We loved the property, it was a hidden gem in

We had own breakfast basket delivered to our door, it was very generous so we had all the leftovers as snack for all day. The location is amazing with spectacular view, the gardens are very beautiful, the place is very private with only 6 villas and with direct access to the lake. We loved it and willBe back!

Driving through the Compound was challenging with very narrow streets..

absolutely beautiful location. the villa was lovely. very quiet in the middle of winter and peaceful. the staff was very friendly, helpful, and accessible. the road down to the place is indeed narrow, if you are renting a car, consider getting a small model.

Very good

The complex is beautiful. The indoor swimming pool is pretty amazing, especially in the winter. The vilas are pretty far from one another, which gives a lot of privacy.

Its biggest drawback is definitely the way in - I read the reviews which mention it, but I'm usually not afraid from long and winding roads, so I wasn't worried. But this one was quite tough, especially if you get one of the last vilas inside, where we were staying. There's also a smell of mold in the room. Generally I'd say that it's not a great value for money, although the place is very nice.

An idyllic scenery

Amazing environment, the villas are super private, and quiet! Good fresh breakfast. Beautiful and well kept outdoor space. The villas are very clean, and spacious, with everything you need!

TV reception is bad. And no extra outlets for chargers on the nightstand.

Amazingly beautiful

Beautiful location, of the beaten track from main tourist places, good in high season, a hidden gem! Beautiful gardens, with a lot of privacy of the other holiday houses and good swimming pool. Breakfast was very fresh and a lot. Because we stayed for a longer period (10 days) the manager invited us on a free jeep tour and free laundry service! Electric car could be charged at the house.

Because of the remote location, it took a very narrow and steep road to get to your house.

the location was magical, felt like in a ferytale. the staff was nice and breakfast homemade with fresh orange juice from the trees on the property

What a view!

Our vila was very nice. the size was more then enough for 2 persons. and the view is probably the best part of it. Breakfast was good on both quality and quantity. Owner was very friendly, even if we only spoken on the phone. Check-in process on-line in advance is a nice touch during this times.

If we have to say something, the kitchen had a bit of "pipe" smell, but with the door closed it didn't bother that much.

Don't hesitate to stay here!

Amazing place in Geres. Everything was wonderful about it. Very calm sorroundings and damm next to it for kayaking or swimming is a plus. Loved it!

Nice place to visit Gerês area

Location, architecture, scenery, pool, service, the possibility of arranging for guided tours of the region, and the quality of such guided tours. It made it possible to see way more than I could on my own, on the limited time we had.

Breakfast was advertised as local products but only the bread, honey, and jam seemed local products. I would appreciate having local cheese and local sausages instead of the industrial versions. I also didn't like the yogurt options - only flavored. I understand there were some limitations because of Covid, as the quality of the breakfast (delivered to the room instead of buffet) and the absence of room service. Also, the road access requires some extra skill to negotiate the narrow roads and U curves. But that's the price for the location.

The hospitality of the staff is just exceptionally amazing! The breakfast is very good and the location is stunning!
