Old but gold

Heerlijk ontbijt, veel keuze uit de gerechten. Vriendelijk personeel en een vlotte bediening.

Wifi in niet onbeperkt. U krijgt een pakket MB als dit op is dient u bij te betalen. Dit is niet voldoende voor doorsturen grote bestanden en of videocalls.

Malgré tout, j'ai passé un très bon séjour à l'hotel

Le fait que la carte d'accès à la chambre soit bloquée pour un petit retard de paiement malgré le long séjour !c'est un complément qui m'a personnellement dérangé franchement.

A nice hotel in a horrible city

This is Kinshasa's grand old hotel designed for mzungus and their business associates. Everything is done right, with professionalism and style. The breakfast buffet is excellent.

I've been to the capitals of 179 countries. Kinshasa is the ugliest, dirtiest, most corrupt city I've ever seen. If this hotel were anywhere else, I'd recommend it. Instead, my advice is to avoid Kinshasa at all costs. Two minor complaints: (1) The Memling's elegant restaurant "La Brasserie" plays music that one might hear at a McDonalds, and the staff if powerless to change the music. (2) The wifi is slow.

Comfort is good and it’s central and staff is nice

The restaurant needs serious attention as service is very poor and lengthy. Plates were forgotten or messed up. The massage ladies around the pool area is also not acceptable if you want to have a peaceful meal or drink.

It was wonderful place and will stay again!

The location is good with ATM Machines and friendly staff. The rooms are clean and breakfast is super! Also the hotel is very helpful when you need their service within and outside the hotel.

The hotel take time to check in you into the room if you do not pay before or on arrival your room expenses.

I had previously spent trwo weeks at the Memling about 18 months ago.

Attitude of the front office staff was terrible. They think that they are doing you a favor to serve you. Key card was not opening my door. Had to return it twice to be corrected and each time going to third floor. No suggestion to sort it out first from their side. The hotel arranged for me to be collected at the airport. I was the only person. The one sent would not help carrying one of my bags. I was a very late arrival. No effort to assist to take my bag to my room.

Nice hotel with friendly staff

The swimming had 24-hour access and was of a pleasant temperature and clean. The staff was generally friendly and some of them spoke reasonable English.

The staff had absolutely no knowledge to help a tourist - what to visit, how to get there, hours of opening, For a 5-star hotel this is not good enough. The breakfast was okay but not excellent. The small coffee machine for an entire breakfast room kept breaking. many things is the room did not work - thermostat, TV remote, light - when I arrived so I hat to keep calling the engineer late at night to fix things. The restaurant was over-priced so I ate out.
