Great location, just off the main street but still very quiet. Very friendly and helpful host met who us where the taxi dropped us off and showed us to the apartment. We spent a week in Essaouira and loved it.
The beds and the pillows are very firm but this did not bother us. WiFi was not very fast.

Well located, and a beautiful room
It is not clear how to arrive to the place. Fortunately the owner was outside looking for us.

Owner of the Dar is a nice French speaking man who genuinely checks if everything's okay every time you cross paths. Dar is very centrally located, though a bit hard to find without help. Really nice place.

The stay was absolutely great. The riad is very picturesque with a terrace where you can both feel the wind of Essaouira and dry your clothes. The host is probably the kindest person in Morocco and gave us a tour where he showed us where to eat or where to go in general. Would absolutely recommend to anyone staying in Essaouira.
The accomodation is slightly hard to find - look for blue doors with DK written on top.

This apartment is very basic but clean and cosy. It’s 10 minutes walk to the beach and right in the middle of the souk. The location was perfect. The host is very helpful. We had trouble finding the place and he came to meet us in the market to take us to the apartment. He was always available on the end of a text for anything we needed. 😄👍🏼
There is a wardrobe in only one bedroom but most annoying thing about the place was the complete absence of any hanging hooks in the other bedrooms and in the en-suite bathroom. It’s a small thing but makes all the difference because we had to drape wet towels on bed to dry. Even some nails in the wall would make a difference. There’s no electric kettle or microwave oven. The kettle is an old fashioned one that takes ages to be boiled on the hob and has no whistle so you have to stand over it. It has an extra firm mattress in master bedroom which gave my wife backache but I and plenty of people might appreciate it

The location was exceptional right inside the Essaouira Medina. The staff were really lovely and attentive they try to help us in every way. The rooms were situated in an interioro courtyard really nice.
The installations were a little bit old with some of the malfunctioning. The sink weren't working and also some of the lights didn't turn on.

He is the absolute sweetest, kindest, and most accommodating host ever. The location is very good, easy to find. The rooftop terrace is really nice. As long as you bring your own liquids (soap, shampoo, body wash, etc.) you will have a great stay!

The location is perfect, right in the Medina. The room is spacious and had access to the terrace. The manager is trully welcoming and makes sure you have everything you need. He was kind enough to allow me an early check in. When I arrived to the street I guess I was looking quite lost :) and a local man very kindly showed me the way. As a solo young woman traveller I felt safe in the city of Essaouira and in the Riad. If I had more time I would stay longer!
I was there in early March and it was very pleasant. I had the feeling it could turn out to be super hot during summer, specially in the room I stayed and the terrace (being both on the rooftop).
Luckily I had my soap & champoo; there was none in the toilet. It would be helpful to have some soap for emergencies.

Very good location. Very clean and quiet. And a very nice staff.
Impossible to find. Fix the meeting in front of the pharmacy on the main road. The owner wil be waiting for you. The only very unconfortable.thing is a.courious ""open space bathroom" even for a couple. I can't immagine for friends... maybe the other room has a standard bathroom with a door or curtain.

In a middle of city, very quiet stay. Nice and clean place. We were group of 10 And all of us were more than satisfied.

I personally really enjoyed this place because it had an authentic Maroccan feel. The owner was super friendly and showed us where the fish market was, he advised us to buy fish and bring it to the restaurant to cook it, and that was great! There is a terrace that with a view over the city's rooftops, where we hanged our clothes when we washed them. The apartment was nice and simple, with hot water in the bathroom and the owner even brough us a heater because we were cold. The location is very good!
It was a bit cold, but then the owner brough us a heater, and in some rooms there was a lack of sockets. It was difficult to find, finally we just asked some random person near where google told us it was.
