Beautiful chateau. The setting for the dinner in the courtyard was sublime
9.0 / 10.0
The chateau is magic, an amazing place to stay for a couple of nights. It has been restored completely, super comfortable bedding, regal style.
The pool is rather small. Be nice to have a continental option for breakfast v full buffet. The full buffet is rather expensively priced, although a generous spread.

Stunning location. Secure motorbike parking. Lovely team and the most amazing dinner. If your lucky enough to have a stay here do have dinner. We were so happy that dinner was offered at time of booking.

A stylish and memorable Château
It was a little pricey overall, but château hotels usually are!

Beautiful chateau, very peaceful, excellent food, the dinner was superb.
As Brits we like tea making facilities in the bedroom for that early morning cuppa, with assorted tea sachets and milk available. Also a fridge would be helpful.

Courtyard restaurant nice, food ok, staff average.
Location poor. Grounds very small. Room decor poor. Not very comfortable. Very expensive. Wouldn’t go again.

This is a historic property with wonderful turrets and stone staircases, with a lovely courtyard.
It was obviously renovated many years ago, and everything seemed rather tired/old. The sad part is that the location of the castle is pretty awful, it’s surrounded quite closely by 1950s industrial buildings. We also felt very sorry for the maitre d at dinner who single handedly was trying to cope with a full restaurant, serving highly priced food & drink, with the aid of nervous inexperienced staff.

Breakfast was as expected with fresh fruit, yoghurt, pastries and bread. Restaurant offered very good food and very good wine at reasonable prices. Pool and gardens were lovely. Courtyard setting of restaurant gave a great atmosphere. Easy to visit Cathar castles from here.

The Hotel is stunning and the staff / owners are just amazing. The most friendly and tentative hotel owner we had the pleasure of meeting through the whole of France. Can't fault the hotel itself in anyway and the stunning grounds next to the river are beautiful.
Everything was perfect.

Very rural. Small castle located in village.
Great for driving holiday. Free parking on site.
Very good restaurant with fine french dining.
Very pleasant staff.
Nice small outdoor pool and tennis court.
Located next to river.
This is a return trip.
The village is very quiet ( but fine for me).
Slow internet in room (thick castle walls) but fine in courtyard.

Great location and ambience. Dinner was excellent on Sunday.
On the Monday we had a long wait for our dinner and the food could have been hotter. We felt disappointed.
Owners ad Staff were very friendly and helpful.
More that there was no day room to sit when the weather was not so good. Gardens were nice but the weather turned against us, a little bit.
Couina is well placed for exploring the Cathar countryside and the wine region
