of steps.

Enjoyed staying at this hotel. Very peaceful by the pool with good views. Excellent breakfast with a good latte / expresso machine.
A waste bin in the bedroom would be good - in addition to the one in the bathroom.

The view from the balcony was fabulous, the staff was very nice and helpful, the breakfast had sufficient options and was delicious (the variety of Greek traditional cheeses was very tasty), the room was spacious enough, the cleaning was made everyday. All in all we don’t regret booking this hotel and would definitely recommend it to anyone coming in Kefalonia.
Nothing to complain about, maybe the mattress could be more soft, but that doesn’t lower the quality of this hotel.

We have just returned from a lovely weeks holiday at the Hotel Oceanis.
Alexander and his family, father Peter, Mother Maria and sister Eva were the perfect hosts, always very helpful , happily offering to give us lifts to the beach and back, as we didn't have a car. The hotel also had a lovely pool area with sunbeds always free. There was also a nice bar where we could get a drink and a snack for lunch.
The breakfast was amazing , especially the vast selection of greek cheeses and Marias home baked cakes and pastries, which were so delicious. It was so delightful to come down to breakfast every morning, in the wonderful seating area, outside overlooking the mountains, harbour and coastline.
The hotel is situated in a lovely quiet spot on a hill with local taverns nearby, amazing views too.
Our room was cleaned everyday and fresh towels, sheets given when needed.
The room fridge was also restocked daily.
We hope to return again oneday.
Maybe the bedroom shower needs updating.

I loved our room, the warmth of the service we received and the free shuttle to and from local areas.
The wasps at breakfast .
We ate outside on the terrace so I am not sure how you would deal with this though.

We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel - the family & staff were friendly, helpful and always available and our room, a triple suite on the top floor, exceeded our expectations. I had previously contacted the hotel to ask about the room and the view from the balcony, and it was better than expected - we had a sweeping view of the port, Poros town and the sea out to Ithaca.
Breakfast was enjoyable, there were plenty of options, from bread, cheeses, fruits, jams and cereal, there was also eggs and sausages available. The view out to breakfast, again of the sea and neighbouring islands and lands was lovely.
We had a couple of pool todays, it is a very good size with lots of seating and the view again, really great.
There wasn't anything in particular. For us the walk down to Poros town was manageable, we found steps that led to the road, which is then a short walk to the port and then town. This might be difficult for families with small children but it is clear there is a shuttle from the hotel, which you could book.
