"LA DUNA" is located in the center of El Mèdano, only 2 minutes walk to the beach (Playa Chica), supermarket and restaurants - and yet it is quiet. The absolute highlight is the private hot tub on the roof terrace, with sun loungers and dining table which invites for having breakfast in the sun.
The roof terrace offers sunshine from morning to evening.
LA DUNA" is furnished in a Mediterranean style with great attention to detail.
The holiday home offers a modern, American kitchen as well as a cozy living and dining area a sleeping room and a private garage place. The living room is equipped with a large flat screen TV, high speed internet a DVD player and a streaming player. The living area and the bedroom overlook the terrace. From here, a spiral staircase leads to your private oasis of peace - the large sunny roof terrace, with a heated hot tub, a shower, sun loungers and a large dining area.
The apartment is fully equipped, including towels, beach towels and bed linen .
"LA DUNA" is on the top floor, overlooking the El Teide volcano. An elevator takes you directly from the garage to the front door of the apartment.
The beautiful sandy beach that stretches from the village to Montaña Roja is only a 2-minute walk away.
Despite the exceptional bathing and water sports conditions, El Médano still has the character of a Spanish village, with cozy cafés by the sea, small bars with Canarian tapas, excellent seafood and fresh fish dishes.
You will be amazed by the warm Canarian atmosphere.

We loved our week here in a great location right in town so close to restaurants etc. Having a parking space under the building, with a lift from there direct to our front door was also extremely convenient! Thanks Susanne for the wine, water and cookies on arrival! Like all rentals the world over (!) there were not enough sockets in the kitchen and the light switches never seem to control the nearest lamp! But these are very minor things. The bed was comfy, but very strange to have two single duvets? The roof terrace was lovely, accessed by a cute spiral staircase, and we used the hot tub a few times - though on windy days it was quite chilly. The little terrace downstairs with table/chairs was also nice but did not get the sun much in February. El Medano is a great little town. Many thanks for a lovely stay.

We had a fantastic holiday here in El Medano. We enjoyed exploring the town and venturing out on some fabulous walks. The beaches are amazing and kept clean and tidy. We loved the choices of restaurants, cafes and bars. The apartment was perfect. The outdoor space on the roof terrace was a real bonus. Suzanne made regular contact with us and gave us very clear instructions and all the information we needed. I would definitely recommend this apartment and would love to return in the near future.

A relaxing and very enjoyable holiday!

We had a great week in El Medano. The apartment us exactly as described,. We enjoyed relaxing in the sun on the private roof terrace in the day, and choosing which restaurant for dinner each evening. Location is amazing. Great supermarket 2 mins walk. A number of cool cafes and bars too. Excellent communications with Susanne throughout. Highly recommended and we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again in the future.

The apartment was perfect, a tight spiral staircase to the roof terrace with a table and loungers and of course the hot tub El Medano was lovely, a good relaxed feel to the place. Whether it’s pizza or or something more local look to the back roads for a nice dinner Susanne was brilliant, able to give us ideas for things to do and was super responsive to any questions

Our hosts, Susanne&Thomas, are probably the best on the island and the holiday apartment is brilliantly situated, about 3 minutes from anything, supermarket, buses, beaches & restaurant. The bathroom & kitchen great. If you’re quite agile and a bit younger than we are (spiral staircase up to terrace) and also a wind surfer, this might well be your ideal holiday home. The situation near the airport makes El Médano easy to get to, but depending on wind direction, naturally also makes for aircraft noise. El Medano is an extremely friendly place, with an excellent tourist office, and we loved our holiday there.

Susanne apartment was fantastic it had everything we needed and it was lovely and clean .Susanne was on the end off a phone if any thing was wrong .and she picked us up from the airport which was so nice also the hot tub on the roof top terrace was so relaxing after a day out . We both had the most amazing stay at this beautiful apartment. The apartment was well equipped with everything that we needed and more. The location was perfect for us, near our favourite beach, shops and restaurants. We spent a lot of time sitting in the sun relaxing on the roof top terrace, cooling off with the shower and chillaxing in the hot tub. Sitting and reading on the cute balcony off the lounge and bedroom reading and drinking coffee or the odd glass of wine. Susanne our lovely host picked us up and dropped us off at the airport which was lovely of her and added to a stress free trip away. We will definitely be back to stay and would recommend this lovely apartment to everyone. Thank you for having us Susanne.

This is the second time we have stayed in Susanne's apartment and we will be back! The apartment is very clean and spacious for two people. The roof terrace is completely private and the hot tub is a bonus. El Medano is a lovely small resort with some good restaurants, cafes and bars, and a lovely little board walk, within 5 minutes walk from the apartment. Susanne is very helpful and accommodating.

Good central property

The apartment is very close to the sea and local shops, restaurants bars etc. The roof terrace is lovely with sun loungers, table & chairs. Kitchen clean and compact with all you need for a vacation stay. Lounge area is large but sorry to say the sofa is very hard and not comfortable for a quiet night in. Bedroom is fine with again quite a hard mattress which took a few days to get used to, but that is just a personal thing, maybe a mattress topper would be good for those used to a softer bed. The owner was lovely and collected us from the airport, taking us back to the apartment and explaining everything that needed an explanation.

Wonderful apartment, amazing hospitality and a beautiful town with a great chilled vibe

First of all Suzanne was a great host offering to pick us up and drop us off from the airport and even recommended an amazing pizza place! The apartment is lovely, more than enough space for two people spending evenings on the roof in the hot tub and lunches on the balcony with a midday glass of wine! The town is lovely, we’re a fairly active couple so plenty of coastal walks and amazing beaches with some fun to be had having a day surfing and anothe day exploring reefs down the coast. Some lovely bars nearby with a great relaxed vibe and friendly atmosphere! And cheap for beer and food. Overall we will 110% be planning to return to El Medano to surf and relax and hopefully back to this lovely apartment as well for too much wine in the hot tub!! Thanks Suzanne hopefully see you again!

The spacious apartment is minutes away from the beach, restaurants and supermarket. The rooftop terrace was perfect for sunbathing and relaxing in the hot tub. Susanne was very helpful from my initial enquiry and met us at the airport and took us to the apartment. The bubbly and cake on arrival was a nice touch too. Would highly recommend this apartment and El Médano if you are looking for a quiet resort with a real Spanish feel. Thank you Susanne.

This is a gem!

We stayed in this amazing flat for 1 week and I would recommend it to any couple looking for a comfortable, well located and quiet accommodation (at 2-5 minutes' walk from the heart of El Medano, with all the beachfront restaurants) in which you'll feel like at home. It has everything you need and even more, including a nespresso machine. The jacuzzi was amazing to soothe our sore muscles after a day of outdoor activities. Susanne is a very nice landlord, available, reliable and always ready to help. I can't think of anything to improve and I will surely look at renting this flat again if I come back to El Medano.

The apartment is perfect for a couples getaway. Modern, tidy and clean. Good sized and well equipped bathroom, lounge, bedroom and kitchen. The little terrace by the lounge is great for a quick alfresco lunch or drink. And the roof terrace and spa is sun drenched and private - great for lounging about and reading a book. El Medano is a lovely quiet little village, a world away from the tacky Tenerife resorts. There's a nice boardwalk for afternoon strolls, and some excellent restaurants for dinners out (highly recommend Pizzeria Wairua). And Susanne is a great host. Really helpful upon arrival, and just a text message away for any questions and info during our stay. W can highly recommend Susanne's apartment, and El Medano!

Superb time in El Medano

Superb time in El Medano

Nothing was too much trouble and there was plenty of contact before our stay with Doris and Thomas, and very helpfully gave a quick tour of the resort before taking us to the apartment. The apartment was immaculate and had everything you could need as we did cook a few times rather than eat out every night which is a temptation! In particular the roof terrace was lovely and enjoyed exposure to the sun all day. El Medano is a more traditional Spanish resort and a world away from Playa Las America's, and there is a choice of several restaurants and tapas bars serving good quality food, at very reasonable prices. While you might look at the location of the resort and it's proximity to the airport, you needn't worry as they don't fly over the resort, if anything they are in the distance and it doesn't disturb you at all. We had a fantastic time,would highly recommend, and looking forward to going back to this lovely apartment.
