Mixed experience

We liked the location and its facilities (pool) a lot. Stunning interior of the Masseria main building. Breakfast (in a beautiful courtyard) was really nice.

Dinner at the Pizzeria in the field (this was not communicated before). Felt like a second class dinner. The air was rather chilly. The service was mediocre at best. The pizzas from a very limited menu were horrible (2 different types). We were not even asked about coffee and then the waitress disappeared.

Short relaxing stay

Clean room, great staff, amazing breakfast. A very relaxing stay.

Unfortunately the pool couldn't be used. However, that will just be something my wife and I will try next time.

Wunderschöne Location in traumhafter Umgebung. Gerne wieder

Das Statuslicht des Fernsehers ist wirklich sehr hell. Bin eigentlich nicht so empfindlich, doch wir mussten den Fernseher mit einem Badetuch abdecken. ;-) Im Schrank hat es keine Schrankrückwand sondern es kommt gleich die normale Wand. Bei dieser blättert die Farbe ab. Dadurch mussten vor dem kleideranziehen diese jeweils zuerst ausgeschüttelt werden. Im Zimmer stehen jeweils zwei 0,5 Liter Wasserflaschen auf dem Nachttisch. Diese sind gratis. Der Rest der Minibar ist kostenpflichtig und die Preise stehen auf der Preisliste im Zimmer. Was nicht mit einem Preis gekennzeichnet ist, sind die italienischen Kekse. Daher dachten wir, dass diese (standen auf dem Tisch im Raum) auch als Geschenk gedacht sind. Leider war dies nicht der Fall. Diese kosteten um die 8€. Dies könnte besser kommuniziert werden. Geschmeckt haben sie aber super ;-) Ansonsten alles perfekt.

A perfect holiday

We loved every minute of our stay. From the moment we walked through your doors, we were enveloped in an atmosphere of warmth, elegance, and genuine hospitality. What truly stood out was the staff's commitment to ensuring that every aspect of our stay was perfect. We spent 12 nights at Masseria le Carrube and will be back next year again. Ps: Please try the pizza during your stay, it’s truly amazing!

Overall a nice stay.

We had a great time and staff was very helpful. Beautiful surroundings, although seems difficult to get anywhere except by car as properties fenced off.

Food was ok, but not quite what you expect at this level (breakfast did not include a fresh orange juice and had to be ordered / paid for in addition. Also seems a bit off when considering ethos of the place to have some orange juice from a pack). Dinners didn't really have any choice and were somewhat bland.

Unique and affordable stay in ancient Matera

Very unique location within caves in Matera. Clean and quiet accommodation with lovely breakfast.

Basic room with. It much charm. Initially hot water not working but then promptly fixed.

Perfect holiday

The stuff Italian holiday dreams are made of! The property was absolutely gorgeous. We loved eating in the restaurant but we also thought the pizzeria amongst the olive trees was just magical. Super relaxing to spend the afternoon by the beautiful pool with a spritz. The staff were all lovely, especially Tania at breakfast! Would love to return one day.

Not the hotel’s fault at all, but it might be good to have some signage at the pool with some polite requests (e.g. requesting no shouting, no cannon balling) as occasionally the behaviour of some guests at the pool did rather disrupt the peaceful and relaxing ambiance of the location.

Beautiful place to relax away from the hustle and bustle but still being in proximity of many places

The masseria was lovely with it olive groves. The facilities were excellent. I really enjoyed the vegetarian menu in the restaurant even though lm not a vegetarian. The staff were very helpful and friendly.

Didn’t offer an evening meal other than the tasting menu. A couple of a La carte choices would have been great especially if you are there for more than one night

The location was outstanding, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. Very nice room and the pool area and restaurant area were great.

The hotel could have done with a small gym or fitness equipment. It would have been a great setting surrounding the olive trees being able to train.

The setting is beautiful and we appreciated the upgrade to a studio and courtyard. The staff were knowledgeable and attentive. We enjoyed being shown round the vegetable garden.

Guests should be warned in advance that the swimming pool and surroundings would be unavailable for two out the four days of our stay due to planned renovations.
